Fantasy Hawthorne Academy

Leo shrugged a bit. "Only about a year or so, and only when I have a friend to play it with... I'm more in to things like Final Fantasy and Assassin's Creed, stuff like that..." She replied, smiling slightly. "I usually like things with a bit more story line than first person shooter games, but I still like to play CoD sometimes..." She shrugged again, then looked at Killua curiously. "What about you? What kinds of games do you like to play?"
"Im the same" Killua said, "I really like games like Shadow of the Colossus, Dark souls, but I also like games like Halo and stuff on occasion." Killua said happily. "Oh by the way are you in any clubs? Or no?" Killua asked curiously. As they walked Killua looked out the windows at the students in the massive courtyard, they were all huddled in there little groups of friends.

Emma blushed softly as he put the blindfold on her. Never did she let anyone touch her blindfold. Plus, she never really had contact with a boy other then talking. When he asked 'No Thank you?' she felt bad instantly but his next question surprised her "Emma." she says, lightly touching the blindfold where it covered her eyes "Emma Faris." she smiled slightly "Thank you..for helping me..I would have been stuck here all day unless someone stopped them."

They wanted to see her eyes. Just like when she was younger. They bullied her, trying to get her to open her eyes and everything. She faced him even though she couldnt see him, she knew where he was "Whats your name?" she asked

Walking onto school grounds, Soraphine looked up at the immensely huge building standing in front of her. She took of her headphones and gave out a low whistle.

"Fancy." She muttered and put her headphones back on, walking to the building's doors and pushing them open, revealing the clean hallways of Hawthorne Academy.

"Clean too." She said, looking around the halls.

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta lounged happily in the heap of pillows that was stacked on her floor, curling up slightly and closing her eyes. Of course, you couldn't see that they were closed underneath her blindfold...but they were. There was a small smile on her mouth...until she noticed it.

Aleksander was thinking about something...something...emotional for him.

Of course, Crysta immediately wanted to find out what this is...and even though she knew she shouldn't try, she did anyway. Very cautiously, she tried to tap into his thoughts.

It was going well, and then suddenly, there was a shooting pain throughout the Professor's entire body. She couldn't help but let out a small, pain filled cry as she curled up, both of her hands going to her head.

Her thoughts were scrambled and skipping over eachother, and she was unable to focus on anything...it was the worst feeling Crysta could ever feel...

Uncertainty.

As she pressed the palms of her hands to her temples, she gathered enough thought to mentally kick herself for even attempting to look into his thoughts again...and this hurt a lot worse than before.

~Nurse Elsa Longstorm~

Elsa rolled her eyes at the girl's words, and said, "Hey, you don't even know if was your brother for sure who gave me the tart. And didn't I just say that I don't like sweets? I don't care how they're made!"

Now in a bad mood, the nurse violently dipped a cottonball in rubbing alcohol and started to clean the girl's hand, making sure the get each and every knuckled thoroughly disinfected. After she was done, she tossed the bloody cottonball into the trash can and wrapped up the girl's hand.

"Sheesh, what did you do to yourself, anyway? Punch a tree?" the nurse asked jokingly, giving a small smile to the girl as she began to clean up all of her supplies. Unfortuantely, she found herself thinking about Kouji again. She narrowed her eyes, remembering his arrogance. Well, maybe he wasn't quite ARROGANT, but it was pretty apparent that he was expecting her to immediately fall head over heels for him.

Unlikely.

Nichole said"whatever thanks for the help. Hurt my brother and you'll deal with me. He's already been through enough. nurse longstorm." Nichole nearly slammed the door behind her. She stormed off in a furry of rage but tried to calm down for the sake of her sanity. Nichole said"just calm down nikki you'll be just fine as long as she doesnt hurt onnii-chan you'll be just fine." Nichole giggled and said"hmm lets see a good song alice human sacrifice is perfect for now!" She skipped down the hall her eye twitching as she sang the song. Her lips twitched into a creepy grin and she walked into her dorm to grab angel. Nichole sat in a tree and petted her stuffed bear her eye still twitching. Nichole held her tighter and laughed. She just laughed and said"just look at me. Giggle no one understands the way we feel do they angel? No one. Giggle except emma and onnii-chan. Onnii-chan always protected us. Oooh I hear the song again." Being quiet but there was no song playing. A small part of Nichole's sanity just died.

Aleksander sat down, helping himself to some tea, just thinking. Crysta wasn't talking so neither did he. Like his Mama said "Don't speak unless spoken to! Unless they're saying something really really interesting. Then speak because I want to know what it is!"

He chuckled as he remembered his Mama. I must miss my parents much more than I thought I would, I must call them soon. Aleks thought.

Suddenly Crysta flinched, letting out a soft cry and holding her head. Aleks leapt forward, concerned.

"Are you alright Professor? You look pale! Is it a main? I mean a migraine?" Aleks asked, looking worried. "Should I take you to the nurse's office?"

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta cringed again as he spoke, the spike in his emotions stabbing into her side like a knife. She couldn't find the strength to stand up and get out of the room, not could she gather her thoughts enough to remember how to tell him to get away from her.Of course, she'd be fine in a minute, but with him so close...she winced again. His aura was still attacking her, like it was punishing her for trying to invade Aleksander's thoughts. She cried out again, her fingernails clawing at her mask. Images...horrible images flashed in her mind. Not all of them were related to Aleksander, but his aura was pushing her...bringing back memories that she'd hidden away in her subconscious.

Why was it doing this to her?

She could vaguely sense that it wasn't malicious; it was simply protecting Aleks's thoughts from her. She was finally able to squeak out in a barely audible voice, "I'm s-sorry! Stop!"

But it didn't stop. Every emotion he felt stabbed into her, each painful memory invaded her mind like an angry insect...it was almost like his aura was saying,"You want to see his memories? His feelings? FINE!"

In the process of this real-life nightmare, Crysta had torn off her blindfold, tears streaming from her eyes, which were screwed shut as she sobbed. It was horrifying to see the normally calm and collected teacher such a mess...nothing could bother her, not even the physical cut of a knife. She wouldn't even flinch at that. It was even worse that Crysta was in so much pain, yet her physical condition was still unchanged. It was her spiritual condition that was plummeting.

"Aleksander, stop!" she managed again, her voice catching as she cried. She covered her eyes, but it didn't stop her from seeing the things she was seeing. "Tell it to stop! MAKE IT STOP!"

Soraphine was wandering aimlessly through the halls. This place was huge, so she easily got lost. The view from the hall's window never ceased to amaze her, so her getting lost was like a good thing.

From where she stood, she could see that she has entered the teachers' section of the school. How long has she been walking for? She doesn't have a watch on, so she could never tell.

As she was walking down the hall, she heard faint screaming coming from one of the rooms. She moved a bit more and the screamings stopped, so she thought she was hearing things. When she was about to leave, another scream came. Now she was sure she heard that. Frantically, she opened one door after the other, looking to find where the screams and shouts came from.

Exhausted from her first day, Emi plopped down on a nearby stump, her sketchpad in hand. Admiring the serene beauty of her new school, she noted the lines and angles of the school in the plane as it would appear on paper. She quickly began sketching the outline of the building, placing Windows and various intruding tree branches along the way, she was nearly done putting details into the bricks when she heard a faint scream.

She knew she had hardly talked to any of the students today, which was extremely odd even for her, but the events that had taken place were just crazy. Feeling as if she might possibly be needed now, she slipped her sketchbook away, and began to run in the direction of the screams, that she felt came from a room inside the school.

She then came upon another girl who seemed to be searching as well. "Whats going on here?"She asked with a glimmer of worry in her eye.

Veronica payed close attention to her duties as Vice-President, making sure everything was in order and intact. She went ahead and pulled out her large briefcase as Blake arrived and Lyra began talking. As veronica pressed the latches, two more shelves came out and held a laptop, two notebooks, and a binder holding all information needed. She handed off most of the note books to Blake and handed the finance book to Mars. As they were bickering she pulled her laptop to all of the plans she had for the future years and noted to the bickering boys, "Are you two going to act like children, or are you going to get things done? You, secretary, write." Veronica passed him a pen

"you, treasurer, help finance" Then she also handed him a pen for the finance book. "Alright I'll go ahead and pull up the many plans I had" As veronica started using her laptop she noticed a pain in her shoulder. She looked into her jacket, covering it up from the other to be able to see. Then looked on her shoulder. She then gasped.

It seems as if the curse had moved even farther from her shoulder down her arm. It was moving. And it seemed to be moving fast.

As Mars was about to spout out another comeback, he saw something out of the corner of his eye. Incoming projectile. Seems rather small, but maybe too fast to block. He brought his hand up in front of the pen, a little too slow. Darn it, a little too slow. The pen didn't hurt much, but he was disappointed he couldn't stop it. He listened as Lyra scolded the him and Blake. He was about done with the argument anyways, so he didn't have much of a problem stopping.

"Besides, both of you are idiots. Plain and simple."

Mars' eye twitched as this was said. Looking at her stance, it was obvious it would be better to just let things go and start working, the logical choice, but he wouldn't let someone insult his intelligence and pride like that! "Now hold on, there. Blake may be an idiot, but I think that I am as far from an idiot as can be! I'm pretty sure that-" He stopped suddenly when Veronica handed him his book and pen. Sighing, he took what was handed to him and stopped arguing. Well, I still didn't agree, so my pride is still somewhat intact. Of course, what he could do as treasurer was limited at the moment, so he would wait for some ideas to be thrown into the wild and go from there.

~Nurse Elsa Longstorm~

The nurse blinked as Lyra and Veronica walked out of the infirmary. Did she do something wrong? Lyra had looked so...sad that moment before they left. She glanced back at the boy who she had just had her hands all over and said with a sheepish smile, "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable...it's just you're SO handsome I--I'm not helping, am I? I won't do it again, 'kay?"

She then sat down again behind her desk, placing the files that she had been looking at back into her cabinet. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. It couldn't be a student, usually they just walked right it. Elsa looked up, and sighed. She smoothed out her coat, stood up, and walked across the small room and to the door. Opening it, she saw a young man standing there. He wasn't a student, she could tell that much by his attire...was he staff? He looked pretty young to be working at the school...of course, Elsa was only twenty-three, but after she had graduated from academy she didn't have anywhere else to go...Headmistress Weatherstone was kind enough to let her stay at the academy if she acted as Giovia's assistant. That was back when Giovia taught a class AND ran the infirmary, so she could really use the help. After two years, Elsa was given full charge of the infirmary so Giovia could focus on her class.

"Can I help you?" she asked, tucking a strand of her dark, chocolate brown hair behind an ear.

[/QUOTE]
Johnathon nodded as Veronica and Lyra both took their leave. In a sense, his body felt more relaxed now - less on edge. Really, the day had already been so odd, he didn't give much thought as to why; he had already wasted time doing that. A light something was burdening his forehead though, and he looked up to examine what his brow had attracted. Not surprisingly, it was just his hair. From the fall he experienced, most of it lay in one large clump, smack in-between the boy's eyes. With a small grumble John parted it, not improving his appearance much, his hair still as unruly as ever, but allowing his forehead 'breathing' space.

The nurse's voice sounded behind him, and with a slight turn, John looked to her. It was strange, but the last minute didn't bother him now. A blush was still tamely framed in his cheeks, he couldn't help it, but its cause was in the past, not the present. Elsa Longstorm's presence had worn off now, she didn't bug John anymore.

"Yeah, sure," John replied to the nurse's words, his hands immediately thrust into his pockets. "M-My reaction may have been uncalled for, so . . . well, don't take it personally." A hand ruffling his hair some more, he made way to depart from the infirmary without even inquiring about the 'contagiousness' of his condition. All said and done, John knew neither he, or the nurse, cared. The professor (Liam was his name?) obviously had a thing against germs. Heh, John chuckled inwardly, a smoke in his class might be worth trying. Before he could go though, the nurse had called to him one last time, and presented him with a rose. It became apparent to Johnathon she flirted with the staff too, although this one she didn't seemingly take interest in. Hence the rose?

"Give it to your girlfriend."

How snarky, John thought, sneering a little himself, though presently he smirked too. His mock salute to the nurse was evidence enough the little stab was appreciated. However, if he was actually going to give the rose to Lyra, that would be an entirely different story . . .

~~

Outside of the infirmary, outside on campus, John stopped by the school's front gates. He literally had been standing exactly where he did now not 7 hours ago. If you could make such a claim first day of school, he would have said it was "Nostalgic." Free time was now. A little hopelessly, Johnathon glanced down at his History assignment and Basic Protection Evaluation. Truly, there wasn't much for him to do. Could he really sit around for several hours? Well, returning to his dorm was an option, but whether or not his room mate was there he didn't know, and if he actually wanted to meet the guy he wasn't sure of either. "Perhaps . . . some quiet," he said to himself, though out loud.

Procuring a map of the school grounds from within his vest, John's silver eyes briefly scanned it. An eyebrow was raised at the large campus grounds, not to mention the numerous buildings. If he really wanted to start from one end of campus to the other, now was prime to begin. He would need the time in order to accomplish such a tedious goal.

The music room had also caught his eye. Piano is what he instantly thought. Quiet, relaxation, and a break from his thoughts - all these could be found in the angelic instrument. What a prized possession and skill playing the piano was to Johnathon; he could never part with it. Perhaps some of his few charming childhood memories revolved around time spent bent over the ivory black and white keys. Most certainly the music room would also speak of nostalgia. Without much else thought, John began to study the map's directions to the music room.

Soraphine looked at the girl and back to the last door that she hasn't opened yet. Yes, now she was certain this where the shouting came from. She looked back at the girl, eyeing her appearance. She was shorter than her, short brown hair, and eyes a beautiful emerald green.

"I have no idea.. I just got here." Soraphine told her, fidgetting with her hands. Her shyness and awkwardness getting the better of her yet again. "I- Uhm.. Should we open the door..?" She asked her, her voice falling into a whisper.

What's Going On #6

(Pages 39-52)

Hey there! Lyra here bringing you your next school update! Sorry that it's been a while, but I've been busy...ya know, going to the infirmary...student council meeting (I actually snuck out while Veronica was talking so I could make this update; hope she won't notice!)

You get it!

Anyway, here you go!

~Lyra~

Lyra raised her eyes at Veronica as she pulled out the briefcase, and she mentally slapped herself.

Why didn't I think of that? Geez, she's more prepared than I am!

Lyra had begun to sift through her hand-written papers, about to go over with Mars what social gatherings she wanted to do. She looked down the list, and then nodded, "So as you probably know, the Student Council is funding the student party tonight...Mars, I have a list of what we had to pay for. The school was kind enough to let us use the gymnasium for free, but the food and decorations are coming out of the fund...I assume you made a list of the money we spent and what we spent it on? Can I see it?"

That's when she noticed Veronica's troubled expression. Oh no. It was that same look she had earlier...maybe she was feeling sick again?
Lyra tilted her head, setting down her papers and asking, "You okay, there, Veronica? You look a little pale..."

Well, the girl looked pale all of the time. But she looked almost...paper white...

"I take that back, you look REALLY pale." Lyra said, putting her hands over one of Veronica's. The girl immediately flinched back at she touched her best friend...what had just happened? Looking down at her own hands, and then looking back up at Veronica, Lyra was thoroughly confused. She almost felt like something had shoved her way...something very bad.

"What the..." she muttered.

Aleksander was bewildered. What should I do? What should I do!? He thought frantically. Suddenly his mind click when she asked him to make it stop.

It has to be something with Aura's. Is mine too strong? Is ours conflicting? He thought. Not sure what it was but he sprang away from her. While in her class, he had been reading a book that was there about meditation. Seeing this as his only option, he quickly sat down and meditated. It began to calm him down and hopefully it would stop whatever was attacking Crysta.

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta shook for a few more minutes, calming more and more with each breath. As he meditated, his aura was drawn back towards him Her face was wet with tears, and her voice caught every now and then, but she was able to clear her mind enough to sort of process what was going on. The pain had stopped, other than the occasional flicker of a headache. A hand went to her closed eye, and she realized that her blindfold had been flung off during the episode. She sighed, and started to feel around for it.

How embarrassing.

"Aleksander, I am so sorry. I shouldn't have done that." she said, her voice regaining its calm tone (even though it had a slight quiver to it). "I should have learned the first time I--oh, your aura gave me a warning...but I didn't listen."

Letting out a sigh of frustration, Crysta still couldn't find her blindfold.

"The first time I met you it warned me not to get too close...it was gracious enough to do that." she grumbled. "And I didn't listen. This is my fault."

Her thoughts still too fuzzy to make out a clear picture of her surroundings, she let out a groan and said, "Where's my blindfold?"

Shinji found it amusing, watching the girl reacting timidly, reminding him of a certain girl,"Emma huh?" Shinji thought, the name sounding familiar but he couldn't quite remember where he heard it,"There are a lot of girls named Emma." Shinji sarcastically thought to himself, looking back down at the girl. The smile she gave was cute, almost made Shinji want to hug her but she wasn't Calista so he maintain himself from doing anything random.

Now it was her turn to ask questions,"Shinji Aramaki. Nice to meet you Emma." Shinji said trying not to say anything rude or sarcastic since he usually do these out of habit. Judging from how well she was able to sense him, she must have been blind her whole life, her senses now must be super accurate to the point where even the slightest movement, she would call out to it in seconds.

-----------------

Calista had mostly spent her time chatting away with Kuro, being reminded of the old times and catching up on things but there was something off about Kuro, as if he was hiding something in his words. Calista had asked this question before but this time she asked how they were in Japan again, Kuro avoiding the question again and continued to talk about the past instead. Calista couldn't tell why he was doing this but she knew that something went up in Japan, Calista getting up and stared at Kuro,"Kuro, what happened?" Calista asked, her tone stern, demanding answers.

Kuro only stared at her and frown, slowly glancing away from Calista's eyes,"Kuro! Answer me. I know you well enough to know you're hiding something. What are you hiding?" Calista said but only to be in complete silence, Kuro still not speaking anymore. After a while in silence, Kuro snatched the red collar from Calista's grasps and placed it back on, turning back to his old form, he dashed out of the bush and into the building, leaving Calista all alone,"Kuro!" Calista cried out but it was too late, Kuro got away.

Sitting there for a bit, Calista took her time before getting out of the bushes as well, dusting herself off, and walking off back into the building where she would spend her time being pounded with questions after questions on what had happened in the past when the two boys were away in Japan. Calista knew something went wrong, Shinji's mood had changed and he seemed more distant, along with Kuro. They still came to her when they needed her but they never told her anything else,"What happened to us?" Calista thought, her heart ached with pain and loneliness.

~Headmistress Kinya Weatherstone~

The Headmistress smiled to herself as she heard Xavier's promise. Shaking her head, she muttered under her breath, "It'll take a lot more than that to trick me into falling for you again, idiot."

She'd always thought he was sort of dense...he never really got the message when they were in school...but she couldn't help but smile. He hadn't changed at all in the time that they'd been a part.

As she walked down the hallway, she saw a group of three kids running down the halls and away from an obviously upset girl. They had terrified expressions on her face, probably because she boy standing with the girl had scared them off.

She sighed, and both of her arms snapped out. Catching the two boys by their shirts, they both let out a gasp. The girl screeched to a stop right in front of Kinya. The Headmistress raised an eyebrow and asked, "What's going on here?"

The teens didn't say anything. They didn't have to. Kinya knew they were guilty of something...those faces! They looked so familiar--she knew.

"You don't think I remember you, eh? Think back to last year...dragon eggs. Very funny. Now give me one good reason for not sending to to Vasilisa right now for harassing that poor girl?" Kinya said menacingly. "You know she can be a bit..."

The Headmistress jerked both of the boys forwards and finished, "...unpredictable..."

Kinya sighed, realizing it wasn't worth it. The girl seemed fine now, and she'd already punished the pranksters nine million times for what had done.

When she let go and stepped aside, the three were gone in an instant. She walked towards the girl, about to ask her if she was alright, when she glanced at the boy...he was wearing a mask, much like her own.

"Is everything alright over here?" she asked.

Emma nodded towards 'Emma huh?' when she heard his name, her smile grew "It's nice to meet you too, Shinji." he seemed like a nice guy towards her, but it made her wonder what he was like without being near her. "Well, Shinji..Do you want to hang out with me? Since I lost my friends to..somewhere and I cant exactly look for them with my blindfold on.."

Plus Emma wanted a new friend "And I dont know where i'd be going half of the time."

When Soraphine didn't hear anymore shouting, she let go of the doorknob, which she unconsciously held on to. "Well, looks like whatever it was, stopped." She told the girl infront of her. "Well, it was nice meeting you.." Soraphine told her, running to wherever her feet took her.

"Oh God that was embarrasing.." Sora muttered to herself, remembering how awkward and shy she acted towards the girl. "I don't even know her name!" She inwardly groaned.

Aleksander gave a faint smile.

"It's alright. I'm just glad you're alright." He replied. "Although I don't think I quite understand how my aura can be talking to you, let alone warning you. Is it like a...guardian angel?"

Aleksander can be good at hiding his confusion but he was thoroughly confused. He perked up when she asked where her blindfold was. Quickly scanning the room, he couldn't fine it. So like the gentleman that he was, he gave her the 'blindfold' he had used when he first met her.

"Here Professor, this is clean and good quality cloth. My Mama made this for me to use as a headband or something else I could think of."

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Taking the piece of cloth from Aleksander and tying it carefully over her eyes, she relaxed slightly. She smiled at his question and said, "A bit. An aura is the manifestation of one's spiritual power...people with special abilities, like you and your fellow students, usually have much stronger auras due to their powers...normal humans have them as well, but they aren't as strong."

Leaning back into the pile of pillows again she sighed.

"In a way, auras act like their host." she smiled. "You have a very defensive ability, and you are just a natural-born protector...therefore, when I tried to sense what you were feeling, your aura took it as a threat and attacked me spiritually...of course, I'm alright now, and as I said before, it's my fault completely. I apologize."

She raked her finger through her bangs, pushing them back onto her head as she sighed.

"Just by feeling what happened, I can understand that..."

Crysta trailed off, hugging her arms and thinking for a moment. She turned her head back towards Aleks and smiled, "...you just want to protect the people around you...and your aura wants to protect you while you do that."

Aleksander nodded.

"I guess my aura isn't as friendly as I am." He joked, laughing. Aleksander thought for moment as things began to calm down. It was good to know he had someone or rather, something protecting him but one thing came to mind that bothered him.

"Professor, how could my aura attack you so brutally. Is it that strong? Surely not enough to suppress a well-known person such as yourself."

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta let out a light sigh, and said, "Auras can't be friendly. They are either good or bad. Your aura is good...definitely good. It's just...not very fond of me trying to pry into your private business."

She laughed sheepishly and found the strength to stand up. She had to reach her hands out in front of her to feel her way across the room since her head with still aching too much to even think about creating the image of the room. She managed to get over to the tea stove. It always seemed like she had hot water on the stove.

Too bad she missed the cup completely.

She paused, and slowly set down the kettle.

"I didn't really want any tea anyway." she smiled, turning back to him. "And Aleks, your aura is very strong. I knew that from the moment I saw you..."

She managed to walk back over to Aleksander, only stubbing her toe once on the way. She smiled, and wanted to wrap him up in a hug...but she didn't dare touch him.

"You have a great power...and if your aura could do that to me Spiritually, imagine what YOU can do physically."

Soraphine continued walking down the hallway, not bothering to look up since she was fidgeting with her fingers still. She stopped and looked out the window, and let out a sigh. "How big is this school? I feel like I've been walking around for the whole day." She groaned.

The scenery outside the window was still the same, picturesque, yet repetitive. "Everything around me still looks the same, like I haven't been walking at all." She muttered to herself. Yet, she continued on.

After what felt like an eternity, Sora stumbled upon a door that was slightly cracked open. The crept closer and peered into what she thought was heaven— the music room. She walked in and closed the door behind her, looking around the room. Every instrument you could imagine was in here, but her eyes were fixated on one instrument only, the guitar.

She walked closer, running her fingers over the strings, creating the most beautiful sound Sora has ever heard. She picked up the guitar and walked over to the open window, sitting down on a nearby chair, guitar in one hand and fingers that were ready to let out the cries of her soul and the screams of her emotion.

She started strumming, playing a tune that was both filled with sadness, yet the joys of being alone, filling the music room with the sound of nothing but the guitar.
