At first, Karma did not bother saying anything. He was going to say something insensitive like, 'It's a lot better than being a demon', but decided against it. "Thinking as a human isn't completely terrible," Karma said with another glasses adjustment. Even though he had a habit of belittling humans, he would have much rather to be born as one. He would love his problems to be simple, such as paying bills or getting a stable career in medicine. But now that his cover has been blown, there was no point in pretending to be one. His job including putting his life on the line regularly, and his stress lied in keeping Xander's presence hidden from his superior angels. "It's probably better if you keep that line of thinking," says Karma with a small sigh. "At least your morals are still intact that way."
"Some things you can't speed up without forcing it, Xander," the angel says with a quick scratch at his head. He knew that remembering his past was something very important to him, but he did not want the other to have another mental breakdown if all of his memories flushed him at once. Sure, there was a decent chance that Xander would be able to take it just fine, but there was still a decent chance that he would not. "I do think that you should let everything play out naturally, but I will look for a good magic user that can help you," he promised. Even if he wanted Xander to take it slow, he had no right to dictate how he had went about it. These were XANDER'S memories, not his. The most he could do was support him in anyway he could. "There's a warlock that I heard of that is pretty good in terms of healing. I'm sure he can help you with regaining your memories. He is an American, though. So I'll have to see if he wouldn't mind coming to us. As we already have enough on our plate."
Karma had definitely wished he could just vanish in thin air right about now. He was so embarrassed that he was surprised that he was not blushing. When he heard Xander laugh and comment on how 'adorable' he was, his first thought was 'Is that what it's called? Complimenting?' If he had kept this line of mistakes going, he might accidentally professed his feelings within the next thirty minutes. So, he kept himself from doing so by keeping his mouth shut. The last thing he needed was to humiliate himself even further. That was until Xander placed his hand on his thigh. He felt his ears turn red hot, and was praying that his cheeks would not do the same.
"Eh-Yes, it is extremely uncomfortable," Karma blurted out as a way to put his mind onto something else. "It feels as if someone has grabbed my arms and pulled them behind my back with a tight rope and knotted it with a rubber band." He did not realize how brutally honest he had sounded, and began regretting saying it in such a manner. It was probably better if he would have filtered himself, as he did not want Xander to worry too much about him. "Most angels, or any winged creature in general, are grown up in environments where they can keep their wings out at all times. But since I grew up with a human family, I couldn't necessarily do that. The longer I keep them hidden, the more I risk my skin tearing open like it had when my wings had first came out."
