Fantasy Hawthorne Academy

Getting a closer look at the teacher, she could easily deduce that it was her who screamed. The way her silky black hair clung to her face which had a glimmer of sweat was a tale tale sign alright, not to mention her pale skin.

Without another thought, she softly touched the teachers arm, steadying her and feeling through her system at the same time. She exerted a ton of energy, an attack... she sent healing energy to the area of distress and seeing the color return to her face, she dropped her arm.

"Now everything is okay," she smiled warmly at the teacher, a comforting look in her eyes. "So what class is this? I'm not quite sure that I'm enrolled in here."

Realizing the guy that was also in here, she looked and seen his face, her eyes widening in surprise. He was surprisingly good looking. "I'm Emily, but you can call me Emi, and you are?" She said recovering from the shock.
~Professor Xavier Caige~

Xavier's eyebrow raised as the boy said something in a language that definitely not English. Giving a frustrated sigh, the Professor said, "I'm sorry, I don't speak French."

Xavier was dead serious. He was about as clueless about languages as he was everything else - he divided languages into two groups; English and everything else. Crossing his arms, he began wandering in a random direction. Of course, he was pretending he knew what he was doing and just prayed that he'd by some miracle stumble upon the music room.

Suddenly, Xavier felt a light tap on his shoulder and a very high voice.

"Excuse me, but might either of you be interested in sparring with me? If you're busy or you would rather not, I understand."

Turning around, he saw a girl...she looked way to young to be attending the school, let alone asking The Professor of Basic Combat 101 if he wanted to spar. He blinked at the small girl, and raised an eyebrow. He couldn't even imagine this girl being able to LIFT a weapon, let alone use one...he scratched the back of his head and glanced back at Johnathon.

"Erm..." he murmured. "Sweetheart, I hate to be blunt, but I'd probably break you in half in a matter of seconds..."

Glancing at Johnathon, he snorted again.

"And this guy here..." he began, sticking his thumb out towards the guy. "...needs to get to the...um..."

Xavier had forgotten where they were going again. He paused for a moment, and then finally said, "ART--no, MUSIC room!"

Looking back at the girl, he once again sucked in his cheeks. Ugh, why did he have to be such a good person?

"Um...if you want to tag along with us you can, and I'll spar with you after we drop of the Chimney here." Xavier offered, giving a slight smile at the girl.
"French," Johnathon coughed. "Polish." Throughout his personal experiences, Johnathon was firm in the understanding that anyone could pick up what country he was from just from his accent. Though, apparently, some people experienced difficulty in the ethnic field . . . and directional field. John still half wondered why Xavier was tagging along with him, and nearly found himself chuckling as the teacher aimlessly, with attempted purpose, searched for the elusive music room. "According to this map," he called ahead to Xavier, who at this point was several feet in front of him, "I am fairly certain this building DOES NOT house our room!" He had wanted to add, 'Always trust printed documents of authenticity!' but thought better of it. To be honest, this 'authentic' document, map rather, wasn't giving him much hope to begin with. An aerial view of the school was tedious to decode from the ground.

When another student came into sight, Johnathon's head was busily clouded in smoke and map protruding thoughts. Once the student began to speak, after a moment's consideration he lifted his head to see.

"Sweetheart, I hate to be blunt, but I'd probably break you in half in a matter of seconds..."

With mild surprise, John thought, Geez, that really was blunt. Then for the first time he wondered, Who is this guy? Up until the present point, he had taken the notion for granted that Xavier was a student. If he was, he'd certainly have to be in Basic Combat to make such a claim. "Don't believe everything he says," John unexpectedly put in, his words slightly mumbled due to the cigarette in his mouth. Sarcasm was intended, but as he said the words, Johnathon also realized their own truth. He smirked and winked at the female student before heaving a sigh, as the professor seemed to forget where they were off to again. Then he referred to him as a 'chimney', and although it didn't bother John, he found the comment arrogant. Lips pursed slightly, gaze piercing, he shot Xavier a brief glare.

Now it was the student's, the girl's, turn to respond. As she spoke, Johnathon smiled coyly at her out of habit. Her information proved to be extremely useful however, and just was he needed! "Thanks," he responded, placing a hand to his forehead in mock-salute fashion. Quite suddenly, his cigarette dangled from the loose hold of his jaw as he remembered the girl. "Hey, you're that girl who fell in the hall on the way to lunch, right?"

(laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame post. Sorry, I'm very tired right now.)

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta let out a small sigh as the girl touched her. She could feel her headache fade, making the images in the room nearly as clear as she would normally see them. Still, even with the girl's healing, she was still mentally unbalanced...though she did feel much better.

"Thank you, Emily." the teacher smiled, now going to to fix herself and her two guests some tea. She didn't bother to clean up the water she had spilled before...well, not right now anyway.

She took out a small tray from one the the cabinets containing some of the items of her extensive tea-set collection. As she quickly set up three cups (and their matching saucers) onto the tray, she just as quickly poured some of the hot water into them. Steeping the teabags for only a minute, she began to mix in sugar and milk where it was needed. Picking up the tray, she walked back over to the two and said, "Oh, this is Xavimerely my office. That door right there connects to my classroom...and no, I do not believe you are one of my students..."

After handing each of the students' tea to them, Crysta sat on the floor with hers, crossing her legs. This girl had a strong aura as well...but since her ability was obviously healing, the more she tried to sense how the girl was feeling, the better she felt spiritually.

Giggling, the Professor found herself saying, "Darling, you have a lovely aura!"

~Professor Xavier Caige~

Xavier cringed as the boy talked about him so nonchalantly.

"Don't believe everything he says."

The more and more this guy spoke, the more and more Xavier regretted even trying to be a good Professor. He totally knew where he was going...it's just that boy wasn't...um...

Well, whatever reason they weren't there yet, it was probably that boy's fault!

"I'll have you know that--"

"I think the Student Council meets over there, the music room's over there, and the arts club meets... There."

Xavier was cut off by the girl giving the boy directions to the music room. Xavier was really annoyed now, and said, "I knew that! I really did! I was taking you there now....uh...but you said you didn't want to wear out your shoes! I have a trick for remembering it, you see...Mars is in the student council...so is Lyra...who used to be in the Music club...who never shut up about her drama club...and she wanted to hold her meetings in the room next to the music room...which was my old office! THEREFORE THE MUSIC ROOM IS NEXT TO MY OLD OFFICE!"

Xavier, you've done it again. You deserve a well earned dose of...huh, I wonder if Vasilisa will give me some Vodka?

Looking at the girl again he let out a very immature, "HA!"

Clearing his throat again, he muttered, "I mean, thank you for expressing your concern. If you are looking for where the Sparring and Athletics what-ever-it-is club meets, it's right next to my classroom. You were there this afternoon--instead of going inside my room, continue to the door that's at the end of the hall. It'll lead you outside, but there's a sidewalk leading straight to the training area."

~Lyra~

Lyra's mind was temporarily taken off of the drunken Russian (heh, that almost rhymes) in the corner by Mars's compliment. She gave a very deep bow and said, "It is a great idea, isn't it? Veronica, what do you--oh, wait...Veronica, is it's too...um..."

Lyra had almost forgotten how against these sort of things her friend was, even if it was for a good cause...so the girl was extremely shocked to hear;
"Uhm...yes... and auction. That sounds nice."

Lyra immediately swooped in towards her friend, putting a hand on her forehead and saying, "Alright, we need to get you to the nurse. Veronica, can you hear my voice? How many fingers am I holding up?!"

Realizing she was acting sort of ridiculous, Lyra backed off and bowed her head. Glancing up at Veronica, she simply told herself that the girl was probably just going along with it for the sake of the Student Council...that had to be it. If it weren't for the money they'd be drawing in, Veronica would be on the table, protesting.

Yeah, that had to be it.

"Of course, we would need to find willing participants to be on sale, which shouldn't be too hard. We have two already, so maybe two, three more?"

Lyra looked up at Mars, and immediately, two other girls popped into her head.

"Calista and Leona!" she grinned. "They're so cute that there is no WAY that people won't bid on them!"

She could almost see it...dressing up Calista, Leona...AND Veronica...all in Lolita costumes...the though of it was almost to much for Lyra, as she had another one of her moments. She quickly snapped out of it, processing what Mars had said.

"...we have two already..."

"You don't mean...Mars, don't I have to run the thing?" she asked, blinking at him in surprise. "You know, call out bids and stuff? Who will do that if I'm being...sold?"

Translation:
Nobody will bid on me, and if you and Blake try to use some money to get people going, you'll just be wasting the student council's funds.

This professor was incredible - Everything she could possibly ask for. Flawless logic, childish, acts mature sometimes... Maria giggled a little. "Something tells me sparring with you is going to be fun," Maria smiled. "And as for you-" She turned to John - "I think you did. I thought I recognized you from somewhere, but I couldn't quite be sure." Noticing that her arm was getting a bit tired, Maria hung her whip around her wrist like a bracelet. The whip appeared to be much shorter than it truly was when it was wound like this. It seemed fitting that the whip appeared short, however, since she was rather small herself.

Staring at the whip got her thinking... "Just out of curiosity, Professor - Your weapon of choice... What is it? You must have mastered a number of weapons, or at least practiced with some, but you must have chosen a favourite at this point, correct me if I'm wrong."

Geno glanced at the girl who decided to play along. He chuckled quietly to himself and thought "What a subtile way of interacting with someone.." But he didn't stop. He finished the song and put the violin back down, and returned to the poor abandoned guitar, and sat down on a chair with it in his lap. He started strumming (One quick random search later...) Crooked minds on it, and said "... How long've you been playing?"

(Soz for the short post, I'm tired..)

Sora looked at the boy, who stopped playing the violin, causing her to stop playing as well. He picked up the guitar he abandoned and sat back down. Now he was playing an unfamiliar tune, although she liked it, and tried copying the chords and strummed along. He asked her a question to which she replied, "Ever since I could pick up the guitar." She said with a smile. "Although I put effort into practicing when I was about.. Seven I think." She added.

She smiled at the boy and continued playing, strumming away on the guitar. "What about you? You seem fairly gifted with instruments." She asked the boy, her smile never disappearing.

Blake kept still when Veronica told them it was a cold and her nerves being shot. Obviously she was full of bullshit as this did not look like a cold and Veronica was almost never nervous. However Blake didn't press it as she clearly didn’t want to talk about it. When she changed the subject to the idea of a tea party Blake shrugged, he wasn't a fan of parties, though at least this one would be at least better than dances or regular parties as there would be tea there. Blake loved tea, it was soothing and it brought out the few fond memories he had, which were sitting on the porch with his grandfather and reading a book while sipping tea. His grandfather made the best tea, it wasn't to bitter or sweet, just perfect, and it had a bit of sharpness to it that invigorated Blake. Shaking himself out of his stupor Blake nodded, the tea party was way better than some dance.

Lyra’s idea for an auction practically 'selling' girls was something he did not expect to be confronted with. To Blake that was an awful idea as hated woman and people getting used like that. Granted they were volunteering but still...

"I think you mean a charity date auction Lyra," Blake corrected. "And I don't think exploiting women like that would be up to our school standards." But of course this fell on deaf ears.

For once Blake agreed with Veronica on the whole objectifying women thing, though he gave her a look when she said it was a nice idea.

She must be sicker than I thought, so much for the school’s hardcore feminist.

When Vasilsa came in in her usual drunken state Blake rolled his eye. Blake despised the woman, okay maybe that was a strong word but overall he didn't like her. Her reliance on alcohol made him sick and just watching the women stumble about gave him a headache plus the reek of booze that followed her around didn’t help with that. Sure she was powerful and experienced, but that didn't mean Blake had to like her. Giving Valisa a steely gaze he turned back to the others, out of all these things if it was up to him he'd probably go with the tea party but it looked like they were going with the charity auction. Although he wasn't keen on this he'd just play along, but hearing Lyra talk about selling herself for the auction had him go rigid for a few seconds, again he hated the idea but they did need the funds.

"As much as I don't like this charity date auction, we need all the girls we can get, Mars and I can run this, it won't be that hard and after all you’d probably go for a high bid anyway.”

Realizing what he said Blake mentally face palmed way to indirectly compliment her not that he didn’t mean it for her bubbly charm would surely get a great deal of bids but the way he said it was not subtle what so ever.

(sorry for the long post ^-^')

"Since seven... Well, you ought to be better than me at guitar then.." He said, still creating a bit of background music with the guitar. "Me? Oh man. Let's see... I started playing violin and piano when I was 3-4 years old, and had a teacher for both assigned to me. I got taught in several wind instruments 7-10, and I learned guitar and drums on my own when I was 13, when I started getting tired of all the classical, formal, boring music they forced me to play..." His strumming slowed down and eventually stopped as he got lost in thought. He realized he had phazed out, and shook his head to clear his thoughts. "I should give you some background on that, I'm from one of those fancy rich families." There was a clear tone of disgust at fancy rich families, but he hoped his facial expression would show how uninterested he was in sticking to the subject.

"Either way, name a song. If you're as good as you seem, we might as well do something fun." He stood up and looked around. "And then name an instrument, I'll accompany you.

Fancy rich family huh? She thought to herself. 'Must be hard then.' She thought for a good thirty seconds, and finally an idea popped in her head. She put the down acoustic guitar, and walked over to the electric guitar that was near the piano. She picked it up and jacked it in, turning on the amp in the process.

"Get to the drums. You know the song 'Tnx Fr The Mmrs' by Fall Out Boy?" She asked and started strumming the chorus of the song, almost getting lost in the music.

"I've heard it." He had only started walking before she started on the chorus. "Oh wow, I thought it was an entirely different song. I know this one too, though." He sat down and joined in at the start of a verse. (Posting this pains me, but I'm running out of material to work with without conjuring up some bullshit about drumming. Let's wait for Johnathon.)

"Is everything alright over here?"

Turning his head towards the woman, Shinji could already tell who the person was and smirked because his mask, his eyes expressionless as hers. The woman that stood there was the Headmistress herself, her pale skin that matched her elderly hair and her dead-like eyes made Shinji feel a sense of respect for her but she was a short which made Shinji also look down at her at times but he knew not to mess with her,"Everything is fine here Miss Weatherstone. I have already had taken control of the problem." Shinji said, keeping his head high but not too high to make Weatherstone feel she is being looked down upon.

The two both wore a mask, their mask made for a reason. Weatherstone had hers for breathing purposes but Shinji had a different reason, a reason unknown and kept to himself only,"I got nothing to do so I can chill a bit with you Emma." Shinji said to Emma and then turned back to the masked woman,"I see you taught those kids something." Shinji said jokingly now, noticing that the scene.

Calista had been left alone by herself, walking around the hallways with her head in the cloud. She was not really in the mood to chat at the moment, the atmosphere around her gloomy and sad. She was like a cloud of rain ready to burst into thunder over her stupid depression. Shaking her head and patting her cheeks,"This is no time to be depressed!" Calista said to no one in particular, mostly to herself,"I should be happy not sad. Okay, time to be happy." Calista said, cheering herself up. With that said, she ran off back to find maybe Aleksander or try and see if maybe the meeting was over so she could say hi to Veronica and maybe the whole council.

-------------------------------

Kuro hid behind a trash can, Calista running past him and with a sigh of relief. Kuro was not in the mood now to chat with her anymore, coming out from behind the trashcan when the coast was clear. He really did wanted to be with Calista but if she was to ask him that same question again, he would have to shut himself away from her. Staring at the place where he last saw Calista, he walked back outside where he spent his time taking a little snooze, hoping it would lighten up his mood.

About to rest on a tree, he suddenly heard singing and out of instinct, hid in a bush. Watching as a girl with a teddy bear singing and giggling like some mad woman who had lost all sanity. Kuro was quite scared of the situation he was in but then he eavesdropped on her conversation with whoever she was talking to, the bear of all things. Listening in on her, Kuro decided it was best to leave the poor girl be, not wanting to get into her mess.

Kuro wasn't quite sure what her problem was but it seemed to have to do with friends and her brother, Kuro continuing to keep his presence hidden for his own safety and wait till the girl moved and leave so he could finally finish his nap in peace.

Nichole said"angel I think someone is watching us. D-do you think im crazy? No giggle I'm not crazy. I dont get crazy. Right angel? I just need to smile. Thats all j-just smile." Nichole grinned creepily and laughed. Water surrounded her and it froze over freezing the tree and started to go to the grass.

Kouji felt a disturbance with his sister. He ran out and bit his lip seeing her in the tree. Kouji immediately noticed the ice and cursed. "Damn.imuto its kouji calm down!" Walking up to her. Nichole's eyes were dull as she looked at him. "Onnii-chan what are you doing in my dream?" Tilting her head. kouji facepalmed and wondered who pissed her off this time. He went to pick her up but got scratched by the ice. "Ouch! Imuto watch it!" He said growling a bit. But that made the situation worse.

~Professor Xavier Caige~

Looking at the girl as she asked him his weapon preference, he paused for a moment. He was skilled in all weapons, it was true...he'd always had a knack for melee...but what was his favorite? Not a sword, you couldn't do much damage unless you were able to run a person through. After he pondered this for a minute, he finally said, "A battle-ax. It requires much strength, but that's no problem...you can see I've got biceps to spare!"

Did I just quote Gaston?!

Of course, he'd never admit in a million years that he was a huge Disney fan...and each time a new movie would come out, he'd develop a new crush on the leading female...but his favorite, of course, was Belle.

WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING?!

Shaking the thoughts away, Xavier smirked slightly and continued, "Once you get going with a battle ax, she can do some serious damage no matter how you swing it or what angle you come at."

Looking back at Johnathon, the Professor couldn't help but wonder if the boy had ever used any weapons...probably not, if he was is the music club. Still, he was fairly well built for a student...Xavier couldn't help but wonder why he wasn't in Basic Combat 101.

He didn't really care, though.

"Now, I don't know if you and I should really spar...you are kinda small..." he said, trailing off of he uttered the last four words. "...and if someone, no matter what size, is able to whoop the Combat teacher's ass, you know there's a problem."

Actually, Xavier was sort of nervous about fighting this girl. What if she had super strength or something? She wasn't in his class, so he had no idea what she was capable of...besides, he couldn't risk marking up his beautiful face...

~Lyra~

"As much as I don't like this charity date auction, we need all the girls we can get, Mars and I can run this, it won't be that hard and after all you’d probably go for a high bid anyway.”

Lyra's head popped up at Blake's words. Was that a compliment? It sounded like one...it was so weird! He never said ANYTHING nice about ANYONE.

"Um...thank you, Blake." she said, red lightly touching her cheeks. "I guess...if you're sure you can handle it."

She was happy that he was going along with the idea, even though he obviously didn't like it. Lyra smirked and said, "Blake, we're not exploiting anyone...it's just girls are so much cuter than boys! Think about it--if guys were being auctioned off, do you honestly think we'd make as much money? No! Boys are desperate for the attention of a beautiful woman..."

And she was off again, getting that dreamy look in her eyes and she clasped her hands together and held them to her cheek.

"Girls wouldn't even dream of bidding on a boy! Why? Because society has told girls that the boys must chase THEM! It's all a matter of pride, Blake! If one man bids on a cute girl, then all of the other men will bid to show everyone that they can do anything that the other guys can do!"

She didn't really know what she was talking about, but it sounded good in her head. Suddenly, she had another idea.

"I'll get Miss Weatherstone to participate!" she declared. "She owes me a favor...just IMAGINE how much she'd go for!"

Emi smiled brightly, "Thank you Professor for the tea, oh! And your welcome.. you know for the healing.." she said softly, grabbing the tea starting to ramble on, still nervous about the guy in the room that she knew practically nothing about. She didn't even know his name! She wrapped both of her hands around the tea cup and began to sip at the calming liquid, losing her eyes as it warmed her. "The tea is very delicious! I personally love Chai" she said softly looking at the boy from the corner of her eye.

"Now, I don't know if you and I should really spar...you are kinda small... And if someone, no matter what size, is able to whoop the Combat teacher's ass, you know there's a problem."

Maria recalled a quote of some kind she heard perfect for a situation like this. "It's not your size, professor - It's how you use it." That's it! That's the one! "Also, how can you truly be sure what I'm capable of before we've even fought? You haven't even seen me fight. Actions convey better than words..." Knowledge from an almost millennium-old little girl - Something seemed wrong about that phrase. She could only be considered 'little' on a physical scale at this point. "Oh, and don't worry - My 'power' has nothing to do with combat, so I won't have an unfair advantage. Or maybe you will, depending on what yours is." Or perhaps he didn't have one. Maybe the teachers weren't required to have one. Or what if his power was something to do with adaptability with weapons...

"But truly, you mustn't judge me by size. I have much more to offer than how I look - And if, like I said earlier, my words aren't swaying you, I can show you what I'm capable of - And now that I know your favourite weapon, I'm curious as to how you use it." Observing an enemy's fighting style, noting their movements and strikes, then adapting your own fighting style to suit it was key and had developed her original fighting style to incredible lengths. Perhaps this match would improve her further or even drastically change her style.

Great, I'm thinking too much again, Maria thought and yawned, stretching out her arms to her sides in the process. "I might be able to hold my own against you if I'm lucky, but I don't expect myself to do anything spectacular." She rubbed some sleep out of her eyes, because for whatever reason she felt tired. Again.

(ECH! This is long, isn't it?!)

This wasn't jail. So that was a plus. But on the other hand, he had to be here. But it was new. But he still lost out on any hope of having his college career and his star athlete status and the college sweetheart story and the parties. Oh man were those parties gone now. The adventures were still here though, this had potential. And it wasn't actually a death camp, as he imagined a "school" for people with weird abilities had to be.

Jonah stared down at his paper as he wandered the school grounds, aimlessly dragging his personal effects behind him. It was just part of getting to know the place, but the furrowing of the young man's brow and heaviness of his step didn't seem at all natural to him. With a piece of paper gripped tightly in hand, Jonah pulled his leftover luggage and tried to catch some eye contact with the people, though they all were already on-route to somewhere else. He flashed the customary "star athlete" smile at any girl around his own age, but he knew that he'd be in the younger classes soon and this part wouldn't last too long. He wasn't overly excited about being the "new kid", especially when he was supposed to graduate and move out of the house. It really was like prison. But then, it was more free. No bars, not physically anyway. And his punishment would be much more swift. Were these people as dangerous as inmates, though?

Jonah found an answer to his question, apparently, as a conversation near his meandering path caused him to instantly tear his attention away from the crumpled paper in hand. Jonah, hesitating only slightly, moved double-time to the spot where an older man had spoken of fighting to a younger girl. This couldn't be right, could they even do this on campus? Jonah was about to address them, but catching himself, he instead went the way that had won over so many people back in his glory days.

"
Say, uh, nice to meet you," Jonah mentally scolded himself, he rarely spoke so badly. "Sorry to interrupt. But were you two about to spar? You two, like you go to this school so you're like me, right? I know it sounds ridiculous, but I'm curious."

After a moment of re-arrangement, Jonah managed to set down his stuff and more adequately address the two of them. He knew it was an interruption, but this was too far out to wait for. The young man just had to know what was happening. In this school, with these people, just in general really.

"
About the whole "we aren't your normal students" vibe I'm getting around here, I mean," Jonah explained. "What's the deal with that?"

"Say, uh, nice to meet you," A voice said from behind Maria. "Sorry to interrupt. But were you two about to spar? You two, like you go to this school so you're like me, right? I know it sounds ridiculous, but I'm curious."

Ignoring the question posed to her, Maria examined the man standing before her. He was impressive in stature, it seemed - Though who wasn't in her eyes? Though she couldn't observe anything that could show what his power was. "About the whole "we aren't your normal students" vibe I'm getting around here, I mean, what's the deal with that?"

Maria had to slow down a bit to comprehend what he was saying. He should be glad he looked nice, because if he hadn't she would have slapped him for not getting to his point faster, what with the 'uh's and the speech impediments. Nonetheless she performed a curtsy and gave the man a smile. "I don't believe we've met," Maria stated, looking the man in the eyes. "My name is Maria Scarlette. Pleased to meet you, sir." She offered her hand for a handshake, assuming the man was willing to do so. He didn't seem the type, but it was worth a chance, she supposed.

"And yes, we were talking about sparring - And I would prefer if you didn't object. I just had to explain why the Professor shouldn't object, and I really don't feel like going through that again." She turned to Xavier and explained in her most courteous tone, "Not that you were ignorant. You are a fabulous listener. If you fight as well as you listen this will be a fight for the ages." She turned back to... What was his name again? Did he say it yet? Maybe he did and she was too busy arranging her greeting...

Emma was quiet as this conversation went on and she made sure to listen. She had no reason to speak unless she needed to. Obviously the voice was the Headmistress. When she heard Shinji saying he would be able to hang with her, she smiled softly and nodded "Alright, thank you, Shinjii." What more could Emma say? Honestly, there was no word for her to put in at all.

(Sorry....)

Jonah politely followed along, visibly holding back a strange look when the girl curtsied. Still, he returned the handshake as he knew to; anything else would be horribly out of place. He had to make at least some impression past his reservations about this whole situation. The young man returned her shake with a firm grip and a strong arm, trying not to injure her since she at least looked much smaller.

"Jonah," he replied in turn, relaxing at least somewhat. "Jonah Murphy. Good to finally meet someone at this place."

The next part took him a second to process, but he wasn't about to turn away from an adventure of this sort. What better chance to learn more about the evil spirit stalking him, right? That was the assumption, anyway. His own understanding was minimal, but the man he spoke to about attending hinted that was the closest to his "gift" that he could guess at the second. Was that what it was? He called it a gift. Speaking of, who was that guy?

Upon hearing Maria's words, Jonah agreed, "No. No, I wouldn't object. I know it sounds strange, but I really want to know what this place is all about. Mind me watching?"

"You know, for learning purposes."

"I don't mind - Do you, Professor?" He - The Professor, she meant - Seemed to be getting himself into a lot - Or were the people around him pulling him into things? Either way, he probably wasn't very happy the way things were going. She turned back to Jonah and said, "You might want to try, too - Though I can't be sure you've ever picked up a weapon. You certainly look capable of wielding one, at the very least. Even if you don't want to now, you might learn a thing or two, so it couldn't hurt."

(Ugh. I've gone from a long post where I know exactly what to write to a short post where I'm not sure what to add.)

Mars nodded. "Yeah, it should be a piece of cake to run! The two of us can handle the call outs and everything by ourselves, so don't worry about it." He was almost certain that Lyra would make the most money out of anyone else, if only for her status as student president. People always seemed to favor people in charge subconsciously. Plus her bubbly nature would probably appeal to quite a few people. Of course, he wasn't going to say any of this out loud, and since Blake already let a compliment slip he saw even less reason to.

"It's all a matter of pride, Blake! If one man bids on a cute girl, then all of the other men will bid to show everyone that they can do anything that the other guys can do!"

Mars again was surprised at Lyra. she seemed pretty keen on the whole psychological aspect of the bidding process that would take place. Of course, he wished she would be less general and use terms like most men. He himself didn't chase girls at all, let alone see much attraction in their looks. of course, other than that it was still impressive. Maybe he just underestimated her. He placed both hands on the table and leaned forward. "Exactly! Most men don't want to be outdone when competing for a woman. It would make them look less superior than the others! That is why I think I should counter bid when there is obviously a "big name" girl for sale. If I bid higher than them, then they will obviously want to outbid me, then I drop out when I sense that they won't go any higher! Of course, I will use my own money for this in case I somehow flounder a bid and end up winning. I'll leave it up to Blake to handle the call outs whenever I think there will be money to be made on someone. However, if you don't want this that's fine, but all I'm doing is raising the money raised. If I end up winning a bid, all of the profit will still go to our funds, so there isn't any downside." Mars was really enthusiastic about his plan, if not overly so. On one hand, he did see it as a way to make more money. On the other hand, he wanted to see if he could outsmart the other bidders and trick them into bidding more than they normally would.

Mars scrunched up his face slightly when Lyra mentioned bringing miss Weatherstone into the auction. "Really? Are you sure there are going to be as many bids as you suspect?" She was the headmistress, after all. In fact, his doubts stemmed solely from this fact. He didn't see too many people wanting the person in charge as a personal doll for the day. He could be wrong, though. There were multiple reasons one would want to bid, but he still had doubts.

"For all the sake of . . . " Johnathon trailed off, annoyance streaked through his facial features, eyebrows knitted together. Between the ego of Suleiman and this guy, he'd choose the latter. With tolerance, as he thought, he had obliged Xavier to tag along with him, but the boy could no longer see the point. It was now in his best intentions to be blunt, and even more so as the professor, though still unknown to Johnathon, immaturely laughed at his own obvious conclusions. 'HA!' the professor had exclaimed, causing John to place his head in his hands.

In automatic response to Xavier's childish antics, John proceeded to ignore him entirely, and place more conversational hopes in Maria. He nodded to her, his upper lip curved slightly. The whip in her hand certainly caught his attention; he followed her movements as she dangled it from her wrist. What caught him off guard was what the girl said next: "Just out of curiosity, Professor -"

"Professor?" For what seemed a fleeting moment, the look in Johnathon's eyes was blank. His cigarette fell from his opened jaw, fluttering to the ground lightly. "Didn't see that one coming," he muttered quietly, presently squashing his fallen smoke. What had been sudden surprise though turned to a collected attitude, in typical Johnathon fashion. Actually, aside from the cigarette, the boy's moment of revelation didn't show. He had said the word 'professor' - chances were Xavier had caught on now - but that didn't matter much. If Xavier would jab at him now, Johnathon would only retaliate; he certainly hadn't been given trouble doing thus so far. A smirk was literally playing at his lips now.

Seeing the sparring conversation develop between Maria and the Basic Combat teacher, John readied his leave. But one last thing caught his attention -

"You can see I've got biceps to spare!"

Gaston? he repeated in his head. Doing a double-take, he regarded the professor with antiquity for a moment. That film is ancient. Ironically, this 'ancient' film was still embedded far enough within Johnathon's mind that such a vague quote still registered with him. Quite possibly, he was still young at heart, even if he wouldn't admit it.

Now, putting one foot in front of the other, John took his leave, humming 'Be Our Guest' under his breath. He busily fished around his pocket to the familiar tune, soon retrieving yet another cigarette. This one though showed apparent signs of past use. Whether or not he noticed, it was soon between the firm clench of his maw. How typical it was that in one pocket Johnathon horded a stash of tobacco, while the other pocket he reserved specifically for a cheap nickle lighter. Both the bare necessities for him to live resided in a daily pair of pants. Convenient.

Nearing the fabled Music Room, Johnathon stopped at the familiar chirps of an instrument. At this point, he had forgotten the last pieces of Marie's directions, so the instrument's melodic notes acted as the perfect guide for him. He followed its sound all the way to the room itself, stopping outside the door only briefly to glance up at the name plate reading "Music Room" (he almost expected a #3 after it). Then, stepping inside, John was greeted by the sight of not one, but two musicians! Together they played, one on the drums, the other on a guitar. Surely it wasn't what he had expected - he had assumed the room would be abandoned. A little voiced in the back of his head screeched 'collaboration', which was pain to Johnathon's ears. Essentially the boy had wished for peace and quiet alone with the piano. This wasn't what he ordered.

Heaving a small sigh, he moved forward into the room. His presence could barely even be made out; his footfalls were silent, and he didn't utter a single noise as he took his familiar place on the piano bench. For now he'd just watch the two, and perhaps find some solace in their music. Collaboration did not sound appealing at the moment.

Geno sent a glance to the newcomer. He was almost the same height as Geno, and reminded him of himself in his clothing. Vest and tie was the most casual thing he was allowed to wear back home, and his hairstyle wasn't to far from his either. Had he been wearing something more formal than a tank top at the moment, they probably could've been mistaken for brothers, except for the obvious difference in eyes, but if they both were wearing sunglasses that'd be no problem. He chuckled quietly at the thought.

After they had finished the song, he went back to the violin which leaned against the piano, and picked it up. "Nicely done." He said, turning to the guitar girl. "Excuse me, what did you say your name was?" He leaned against the piano. And looked over his shoulder at the newcomer. "And hi there, you too. I'm Geno."

Sora strummed away, not noticing the presence that entered the room. She tends to get lost in her music. She stopped short when the boy asked her a question. "Oh! I haven't even introduced myself! I'm sorry!" She said as she turned around to face the boy, surprised to see a new face beside the piano.

"Oh hello!" She said with a hearty smile. "I'm Soraphine Grimaldo. Nice to meet you guys!" She replied to the boy's question, bowing down courteously.

"Im the same" Killua said, "I really like games like Shadow of the Colossus, Dark souls, but I also like games like Halo and stuff on occasion." Killua said happily. "Oh by the way are you in any clubs? Or no?" Killua asked curiously. As they walked Killua looked out the windows at the students in the massive courtyard, they were all huddled in there little groups of friends.
((After much homework and being dragged around by people, I finally have a moment to check this RP! ... And I missed like 10+ pages... Yeah, I'm not readin' everything that's happened while I was away... -.-; ))

Leo shook her head, also glancing around at all the other people. "No, I haven't joined any clubs... I'm... a little afraid of entering a club room... all by myself... where I probably don't know any of the members... and they'd stare at me... wondering 'who does this girl think she is, coming into our club like that'..." Shaking slightly, bright green eyes wide with terror, the redhead kept glitching in and out, probably looking like a really crappy computer program...
