"Who was she? I didn't catch the name." Asked Mortimer. He had already gotten his house to settle down and told them to behave. He would go and check on them in an hour.

Alissa sits down on the couch. "She was a first year... Just sorted into Hufflepuff."

"Hogwarts isn't safe. Not anymore." Flossie said, "I... I did read-" That was when she stood up abruptly and walked over to the window. She peered out of the window, looking out over the grounds.


"I know you're out there." she whispered, "I can sense it."

Diamond sighed, following her, her defeat turned to confusion, "Uh, who are you talking to?" She asked, glancing out the window over her shoulder. "What can you sense?" She asked, confused. (Wb)

"Terrible. Who ever did this is going to have to pay the price. Let's just hope they send them off to Azkaban. There is no need to kill some girl that just started her life." Said Mortimer with a long sigh.


Lorcan and Lysander were sitting across from each other scared and annoyed. The death had been frightening and now the common room was packed full of people. They felt like they couldn't breath.

"Hm? Nobody." Flossie said, staring out of the window, "I'm not talking to anybody in particular. It's starting to get pretty cold outside, don't you think? I think I might write to my mum and ask her to get me some gloves for Christmas." She smiled, "That'd be nice." She drifted back over to where they'd been sitting and sat down, humming to herself quietly.

Alissa looks up towards him. "Can you sit with me?..." She asked softly while biting her lip a bit as she looked at him.

Diamond obviously was confused but shrugged it off, "That would be sweet, tell them not to worry... I might call my dad......." Suddenly, her hair turned a dark depressing blue. "... I hope he's fine" She suddenly took out her wand, the crystal gleamed as she took it out. "Well, I should probably practice for class" She said, humming slightly. "Expecto Patronus" A unicorn burst out of the tip of her wand, it was very elegant as it stepped towards Diamond, it suddenly started fading to a blob before fading away.

 

[Athens]

The shadow was just about to attack when it caught Bella's accent and retreated with a hiss, leaving the smell of burnt cinnamon behind.

Alexander making his way back towards the other teachers, his wand out as he walks up.


Bella blinks as she smells cinnamon and raises a brow. "Hov odd..."

Mortimer nodded and went over to her and slide his hand in her's. It was hurting from him hitting the table but in her hands he was able to ignore it. "Everything will be okay. We won't let any more deaths occur."

Alissa rested her head against his shoulder, holding his hand lightly in her as she laces her fingers with his. "I hope so..." She said softly while closing her eyes.

Leo sighed walking into the heads dorm. He was deathly worried about his sister and how she was holding up. But she said she was fine and didn't need his help, and at least she had Albus to keep an eye on her.


Opal trudged into the Ravenclaw common room and sat down in a chair exhausted.


Albus walked through the dungeons with Marley to the Slytherin house when he saw Bella down another corridor. "Bella? What are you doing down here?"

Leo sighed walking into the heads dorm. He was deathly worried about his sister and how she was holding up. But she said she was fine and didn't need his help, and at least she had Albus to keep an eye on her.

Bella blinks and looks towards them. "I vas on my vay to the library vhen I hear something behind me... So I quickly head down the secret passage there..." She said softly while rubbing her arms.


Cassiopeia and Rebecca look at her worriedly as Scorpius narrows his eyes. "It's possible that whoever or whatever killed that girl was following you.."

Lysander of all people ran to Opal and hugged her. "I am glad you are okay Opal. I was worried about you."


"Sorry about the rage earlier. I... I know how the family must feel. It is going to be hard for them." Said Mortimer hoping the girl's memory would live on happily.

Alissa sighs softly and closes her eyes. "It's okay Mortimer... It's going to be hard and very difficult here too now... Hogwarts isn't safe anymore..."

"Well, is it still folllowing you Bella?" Albus asked her. "No, we would sense its presence." Marley responded cryptically tapping her finger against her arm. "The worst thing any of you can do is travel alone. Now can we go?" Albus watched Marley uneasily. "Marleen, is there something you're not telling us about what happened?" Marley shot Albus a dirty look and walked off by herself.


Opal hugged him back, just needing a familiar sense of comfort from someone she knew. "I'm glad I'm okay too. I don't think I would handled out any better if I was the one to find that body and not Marley."


"What was her blood status?" August mulled it over for a minute. "Pureblood." Truenen raised her eyebrow at that. "Pureblood, are you sure?" "Certain." "Well that's peculiar. Don't let any of the students know this new piece of information. This stays between the teachers and staff, only."

"We have to make it safe. I may not have family here but lots of others do. We need to make it safe for them." Said Mortimer with a voice of someone determined in their goals and would make sure they happened.


Lysander broke the hug and took a deep breath. "Yeah I know what you mean. I would have broken."

"Now I'm not very excited, or looking forward to the rest of the school year here." Opal looked at the fireplace lost in her thoughts. "I just don't feel safe now."

Bella shakes her head. "No... But it oddly smells of cinnamon..." She said softly and looks confused.


Rebecca, Cassiopeia decide to walk Bella to the Gryffindor commonroom.


Scorpius looks at them. "Be careful..."


Alissa sighs softly and looks at him. "I hope so..." She said softly while closing her eyes.

Albus sighed standing with Scorpius. "There's something she's not telling us Cory. I can feel that she's holding back on something."

Lysander smiled. "Hey they'll catch whatever or whoever did this before anyone else even gets hurt." Wither his words would be true or not only time would tell but he had to believe to believe it. Hope was the best thing they could have at the moment, they would all need it even if it lasted a few weeks.


Mortimer took his hand away from Alissa's and instead wrapped it over her shoulder in a kind embrace. "I'll be doing a round in a few minutes."

Alissa looks at him. "Are you crazy? Did you hear the headmistress? No one is allowed out of their dorms after dark..." She said while leaning against him.

"I know. I just need to. It'd take ease my head a little. Besides I have to make sure the other students are obeying the rule i'll be breaking." Said Mortimer as he gave her a smile.
