~Basic Combat 101~

"No, Mars, it's fine. It's not your fault I'm being a big baby about this. It's what you want, so go for it! No strings attached, 'kay?"

Even though she had smiled and acted fine, Mars could easily tell that Lyra was still upset by the whole ordeal. It was a very difficult situation he found himself in. Should he go through with the transfer and get what he'd wanted from the beginning, or cancel it and stay in the same class as Lyra? Normally this wouldn't even have been a decision and he'd gone with the one that benefited him, but just like everything that had involved Lyra recently, things were way more complicated than they should have been. No, don't let emotions control your decisions. think logically. Mars gave a small nod back at Lyra. "Thanks. The change takes place tomorrow, so don't worry when I don't show up in class." He had a hard time thinking of other things to say, as that familiar feeling that had been bothering him was still present. Luckily, he'd planned to definitively figure out what had been bothering him at lunch, so he didn't have long to wait.

Laying down on his back and placing his hands behind his head, he stared blankly into the air. The best option at the moment seemed to be to just relax. Continuing on with this conversation would only make things harder for him. He tried to think of something to say to Lyra that would lead to a casual conversation in order to lighten the mood, but his mind was drawing blanks. Instead, he just listened to his surroundings for the time being.

"What exactly is your ability?"

Mars' eyes darted upwards from his position to look at the person who spoke and who she addressed. It seemed that Lyra's partner, who he was pretty sure was named Cylva, was talking to Geno. It didn't really concern him, but Mars was also interested in the answer to the question, partly because he only saw a glimpse of it before and partly because he always liked to be prepared for anything. He turned his attention back to the sky, but kept his ears open, listening in on the conversation.

The girl seemed to light up pretty fast, and seemingly immediately abandoned her shyness. Interesting. Either way, she took his hand and they shook. She looked at her hand where he had made the metal effect, and asked him "What exactly is your ability?", which made him chuckle. "That's a really good question. I ain't sure, but it works like metal that I can control and manipulate. I can create it from nothing, too." He held out his hand and slowly made a spike rise out of his palm. "Well, I just call it metal. I have no idea what it is, it just feels like iron to the touch. It ain't even magnetic, so I'm pretty sure it ain't metal at all." He looked at her arm, which was still covered in her crystals. He thought for a moment, and then asked "Is it safe to assume that you've got problems with making it disappear, since you've still got that clunky mass connected to your arm?"

He remembered having issues making his material disappear, but that was many years ago. He could make it disappear on instinct now. It was as natural to him as breathing, but he tried his best to remember how he started out. "I had the same problem when I was a kid, having metal stuck to me all the time, but I eventually found this way to make it disappear. I just.. don't remember... Oh wait, I remember now. Hm.. I don't know if it helps you, since we're not exactly the same, but if you feel deep within yourself, is there a passive feeling that you only feel when you're using the crystals? It's kinda hard to find, you get used to the feeling and forget about it. It should be more apparent when you're creating more crystals though.. Either way.. If there's a feeling you get when you create the crystals, you can try and focus on that, and I'm not sure how to explain this.. Try to 'let it go', if that makes sense to you. I don't know if it will work, but that's how I do it."

Maria Scarlette

"Oh, I'm Rafaela. The pleasure is all mine!" I like this girl. "I can control any animal, including insects, though with a limit. And as to what you can do, sometimes they get hurt in battle, and since I'm always in the front line as well, I don't have time to take care of them, so I just tell them to abandon the battle. However, some doesn't make it. If I give them the order, they'll obey you, that would make it easier for you to assist them, or,them to assist you. Got it?"

"So if I got that right," Maria started, "You mean to say that as you summon animals to your side and have them fight for you, you'll send them over to me so I can heal them, then I can send them back into battle. Right? Or did I get that wrong?" It was a great plan, if Maria even got it right, but even if she didn't it sounded like it could be a great plan still.

"Oh, and about Isaak, just ignore him. Where would be the fun if we don't get hurt a least a little bit? Like, if I got a scar I would be really happy. I mean, I know it hurts and all, but dude, that's like a history of when I almost died. Awesome." I really like this girl. "Brilliant! Just make sure you don't get yourself hurt too badly, OK? I'm responsible for your safety, so keep that in mind, please. It's only natural I'm going to be worried about you." Maria just realized she said you, which could have been mistaken for her only addressing Rafaela.

"Ignore me!?" Isaak bellowed. "Oh," Maria flinched a bit purely out of shock, "I swear to you, after we finish this, you'll be receiving a all from my agent! Both of you will!!"

As much as I like Rafaela, Maria thought, And as much as I hate Isaak, we can't work like this. Maria needed to do something to make them get along, but what?

Mirabelle Ami

"That's good. Friends are good. You and I are friends now yes? Good."
Ami smiled - Aleks was a bit strange, but he was nice.

"I am no fighter but I will defend you. Perhaps you be the offensive and I will be the defensive. Strike first and retreat while I defend you. Or I can hold back the beast until you find a good point to destroy it. Either way, friends will prevail no?"

Friends will prevail? What? "Er, yeah. That's right," Ami agreed. "But, er, haven't we already won? We dealt with the monster already, didn't we?" Ami looked around the area - The monster was lying limp about a dozen steps away from her and Aleks. "I guess worrying about future fights could be smart, but... Well, I'm not sure how useful my power is in battle. I need a weapon to fight effectively, I think..." Hm... Strike first, run away, repeat. Sounds like a good strategy, come to think of it. "But I think your idea for a strategy would work."

Cylva listened intently as he explained what his ability was. It sounded quite interesting, and it did sound as if their abilities were rather similar. There were obvious differences, but she concluded that using the differences between their abilities, and finding the similarities between them, they would likely be able to figure out things about themselves that they hadn't known previously.

"Is it safe to assume that you've got problems with making it disappear, since you've still got that clunky mass connected to your arm?"

Cylva sighed, "yes, that's correct. Up until Saturday, I've only ever tried to just ignore them, and pretend they weren't there. To be normal. I'd never actually thought of trying to control them at all, so this whole thing's still pretty new to me." She nodded, indicating the mutilated carcass a few feet away from them. "I wasn't trying to kill it... I was only trying to subdue it. Obviously, I've still got a bit of work to do." Cylva chuckled softly as she explained the miscalculation. She couldn't help but wonder why she was opening up to Geno so quickly, but for some reason he didn't bother her like most other people did.

"Try to 'let it go', if that makes sense to you. I don't know if it will work, but that's how I do it."

A passive feeling? The idea didn't make any sense to her, at that point in time. However, the advice was the first she'd ever been given on the subject of the crystals, and she resolved to keep that "passive feeling" in mind, should she ever encounter it. She nodded. "Thank you for the advice. Any general tips you can give that may have been helpful for you, would be quite welcome. While they may not do anything for me, it's worth a shot. I'm pretty much starting from scratch, so I'm willing to try just about anything." She grinned. She'd successfully(ish) used her ability in combat, and perhaps found a study partner, as well. Perhaps today wasn't going to go as poorly as she'd initially thought.

~Professor Giovia Eriwind/Professor Xavier Caige~

Xavier crossed his arms as he watched Geno walk off, and Giovia sighed. The healer turned towards the fighter and said, "Do you see anything special in him?"

The man silently nodded, not replying to her verbally. He watched carefully as the boy approached another group of students, and as Xavier looked around, he saw that most of them had either given up on their monsters, were in the process of fighting them, or had already won. As he checked his watch, this seemed about right, as it was about 11:30 a.m. He would give the students another fifteen minutes with their monsters, and then he and Giovia would lead them back through the forest and to the school. . .and then he and Giovia would work on making adjustments to the groups. So much work to be done. . .not to mention that he had to try to find out what had gotten into Hawthorne. All of the professors already knew it was a threat, but what was it?

When Giovia placed a hand on his shoulder, Xavier sighed. She gently patted it, and said, "I know. . .I'm worried, too."

"Is it even safe to have them out here?" Xavier asked quietly. Giovia sighed, dropping her hand.

". . .that is hard to say. Probably not." Giovia replied. ". . .but I say that we need to prepare these students, so if worst comes to worst, they can at least defend themselves. I'm sure everything will be fine. Kinya is working hard to figure out what could have done this, you and I are both coming back here tonight to look for. . .clues, I suppose. Crysta's meditating on it, trying to decode those 'messages', and Liam stayed up all night reading books about monsters. We'll figure this out, Xavier. Don't worry."

Xavier nodded, slightly comforted by Giovia's words, and then took a few steps from her. He looked at the students who were still fighting, and sighed. He straightened his arm in front of him, extending his middle and index fingers. After he took a moment to aim, the man shot out an incredibly wave of fire. The wave split off into about 10 individual missiles, each landing on 10 individual Nor'zlads. The air was filled with the pain filled roars of the burning creatures before they went silent. Xavier shook his hand into the air, a few puffs of smoke clearing from his fingers, as he called, "Attention all students! We are going back to Hawthorne now. You will receive you grades tomorrow. Some adjustments will be made to the groups, but not many. If your Nor'zlad just burst into flames, do not worry. That was a mere demonstration of my incredible--"

Giovia elbowed the man in the ribs.

"Uh. . .what I meant was, do not worry. . .you all fought very well." he said, his eyes drifting down to Giovia, who nodded approvingly.

~Basic Healing and Protection 101~

~Lyra/Kahra~

"Thanks. The change takes place tomorrow, so don't worry when I don't show up in class."

Lyra nodded at Mars, and said,
"Alright. Hey, you do plan on having lunch with me, right? I have a few things I want to talk to you about. Mostly about the tea-party and what we earned, but a few other things--"

"Attention all students! We are going back to Hawthorne now. You will receive you grades tomorrow. Some adjustments will be made to the groups, but not many. If your Nor'zlad just burst into flames, do not worry."

As Lyra heard Xavier's voice, she sighed. Class was pretty much over. . .but she and Cylva had actually taken care of their own monster, which was more than she could say about half of the students. The President stood up and looped her arm through Mars's, saying, "Well, I guess that's that, then, right?"

Kahra raised an eyebrow as the girl laced her arm through Mars's, and she sucked in her cheeks. Yes, they were obviously pretty good friends. . .or were they more than that? The girl tapped her fingers across her arm before asking,
"So are you two. . .um. . .an item then? Mars, you were the one who said we needed to share everything with eachother. . .my goodness, I didn't know that you had a girlfriend. That's a pretty important thing, don't you think? Oh, I'm Kahra, by the way."

Lyra blinked at the girl, her eye twitching slightly. Instead of pulling away from Mars as she usually would have, she stood her ground. She simply nodded and said, "Yes, I am his girlfriend. I am his friend, and I happen to be a girl. Girl-friend! Nice to meet you, Kahra. I'm Lyra. Now come on, we'd better go over there so we can head back to school. . ."

Mars analyzed what he could from what Geno said about his powers, which was honestly very little. From what he gathered, he could create some form of liquid metal, and that this metal didn't have normal properties. Why was Geno so bad at explaining things? Either way, he knew more than he did before, and if Mars' theory on it was true and this substance came from the boys body, then keeping him at a distance seemed like a strategy that would work if they ever sparred.

"Alright. Hey, you do plan on having lunch with me, right? I have a few things I want to talk to you about. Mostly about the tea-party and what we earned, but a few other things--"

Mars turned towards Lyra, panicking inside his head. He'd planned to go see Crysta and see if she wouldn't mind finding out exactly what these feelings inside of him were for lunch. He was going. That wasn't changing, but the fact that he would seemingly abandon her twice in one day probably wouldn't sit well with her. Standing up as Xavier signaled the classes end, he felt Lyra's arm loop through his, causing him to let out a sigh. Telling her wasn't going to be easy, that was for sure.

"So are you two. . .um. . .an item then? Mars, you were the one who said we needed to share everything with each other. . .my goodness, I didn't know that you had a girlfriend. That's a pretty important thing, don't you think? Oh, I'm Kahra, by the way."

The statement caused Mars to uncharacteristically recoil, face reddening around the cheeks. Usually whenever someone had said something like that in the past, he'd just make some joke about it and move on, as he never thought about the two of them being together like that. Of course, now that he knew he may have some sort of attraction towards Lyra, his heart was once again messing with his usual groove.

"Yes, I am his girlfriend. I am his friend, and I happen to be a girl. Girl-friend! Nice to meet you, Kahra. I'm Lyra. Now come on, we'd better go over there so we can head back to school. . ."

He quickly pulled his arm away from Lyra's hold and backed away from the two, nervously scratching the back of his head and turning to face Kahra. "What she said! W-we're friends, and nothing more. Just c-close friends is all!" He then faced Lyra and continued. "And about lunch, sorry, but I have something important that I need to do when it starts. I don't know how long it'll take, but I won't be able to join you right away." Mars coughed into his hand as he tried to calm himself down. This fluttering heart he was experiencing was something that he hoped would be solved by the end of lunch, but at the moment it wasn't making things easy on him.

"Attention all students! We are going back to Hawthorne now. You will receive you grades tomorrow. Some adjustments will be made to the groups, but not many. If your Nor'zlad just burst into flames, do not worry."

Luke felt downtrodden; not because he didn't do anything with his powers, not due to the fact that he didn't incapacitate the beast, but rather that he let Gwen down. He felt ashamed of himself, because of his inability to do anything they were going to get a bad score. But in the end, what could he have done? His power wasn't made for the day, it was a means of using the dark during the night. But or some strange reason, he felt that such methods were deemed 'underhanded' by the teachers of this school. From a young age, he found that sneaking up behind people almost as natural as breathing. The Irishman felt that he was a dab hand at the art, even from a young age. But why they didn't support such a practice, he could never fathom. Also the fact that he was going to get a NG in this exam, really only boiled the anger inside him. Why would he have to conform to the way everybody else was trained? Open-combat was pointless in his eyes, that would be giving both participants a more or less equal chance of winning. Maybe, they found the concept of stealth a cowardice one, or maybe they couldn't think of a way to teach it. Maybe it just a bit too evil and villainous, well, it looked like Luke was more a bad guy then he would ever be a good one; and sat right with him for some reason.

"Sorry Gwen," he apologized, a pair of angry eyes bulging eyes in his head, "Due to my errors we'll be getting bad result. You never know, maybe if they listen to my explanation, they might excuse you. But as far as I'm concerned, my grades in this class will be very low indeed. Excuse me for a moment, I need to take out my anger on something..."

With that curt explanation, he walked over to that tree, and merged with it.

There's not much we could have done anyway; look at the time of the bloody day! We might be able to slit throats and let heads roll at night though!

I'm pretty much starting from scratch, so I'm willing to try just about anything." She grinned. He gave her a smile. He did like helping people. "Alright. I'll tell you if I come to think of anything." Suddenly a loud voice was heard. "Attention all students! We are going back to Hawthorne now. You will receive you grades tomorrow. Some adjustments will be made to the groups, but not many. If your Nor'zlad just burst into flames, do not worry."

Well, he was already done with his Nor'zlad, so it didn't matter to him. Though the shouting diverted his attention from Cylva, and he noticed the group he was next to having a conversation. "So are you two. . .um. . .an item then? Mars, you were the one who said we needed to share everything with eachother. . .my goodness, I didn't know that you had a girlfriend. That's a pretty important thing, don't you think? Oh, I'm Kahra, by the way." The girl named Kahra was apparently talking about Mars and Lyra, which made Geno's heart drop. 'They're an item? But what about John? I thought-'

His train of thought was interrupted by Lyra. "Yes, I am his girlfriend." Ouch! What the hell, what happened to you and John? You bast-' "I am his friend, and I happen to be a girl. Girl-friend!" 'Oh. Thank god. I guess it wasn't as bad as I anticipated.' He thought. "Nice to meet you, Kahra. I'm Lyra. Now come on, we'd better go over there so we can head back to school..." She was right. Geno turned back to Cylva. "Well then, let's get out of here. You free tonight? I'd love to get some training done." That it could sound like he was coming onto her was above his head. In that regard, he only had his thoughts set on Calista.

--------------------------------------------- Gwendolyn Friar ---------------------------------------------

As soon as she had flipped the switch, a fireball came out of nowhere and burnt the Nor'zlad to a crisp. She loudly exclaimed some words that I'm not going to mention, but it includes some profanity mixed with surprise, and has something to do with the place bad people go to according to christianity. "Attention all students! We are going back to Hawthorne now. You will receive you grades tomorrow. Some adjustments will be made to the groups, but not many. If your Nor'zlad just burst into flames, do not worry." What. She was just getting pumped to kick some ass.

"Sorry Gwen, due to my errors we'll be getting bad result. You never know, maybe if they listen to my explanation, they might excuse you. But as far as I'm concerned, my grades in this class will be very low indeed. Excuse me for a moment, I need to take out my anger on something..." "Eh, it ain't your fault. We just didn't have the time I guess. And it's only the first lesson, I'm sure they'll be cool.."

Still disappointed and frustrated though, she decided to punch the ground. Which got a cooler result than she had expected. She had made a small crater with her punch. How awesome is that?

It was about 3 feet in diameter, and at the center where she'd punched it was deeper. Of course, this meant that she had also sunk a bit down, but like that mattered. She looked at her hand, and still remembered how she did that. She threw another punch straight forward, doing the same thing with her steam. A small shockwave of steam spread from her knuckles. She just stood there shocked for a moment. Then she jumped up and down for a second screaming "YEEAAH!" This steam thing was pretty awesome when controlled after all! Well that definitely took care of her worries in the offensive department. Her exuberant shout had attracted the attention of nearby students though, and with a head held low, and blushing cheeks, she quickly ran away to go hide in the crowd of people who had already gathered.

"What she said! W-we're friends, and nothing more. Just c-close friends is all!"

Lyra let out an annoyed huff, blowing her bangs out of her face as Mars stuttered the words.

Well, gee, when you say it like that. . .nothing more? Is being something more THAT horrible to think about, Mars? Geez. . .

When Mars pulled away from her and backed up a few steps, Lyra raised her eyebrows. She'd often hooked arms with Mars, and he's never flinched away from her. . .had she done something wrong? Why was he acting so strange.

"And about lunch, sorry, but I have something important that I need to do when it starts. I don't know how long it'll take, but I won't be able to join you right away."

There was a very long silence. Lyra's head involuntarily bowed down, and she found herself staring at her feet. Again? Now she was almost sure she had done something wrong. Why was he acting so distant? Was she really just a huge nuisance and he needed a. . .break from her? That was probably a bit dramatic, but Lyra couldn't help but feel upset by this. Why? She still didn't know.

"That's fine!" Lyra said, forcing a smile. She patted his shoulder and said, "Take your time! And if you don't make it back to the dining hall before lunch is over, we can just talk in History. It's not like Liam will notice, right?"

She laughed, shaking off the bitter feelings that were weighing upon her only moments ago, and started off towards the group of students that was forming around Xavier and Giovia. Kahra raised an eyebrow at the girl, and then looked back at Mars.

"Nice one." she sighed. "You, my friend, are absolutely clueless. CLUELESS, I tell you. You need to get yourself a good dose of Seventeen magazine, because you obviously don't know the first thing about--you know what, never mind. You'll figure it out, I'm sure. . ."

"So if I got that right, you mean to say that as you summon animals to your side and have them fight for you, you'll send them over to me so I can heal them, then I can send them back into battle. Right? Or did I get that wrong?"

"I like you, you're a fast learner. Anyway, yeah, that's exactly it. And you can also help me by yelling if I'm about to get stabbed by those horns or something like that. You see, I'm not the most focused person, and in battle I have to keep an eye on the animals. So sometimes it happens. There's plenty of things you could do, if something happens, we can always improvise." Raph scratched her chin as she said all of this. She had a concentrated expression on her face, something rare if you knew her enough. Not that she didn't think, but she was the kind of person that liked to do things on the act, not plan it ahead. She liked to go with the flow, if something happened then, well, it happened. She was just going to deal with it.

"Ignore me!? I swear to you, after we finish this, you'll be receiving a all from my agent! Both of you will!!"

Raph ran her hand on her face, she wasn't the type of person to get easily annoyed, but even she was getting affected by Isaak's spoiled attitude. She threw a glare towards him, not something usual to see on Rafaela's face.

"Can we discuss this later? You know, since, well..." The brunette made exaggerated gestures towards the monster inside the cage. "Giant Radioactive Killer Bu-" And then suddenly, the monster burst into flames. She stared at the cage with emotionless eyes, blinking quickly.

"Huh"

"Attention all students! We are going back to Hawthorne now. You will receive you grades tomorrow. Some adjustments will be made to the groups, but not many. If your Nor'zlad just burst into flames, do not worry."

" Huh."

She kept staring at the flames, not knowing what to say or to do. She turned her eyes to Maria and Isaak, opening a grin that went from ear to ear.

"Well, I guess we should head back! And I didn't even sweat!" When she turned to leave, Tom, the white pigeon, landed suddenly on her shoulder. She haven't seen him since her first day at the Academy, she missed him, and apparently he did too. "Hey, buddy!"

Cylva looked around, breathing a sigh of relief. As bad as she'd felt for killing the creature in such a gruesome manner, it was a little bit relieving to see the remainder of the beasts engulfed in flame. At least the fate of the one she'd slain hadn't been too much worse than that of the others, if at all. Is class already almost over? It all went so fast. How long had they been in this forest?

"Well then, let's get out of here."

Let's? As in, together? Cylva softly cleared her throat, and adjusted the neckline of her turtle neck, wondering what exactly was going on with her body. She was reacting very oddly to the boy, for some reason, and though it was cool in the forest, found herself breaking out in a small cold sweat, as she typically did when she was nervous.

"You free tonight? I'd love to get some training done."

Of course I am! Cylva hesitated for a moment, and, not wanting to seem over-eager, spoke slowly. "Umm... I think I am. I'm not quite sure, though. I've got some other stuff I need to double check, but tonight should work fine." Though the lie was silly, and entirely unnecessary, she didn't want to seem too available. TRAINING? Cylva had seen movies. Plenty of movies. And read plenty of books. If she was right, in the context of this particular school, training was the equivalent of studying. Which, in nearly every single movie, and/or book she'd seen, and/or read, where the idea had come about, studying usually turned into a date of sorts. Essentially, the words Geno had spoken, by Cylva's impeccable sense of logic, and her superior abilities of translation, actually meant something similar to the following: "You free tonight? I'd love to take you out somewhere fancy, have a great night, and otherwise 'woo' you." ...of course, it was a rough translation, and a word may be slightly off, here and there. But she'd understood the gist of it.

Cylva blushed fiercely, her face darkening to a deep shade of crimson, and nodded, reaffirming her earlier statment. "Y-yeah. Tonight sh-should work just f-fine." She cleared her throat again, and looked down at her feet. My third day at school, and I've already got a date! The thought was awe-inspiring, and she found herself eager to be done with school for the day, so she could call her mother and relay the day's events. Thank the gods for her superior translation skills.

"Umm... I think I am. I'm not quite sure, though. I've got some other stuff I need to double check, but tonight should work fine."

'She needs to double check? Well, that's a bummer' Geno thought. He'd been a little excited to have the opportunity to train with someone with powers like his. It would give him an entirely different perspective on his own fighting ability. The girl seemed flustered, and he was about to say 'If you've got something to do, don't let me bother you.' when Cylva stuttered; "Y-yeah. Tonight sh-should work just f-fine."

He didn't understand why she suddenly stuttered, but it reminded him of Calista, who also stuttered at strange intervals. He got distracted by the thought of her, and he must've looked quite dreamy for a second there, before he snapped back to reality, and realized that he should probably respond to Cylva. ".. Uh.. A-alright. Awesome. I've seen this one field by the school (insert more accurate description here), let's say we meet there an hour after school?"

(Painfully short T_T)

@AshenLily

".. Uh.. A-alright. Awesome. I've seen this one field by the school (insert more accurate description here), let's say we meet there an hour after school?"

An hour? Can I make it to town and back within an hour? I can't very well wear a turtle neck and jeans on a date... especially not my first one. Oh, well. I'll have to make it work. I can be quick. I can't try to reschedule, or he might get the wrong idea, and think I'm not interested. AM I interested? Gods, why is this so complicated? Cylva, forgetting Geno had even asked a question, released a deep, elongated sigh of frustration, directed at her own thoughts. And a first date, in a field? The picture painted in her mind wasn't the most romantic sight she'd ever seen, but after some adjustments, she was able to make it look quite nice. Maybe a picnic? That would be cute... her thoughts wandered farther, and farther from the conversation, as she imagined being swept off her feet, and carried away in some beautiful carriage. Hey. It could happen.

Completely lost in her thoughts, the minutes ticked by, Cylva deep in thought, busy fantasizing about how romantic the night would be. The couple's very first date. As it was, it didn't occur to her that she'd been staring into Geno's eyes the entire time she had been lost in her own thoughts, a positively stupid grin plastered onto her face. Suddenly, her fantasies ceased, as she realized she had, in fact, been staring into those eyes for approximately five minutes. "O-Oh. Hello. Umm... G-Geno." Oh, that's right. He'd asked her a question. "U-Uhh. W-Well." Ugh. What did he ask me again? Field? Something about a field. Picnic? Yes, that was it. A picnic. That's right! "A picnic sounds lovely!"

Not waiting for a response Cylva turned, and made her way over to the group forming around the two teachers.

"That's fine! Take your time! And if you don't make it back to the dining hall before lunch is over, we can just talk in History. It's not like Liam will notice, right?"

Mars watched as Lyra walked off, still feeling a small pit in his stomach. It probably wasn't a good time to mention that he actually preferred to stay quiet and pay attention in History unlike most students. Hopefully this feeling of regret was just a result of the confusion that had befallen him as a result of these abnormal heart palpitations and weren't an omen of what being in love felt like. He was supposed to be a completely logical person with no error available. That meant not reconsidering a choice he had made just because one person would be inconvenienced by the result. Maybe once he found out exactly what this was he'd be able to treat things like he normally did with only slight altercations. Still, there was a chance that Crysta wouldn't even help him. She was a teacher after all, and may not have time to help every student with their own personal issues.

"Nice one. You, my friend, are absolutely clueless. CLUELESS, I tell you. You need to get yourself a good dose of Seventeen magazine, because you obviously don't know the first thing about--you know what, never mind. You'll figure it out, I'm sure. . ."

Mars blinked at her, confused by her statement. What would he figure out? If she was referring to his own abnormality then yes, she was correct in saying he would figure it out. But how would she have noticed that? He felt he was doing a perfectly un-flawed job at keeping things relatively normal. Was there something else he was missing? Maybe he should pick himself up this magazine she mentioned later, use it for research into whatever he was apparently not getting. Shrugging, he decided to put that comment to the side and joined the rest of the group that had encircled both of the teachers.

~Professor Giovia Eriwind/Professor Xavier Caige~

The walk back to Hawthorne was seemingly uneventful, but with every step they took, Giovia seemed further and further on edge. The monsters that she had spotted had backed into their burrows or caves, some bounding away from the group as they approached. This wasn't exactly abnormal behavior, as most of the monsters were quite shy. . .but Giovia couldn't help but feel that they weren't running away from the group, but something else. Something bigger. Giovia could feel someone. . .or something watching her, yet whenever she looked over her shoulder or to the sides, she could only see Xavier's students and her own. Nothing that was really out of place. Giovia could only imagine how Crysta would be reacting if she were in the forest as well. She'd probably be unable to move, the malice in the atmosphere was so dense. Hopefully, none of the students would notice it as the chatted amongst themselves.

After what seemed like an eternity, the group approached the same patch of greenery where they had entered. Xavier easily pushed through it, as he had before, creating an opening for all of the students to walk through. Once he had counted everyone, he removed his hand from the curtain of vines and leaves, and the forest was once again sealed up. He lead everyone back to the gates, fished out his key, unlocked it, held it open while Giovia quickly shuffled everyone inside, and then closed it, dropping the key back into his pocket as he heard the lock click. He let out a sigh, checking his watch again. It was about three minutes until noon, so going back to class really had no point. He and Giovia exchanged looks, and then he said, "No homework tonight for either of our classes. Just rest up, heal if you were wounded. . .be expecting your grades tomorrow. If you were badly injured, and you feel like you need to visit the nurse, Giovia or I will write you a note."

~Lyra~

Lyra was silent for the entire walk back to Hawthorne, her thoughts going a mile a minute and her heart beating just as fast. Why did she feel like this all of a sudden? The girl felt like she was going to pass out or throw up. . .were the horns somehow poisonous, let a cobra's fangs? She doubted it, as Xavier probably would have mentioned something as important as that. She held her stomach, her face paling. . .the air felt dense, and she could hardly force any into her lungs. When she looked up, it felt like the canopy of the tree-tops were inching closer and closer, ready to smoosh her flat. She had to get out of there.

When both classes had made it out, Lyra suddenly felt much better (other than a bit of weakness in the knees, her shoulder, and her freshly cut knee). How come being in the forest just then had made her feel like she was going to
die? Well, maybe that was an exaggeration, but why did it make her feel so ill? Maybe it was some sort of strange Otherworld pollen, or perhaps her exhaustion from the battle. She shrugged it off as she was ushered through the gates and back into Hawthorne. She inhaled deeply, relieved to be back in a more familiar area. She listened to Xavier's final input, and decided she didn't need to visit the nurse, so she was off to the dining hall.

(THE FIRST COLLABORATION PROJECT IS OVER!)

(If your partner never showed up, that's alright! I'm going to make some adjustments!)

The steam of monsters recently-turned-crisp filled the air as Luke emerged from the shadow after a few moments of personal anger-

management. The whole process with having to take on people directly with your powers still ate him but could he do? It's not as if he has the power to change the opinion of an entire school for just him. But in the end, when you have a gift that literally allows you to swim through the dark like a cheetah on the savannah, it doesn't leave a lot for training to actually improve. Maybe if he could construct things with the dark, that would be helpful but that was unlikely since that wasn't on record for his power. If he wanted to sharpen his craft, practice it a bit more, learn about it, all he had to do was play Splinter Cell. Any of them, it didn't matter. They all involved stealth to some degree, all he had to do was play and learn. What am I on about? he thought to himself with a smirk playing on his lips, We can't play a game to learn more about our powers; Sam Fisher didn't have powers! After waking up to that realization that most of the class were leaving, he began to walk himself until the corpse of the deceased monsters grabbed his attention with a firm, resolute grip. Kneeling down beside the behemoth, he noticed a pool of blood beside the being. Almost instinctively, he dipped his hand into the puddle and smeared it's content all along his hands, making sure to dab it in fully. Luke knew this wasn't him doing it, but what could he do? When you have DID, these are some of the things you have to contend with. Maybe he was just using it as an impetus to do better next time, but Bell knew better then that. He did it simply because he liked the smell, the taste, blood in general. Pure, unadulterated savagery was what this personality intended for the animal, to brutalize, maul, decapitate, dismember, anything to make sure it suffered at his hand. And with Luke's range of power, being unable to do such a thing must have torn him up inside; he could feel it himself.

You're damn right that I wanted this thing murdered in all manner, all types of killing. But we couldn't do it because our power is at a very basic level. You're at a rudimentary level, where the only thing you can actually do with it is merge with the dark. You will evolve into the dark itself when we have moulded you into something that uses the shadows as a tool for chaos, at least in my otherwise bloodthirsty view.

He's right you know! In soon enough time, we'll be able to glide, hack 'n' slash through everything and everyone! It will be the greatest thing ever, we'll be the most powerful being at this entire school I tell you! Not a doubt in my mind will we be there! When you merge with something, naturally you should become that thing right?! Exactly, as he said a few moments ago, we'll become the darkness itself!

They tended to talk nonsense most of the time, but the thought of using this ability for something other then shade-sliding was a rather interesting topic to lay witness to. Also the fact that they said it with such conviction excited him yet instilled a sense of fear within the young Irishman's mind. We'll become the darkness itself! is what number one had uttered with utmost assurance that it frightened still the same. How they would 'evolve' his gift as they said, was completely beyond the bounds of his mind to comprehend, he left it as it is. It would surface in time whether or not they're statement was as bona fide as they had claimed it to be. We'll see in time, he mentally muttered as he gained control of his body once more, taking a bottle of water from his bag until he realized that something was written using the crimson liquid upon his hands. We'll be watching, was the message marked upon his bloodied hands as he went about washing it quickly so nobody would notice.

"There we go," he said to himself as his eyes returned to their typical, dark blue colour, "Come on, let's catch up to the rest of the class."

With that, he walked after the two erstwhile returning classes.

This was the most confusing individual he'd ever met. She didn't respond to his question. She just stood there staring at him, seemingly contemplating something. Waiting for a response, he got lost in thought. His thoughts went back to Lyra and Mars. There did seem to be something there, besides their neglection. He felt bad for John, as he might just have gotten an adversary for Lyra. He liked to consider John his friend too.. Talking about friends, what ever happened to that Shinji guy? He seemed cool. Geno would have to go look for him later. He felt a bit proud, knowing that he'd actually gotten a couple friends in this school. That's almost more than he'd ever had at one time before.

He snapped out of his thoughts, and realized he'd been staring at the girl, and she'd been staring at him, for a couple minutes now. Awkward. He looked at the group of students, and realized they were getting left behind. "O-Oh. Hello. Umm... G-Geno." What. Did she have some sort of disorder? Not even Geno's inability to remember names was so bad he forgot them in such a short span of time. "U-Uhh. W-Well." She took another pause, and then added; "A picnic sounds lovely!", and rushed away, leaving Geno a confused mess. He wasn't sure if he should laugh or be worried. He had no idea if that was a joke or not.

Was she taking this seriously at all? Eugh.. Oh well, he'd show up, and whether or not she did was to be seen. Wait.. Did he just hear something? Behind him.. He turned around, but there was nothing there. He hadn't ever really been paranoid, and he didn't feel frightened by the forest, but now that he was basicly alone in this clearing, he couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy. He was almost certain he'd heard something though, and he didn't feel like getting eaten by a monster much stronger than the last one, so he quickly ran after the other students.

Coming back to Hawthorne felt nice, it was something about the air, he guessed. Xavier (The name was finally beginning to stick!) said: "No homework tonight for either of our classes. Just rest up, heal if you were wounded. . .be expecting your grades tomorrow. If you were badly injured, and you feel like you need to visit the nurse, Giovia or I will write you a note." He probably would've asked for that note, but since Giovia had been nice enough to heal him, he didn't feel like it was necessary. He was a bit excited for his grades though, but not quite as excited as he was to go eat something. He just realized he hadn't eaten very much at all in the last few days. Food sounded amazing.

He rushed to the dining hall, and seemed to get there before most other students. He found himself a plate, and got it chock-full of food, he'd gotten a new found love for the spaghetti served here, and had meatballs to go with it, plus a little bit of almost everything else offered. Food is delicious. He then took a seat near a window. Just three days ago he'd sat around here, but at that time he didn't want company. Right now, he'd love it for some of his new peers to gather 'round.

@AshenLily

(I lack inspiration for Gwen ATM, so I'll just say she goes to eat food and do normal things until the next lesson. If you don't know what to do, you may say you approach her in the dining hall or whatever, feel free to narrate where she is.)

(Oi. No rest for the weary tonight...)

Maria Scarlette

"But I didn't even get to fight," Maria muttered. "I didn't even get to..."

Maria sighed. "It's no use complaining, I guess," She decided and continued along the path back to Hawthorne. Maria was starving, since she hadn't eaten since the night before and had eaten very little the day before, so she wanted to eat - But at the same time she didn't feel hungry. "Eh. I guess I can hold off for a while," Maria thought aloud and continued along - She didn't even remember where to get food, so whether she went out and got some didn't matter, really, since she would have to intentionally try to find food first.

Maria wondered where Solaira might be, and whether he might be interested in seeing her or not. Maybe he would be, maybe he wouldn't, she decided, but that was hardly an answer - She felt like going and finding him would be worth it, but what if he wasn't interested in her?

No, don't think of things that way, Maria thought. He's not...

Maria scratched the back of her head, her silvery hair flowing back and forth as she did so. Don't take things so seriously - It was a date. One date, nothing more. Maria stopped and laid down on a nearby bench, looking up at the clouds rather absentmindedly. Maybe all I need is time to relax... And to stop thinking so much.

~Rafaela~

Rafaela was starving, and she didn't even do anything. She blamed that Isaak, if he just stopped being a bitch about everything they might have done something. But, oh well, whatever. She had more important things to do right now, like eat. She ran towards the dining hall and, surprisingly, she didn't get lost. Maybe it's because it's the dining hall, there was food in there. Of course she wouldn't get lost. Tom flew right behind her, trying to catch up with a starving Rafaela. He was doing a rather good job, since that was a hard task. Raph came to a sudden stop, making the pigeon almost collapse against her.

"Oh, sorry. Tom, I don't think you should go in there." The pigeon tilted his head to the side, making a puppy look, but, well, on a pigeon. A pigeon look? Well, that was new. But it worked, since it made Rafaela change her mind in less than a second. "Fine. But you have to promise not to poop in there. Entendeu?" Tom cooed. Satisfied, the brunette entered the dining hall. She got a plate full of food. It had rice, beans, French fries, salad and corn, for Tom. When she was about to sit she noticed a boy sitting near the window. He seemed lonely. So, Rafaela being the good person that she was, went to sit with him.

"May I sit here?" She asked him. However, she dropped on the chair in front of him even before the boy had a chance to reply. "Awesome." Tom cooed loudly at her ear, making her wince in pain. Frowning, she fed him the corn, her features relaxing as she watched him eat. Rafaela turned her eyes to the boy, with a grin that went from ear to ear.

"Hi! I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but you seemed so lonely, and since I'm such a wonderful person, I came here to make you company. And since I'm new here, I still don't have any friends, you know. So I was feeling quite lonely as well. And I don't like being lonely." The pigeon did what seemed to be an eye roll, and slapped Raph's cheek with his wing. "Ouch! I know! I'm talking about human friends." The pigeon only turned his head away from her, which made the brunette roll her eyes. "Damn moody pigeon. Anyway, as I was saying." She threw a glare to the bird before turning her eyes to the boy once again. "I thought about making company to you while we eat!" Said that, Rafaela shoved a fork full of food into her mouth, chewing slowly as she appreciated the food. Damn, that felt like the best moment of her life. She could die happy now. Really happy.

Entendeu: understood

So Geno was just sitting there, minding his own business, eating delicious food, when suddenly out of nowhere this girl shows up. "May I sit here?" He didn't look up at the girl, so he had no idea of whether or not she was talking to him. He just waited for the 'Hey?' or awkward silence that usually comes up if you ignore someone who's talking to you. That didn't happen. "Awesome." The girl didn't seem to care about his opinion in the matter at all, and pulled up a chair. A loud 'Coo!' made him flinch, and he looked up at the girl. There was a pigeon on her shoulder, I shit you not. I mean, he had had a couple birds on him, but bringing a pigeon into a cafeteria? It's amazing it ain't flying around crapping on everything.

"Hi! I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but you seemed so lonely, and since I'm such a wonderful person, I came here to make you company. And since I'm new here, I still don't have any friends, you know. So I was feeling quite lonely as well. And I don't like being lonely." Geno felt uneasy to look her in the eyes. Apparently staring the awkward Cylva in the eyes earlier had taken all of his confidence regarding his eyes away. He avoided eye contact, and responded: "Woah there, let's take it easy with the self-proclaimations." He was about to continue, but out the corner of his eye he saw the pigeon smacking the girl in the facewith a wing, and it took all of his energy not to burst out in laughter.

"Ouch! I know! I'm talking about
human friends." Was she talking to the pigeon? Interesting girl. Wonder if it was related to her ability. He could really imagine her getting bullied in regular school due to this though. "Damn moody pigeon. Anyway, as I was saying; I thought about making company to you while we eat!" "Fair enough, company is always enjoyable." He reached his arm across the table, to shake hers if she wished to. "Name's Geno, and.." He felt like he needed to add something more after that, like a brief description of himself, but saying 'I'm rich' was a weird way to start a conversation. "Agh, nevermind. Either way, yeah, I'm Geno."

The girl seemed like she was fun though. High energy, and lots of enthusiasm. It made him happy. He liked people like that, and having them as friends was fun, according to his experiences.

"No homework tonight for either of our classes. Just rest up, heal if you were wounded. . .be expecting your grades tomorrow. If you were badly injured, and you feel like you need to visit the nurse, Giovia or I will write you a note."

Cylva was relieved to hear that they wouldn't be getting any homework. Though she didn't really have anything against it, that would ensure she had all the time she needed for her "date" with Geno later.

After getting out of class, she hurried to the restroom to evaluate the damage done to her leg. After less than an hour, it had already began darkening, covering the entire outer half of her leg, from her knee, up. And it hurt. Badly. The bruise was likely going to take quite some time to heal. In the interim, she'd just have to take it easy, and keep from doing anything too strenuous.

Suddenly realizing how hungry she was, she made her way to the dining hall, and upon arriving evaluated the different options they had for the day. Nothing looked appealing in the slightest, and frankly, Cylva wasn't quite hungry enough to endure another Fettuccine Alfredo experience, and decided she could wait. Besides, she had a picnic to attend later. It would be bad manners not to eat anything, right?

Turning to leave the dining hall, she observed Geno sitting off, looking rather lonely, until... another girl?! ALREADY? She'd planned on returning to her room, and writing in her journals about the eventful day thus far, but this seemed an equally pressing matter. Approaching the table near the window, she blurted out a single, awkward word. "Hi." The greeting in and of itself wasn't terribly awkward, it was mostly just the silence that followed, as she looked back and forth between the girl, the pigeon on her shoulder, and -- wait. Pigeon? What the hell? Annnnnnnd, she's talking to it. Lovely. She gave the girl a quick once-over. What's so special about her, anyway? Maybe he has a thing for birds...? Her imagination getting the better of her, Cylva assumed this girl was here to take her Geno from her. Okay, so he's not exactly mine, but we're PRACTICALLY a thing, already.

Anyone with insight into Cylva's thoughts would have likely reminded her that Geno never said anything anywhere remotely close to what she had discerned from their previous conversation, and likely hadn't even thought the word "picnic". (Details. Pfft. Who needs them?) She purposely took the seat directly next to Geno, without waiting to be invited to do so, figuring their pre-existing relationship was cause enough for her to sit, and promptly introduced herself to this new girl... and her bird. "Hello. My name's Cylvaara." She cut her usual introduction short, not inviting this girl to call her Cylva. That was reserved for friends, and this new girl wasn't a friend. She was competition.

(I can't tell you how anxious I am for this whole "date" thing later. xD Gaaaaaah. It's going to be fabulous!)

Sam Polaris turned round unexpectedly as the girl walked up to him. Emma Farris, he remembered her name now, this was who was supposed to be his partner.

"You sound scared"

"Uh, what, " Sam replied, cursing under his breath that she had noticed his apprehension, "Uh, no, I'm not scared, It ju-".

"Dont be. This is nothing. All you need to do is keep strong and think of the good that will come out of this."

Sam frowned for a second. That's a bit of a wierd thing to say, wasn't it. I suppose he wouldn't know, he though.

"Thanks, um, yeah I know, it's just I've never really done anything like this before, and, uh, yeah. Sorry I'm not making sense." Sam fought the growing urge to warp out of this somewhat awkward conversation, but fortunately before he could do anything a clear voice rang out.

"Attention all students! We are going back to Hawthorne now. You will receive you grades tomorrow. Some adjustments will be made to the groups, but not many. If your Nor'zlad just burst into flames, do not worry."

"Aww, " Sam Polaris moaned, giving a grimace, but inside he was elated. Phew, he had managed to procrastinate long enough to avoid fighting, although his partners absence was as much to blame as him, he supposed. The lesson had gone so fast, but then again, he had spent quite a while watching the other students fight. He smirked slightly, and then caught himself. "Such a shame we have to miss fighting our monster!"

He ambled back with the rest of the class. Teleportation was something he considered for a moment, and then decided against it, something important might be said, or maybe they would get homework. On second thought, maybe it wasn't such a bad id-

"No homework tonight for either of our classes. Just rest up, heal if you were wounded. . .be expecting your grades tomorrow. If you were badly injured, and you feel like you need to visit the nurse, Giovia or I will write you a note."

Oh, ok, no homework then. Sam hadn't noticed that they had arrived, but he had mostly been daydreaming.

After leaving class, Sam went quickly to his room and sat down on the bed. He was tired, but the day wasn't even close to ending. He read for a bit, a book one of his old friends wrote. To be entirely honest, it was pretty crap, but he had promised to read it, and Sam wasn't one for making empty promises, although threats were another matter entirely.

After a while, he realised dinner time was approaching and he walked slowly to the dining hall. Nothing particularly appetizing was available, so he just grabbed a sandwich and looked for somewhere to sit. He could of course just go eat elsewhere by himself, as he usually did, but he realised he had been procrastinating making friends for four days now, he should at least try.

"Hello. My name's Cylvaara."

Sam overheard the introduction coming from a nearby table. He guessed if he was going to go anywhere it had best be a place nobody else knew each other either, huh, so he apprehensively approached the table.

"Uh, hey there, " Sam said nervously, standing at the edge of the table, looking down at the three people sitting there, "My name is, um, Sam Polaris, I'm, uh, I do teleportation and stuff, uh, I guess. " Sam wanted to hit himself, he sounded like such a loser. "Do you mind if I, uh, you know, sit with you?"

~Lyra~

As Lyra entered the dining hall, she was slightly upset to see that her table (which had been silently deemed as the Student Council table), was empty. She brushed her bangs out of her face and quietly looked around. The girl was slightly tempted to just leave and have a stoic, badass, anime girl moment. . .but she hadn't had any breakfast, and whatever the school was serving smelled pretty good. She silently inched over to the lunch-line, and as usual, people offered to let her cut in front of them. She graciously accepted their offers, grabbed a plate of stir-fry, and make her way over to the empty table. She sat down in her chair, pulled a part her chopsticks (she could've gotten a fork, but she felt like showing off her amazing chopstick skills), and then fished her phone out of her bag. No new messages.

The President let out a sigh, and then scrolled along her contacts.

To: Mama the Drama Llama

Subject: Greetings from your gorgeous daughter!

Hey, mommy! Yes, I just called you mommy. How are you? How's dad? You got back home safely, right? Oh, and. . .WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ISAAK WAS COMING ONE SEMESTER EARLY?! Call me >.<

Message Sent.

Dropping her phone back into her bag, she knew that she had a good fifteen minutes before her mom responded. She was one of those people who didn't always have their phone with them. . .hopefully, Lyra would at least get a response before lunch was over. The girl picked up a piece of chicken between her chopsticks and popped it into her mouth, subtly glancing around to see if anyone was marveling at her amazing chopstick-ing.

They weren't.

Lyra sighed, and decided this would be a good time to do her history homework. She pulled out the sheet that Liam had given her and a fountain pen, and then started to fill in her answers.

Instructions: Answer each question the best you can. Be descriptive!

Name: Lyra Connerson

What you hope to learn in this class?: About. . .well, Otherworld History. I want to know how the Otherworld was first discovered by humans, the origins of ancient monsters, etc.

Why did you choose this class?: Meditation and Focus was full. . .and a bunch of my friends are taking it.

Do you have any previous knowledge of the Otherworld?: I know that it's weird. That's all.

Are there any emotional/physical/medical issues I should know about?: No! I am practically perfect in every way.

Lyra looked over her sheet. Most of her answers were pretty sarcastic and sassy. . .eh, Liam had a good sense of humor, right? She quickly tucked away the sheet into her bag and took another bite of her stir-fry.

Luke walked to the dining hall at a leisurely pace, noticing that the majority of his peers had indeed gone on ahead of him. To the dining hall no doubt, he thought as the hour for lunch had been initiated. But he wasn't hungry, he never usually was. He couldn't stop thinking about the exercise this morning, the bad grade that he was going to receive. But it was inevitable, there was not much he could do about the whole situation. You have to play to your strengths, and engaging in close-quarters combat in the middle of the day, was not one of them; he knew that for sure. When your gift is something that has no offensive capabilities, it leaves a lot to be desired. But nonetheless, the next class was Meditation and Focus. The Irishman didn't know how he was going to settle down for such a serene, calming lecture, but he sure as Hell hoped that he did. For one thing, he was happy for his classmates that they were indeed having a good time. Well, he hoped they were having a good time! Even if he didn't necessarily have a good one himself, the wish that other individuals had a happy one brightened him up to a certain extent. But for the most part, he felt estranged from the whole experience of this school. As if the taught powers in such a manner that they end up being superheroes of sorts. They probably didn't cater to the abilities that were on the other end of the morality spectrum, and his was far from iridescent.

So the decision was playing in his head, where would Luke Bell go next? He was from being famished, but far from eager to be going to a classroom so early. Hypocritically so, he was the first one to arrive at Basic Healing and Protection this very morning. However, his zealousness for another lesson were severely dented by the incident this morning. He felt like something different around here, like a David among Goliath's. Although far from matching the Philistines stature, he was from being the diminutive future king of a united Israel. But despite all this, he felt as if his time here was going to be a pointless one. Luke was quick to deduce things, effectively knowing this from the day before although he didn't want to say it out loud. Although this was a sappy understanding, maybe it's because he never should have came here. Maybe he missed the rest of what Hawthorne Academy actually meant; maybe it was, 'Hawthorne Academy for Supernatural Combat'. Would he have been surprised if that were the case, not one bit.

"You're thinking nonsense," he muttered to himself, taking a bottle of water from his gad, sipping it slowly, "Now, I might as well head...Dammit, I have no idea were to go! I feel like..I don't even know what to feel anymore. What am I going to do? I'm all alone here, I've got no one to depend on. Sometimes fate chooses certain people to stand out, but sometimes...it's not those who stand out that make the difference."

Indeed.

Truer words never spoken!

The Irishman retrieved the mask from his bag, holding it in his hands for a few moments. I'd never take you off if I had the choice. There's always someone behind a mask, but when you are the mask, what do they say then? Deciding it was better to sit down in a room then stand out here, he designated the classroom as his next location of refuge. After rummaging through the halls, he eventually found the room, picked a random seat an sat in it, closing his eyes.

(If anyone feel up to replying to this, thanks once again. I'd appreciate it, although you can simply ignore it if you want, I wouldn't mind either way. Cheers for reading!)

Mars had made his way out of the forest with the rest of the class without any issues and immediately headed towards where Crysta's class was located. Hopefully she would be there setting things up for next period so he could get her to figure out what this feeling in him was. He was still a little skeptical about how willing she would be, as out of all the staff in the school he probably knew the least about the meditation teacher. How much can you learn by sitting around all the time anyways? If his short trip took longer than expected and he couldn't make it to the cafeteria, he had one of his seemingly endless supply of sandwiches in his bag to eat, so saying he was unprepared would be a complete lie.

Upon reaching the Meditation and Focus classroom, he pulled a notebook out of his bag and held it against the wall outside so he could write on it. Should probably fill this out before I forget. Taking out a pen, he began to write in details on what he'd learned.

Combat

Cylva: New student, seems to have diamonds or something protruding from her skin. Has potential range capabilities judging by the way her collaboration monster looked, but according to her she doesn't have strong control over her powers. Style of fighting is likely close combat, therefore keep at distance. Little is known, may want to do research later.

Geno: Roommate, has control over some sort of irregular liquid metal. Very little is known besides the fact it likely comes from his body and that he can encase living beings in it.Will inquire about his powers back at the dorm.

Closing up his book and sliding it back into his bag, he knocked on the seemingly open door and spoke. "Professor Chime, are you in?" Doing a quick scan of the room, he noticed there was another boy in the room, someone new.
