Alissa bites her lip. "...I-i just don't want you getting hurt..." She said softly while looking down and starting to shake slightly.

Clarissa entered the Head's dorms, seeing Mortimer and Alissa. "Do you guys know who she was? Did you get a clear look of what house she was in?" The Slytherin girl remembered seeing the symbol of the deatheaters on the wall, and that was never a good thing.


Piers walked closer to the mark of the death eaters smeared on the wall. "I'm worried about this symbol, the deatheaters have been inactive for years now. When I still worked at the ministry, there were reports of increased deatheater memberships, but I never thought it would've turned into something like this."

Alexander sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "All the students are in the dorms..."


Alissa looks at her. "...she was a first year student, sorted into Hufflepuff..." She said softly aince she had seen the tie and remembered helping a girl out at the beginning of the year before she vanished.

"It may be a death eater, but one with different motives. Possibly not a deatheater at all, but someone who knew that the symbol would get a rise out of the school." August replied inspecting the message. "Also, the put the symbol meant to represent the Order of the Phoenix. This person is very righteous, their message shows that they believe that they know things we don't." "Not to mention they killed a Pureblood. Deatheaters typically go for muggleborns and half-bloods."


"I can't just sit here and do nothing." Leo said to the other 3 head indignantly. "I'm coming too."

Mortimer nodded. "I'll be glad to have you. We can split up and cover more ground." He then turned to Alissa. "I will be safe I promise."

Alissa looking at him. "Did you not hear a vord I said? It's bloody dangerous to be out there alone! But fine! Do vhat ever you vant! I'm staying here!" She said as she got up and quickly went to her room, tears in her eyes.

Mortimer felt bad for making Alissa upset. He wanted her to be happy and more than anything he needed for her to be safe. The idea that something was dangerous in the school could hurt or kill someone scared him. He had to protect her and everyone else. "I should talk to her shouldn't I?"

Leo nodded patting Mortimer on the back. "Yes, yes you should. Now go talk with your girly."

A paper crane flies in and lands on Leo's shoulder, it flaps its wings gently before stopping its movements.

Mortimer nodded and found Alissa's room. He knocked softly and kindly, not wanting a fight to happen or for her to think he was angry. "Can we talk for a minute please?"

Alissa sniffs for a moment. "...I-I suppose zo..." She said softly while curling up tighter in her bed.

Mortimer opened her door and walked inside. Unsure where to be he sat on the floor as so he was intrusive. "I know you don't want me out in the castle this late at night. I just. Well I am going to be in the tournament. I am already stressed with it and I don't want to have to worry about something bad happening to you. It scares me to think that you could be targeted next. You are one of the few people I actually care about here. I just need to know that you will be okay."

Alissa curled up many fluffy and comfy blankets, peeks out a bit so he can see her eyes. "Morti... Even zo these competitions are used to test one's strength, knowledge and courage... It iz quite possible I'll be used as in the tournament to propel you..."

"If they do use you. I'll win that task first. I don't think I would function well if I lost you. Besides your eyes are too pretty." Said Mortimer with a warm smile. He didn't wear it often but around her he wanted to. "You know there is a flaw with the knight in silver armor. His metal has never been tested. Me. Well I'll have rusted armor to prove I am worthy for you."

Alissa smiles a tiny bit under her covers while looking at him. "I thought the ztory vent like the knight had shining armor... They never said it vas shilver..." She said softly while looking at him under the covers.

Leo looked at the paper crane curiously, picking it gently off the ground and opening it.

Paper crane: I know you probably do not care but I vas unavare of vhat happened to that girl until after... I vas on my vay to the library vhen I heard something behind me... I don't know vho or vhat it vas but it left me alone after I slid down one of the secret passageways that leads out near the Slytherin dorms... I am back in the Gryffindor common room... ~Bella.

"Never was a fan of the saying. The shining knight I mean. It didn't make sense to me until about five minutes ago." Said Mortimer as he grabbed a quill that he had tucked behind his ear. He examined it before taking his wand put. Being one of the best transfiguration students he knew a few ticks. So using a silent spell he turned the quill into a metal flower. It was a flower that didn't exist but it was still pretty. He rested it on her bed.

Leo folded the note up and put it into his pocket, using a charm to hide the message just in case. "Hey guys, I'm going to head over to the Gryffindor common room. "I scream if I need anything." He added on jokingly, leaving the dorm quickly just in case Alissa decided to yell at him for making such a dark joke.


Leo headed down the hallways silently and cautiously, not realizing that the shadow from earlier was trailing him. It did not attack though, because Leo, just like Bella, did not have the correct scent.


"Hey! What are you doing out in the halls, boy?" Leo resisted the urge to freeze or run and turned around smiling -in what he hoped- was a charming manner. "I was heading to the Gryffindor common room, but I really had to use the restroom so I took a quick detour sir. But I was on my way there right now, I swear to you." The teacher looked Leo over suspiciously, before deciding that he was telling the truth. "Alright, I'll let you off with a warning son, but next time I'll have to report you to Truenen. You don't just go running off during a lock down." The elderly man scolded the teenage boy before heading off. Leo decided not to take anymore chances and quickly jogged to the Gryffindor house, slipping inside. "Bella? Are you in here?

Alissa looks at it before peeking her head out of her Fort of covers and blankets. "...thank you..." She said softly while moving a bit and taking it lightly.


Bella glances up from the couches where she is sitting. "Leo? Are you crazy? Vhat are you doing here?" She said while getting up and walking over to him.

"This flower is a promise. The day it wilts away and dies is the day I won't return. Now I am going after that idiot. I will make sure he and the others are safe." Mortimer stood up slowly and headed to the door. He moved slowly enough so that if she needes or wanted to say anything she could. He would return.

Alissa bites her lip a bit before lightly tugging on his sleeve after putting the rose on her bed side table. "V-vait..."

Alissa lightly tugs on his sleeve to get him to come down to her level before placing a kiss on his cheek. "...good luck... Ztay zaphe..." She said softly before letting go of his sleeve.

"What does look like madam? I'm risking my entire education and came here to begin my life long dream of being a muggle detective!" Leo replied grinning as he sat in a chair looking up at her. "Also, this is my house common room too."
