Fantasy Hawthorne Academy

Soaking up the rays of the sun, Blake let the beams warm his neck. His body felt relaxed and his mind felt at peace also even if it was still jumbled with thoughts he'd rather not discuss. He was so relaxed he didn't notice Shinji walk up to him, take off his jacket and take a seat next to him until he teased him. Immediately freezing up Blake almost chocked on his gum, it didn't show because of his knack for controlling his emotions, well at least on the outside.

Yep...the world just love screwing me over, its official, the evidence is right in this freaking day and the person sitting right next to me.

Snapping out of it Blake gazed at the white bandages that were wrapped around his arms and neck now noticeable as his jacket was off and apparently this guy was like every other obnoxious a-hole that blasted their music way to loud so everyone could hear it.

"Hypocrite much?" Blake retorted "by the way the mask and the bandages really compliment your entire outfit."

Looks like his dry humor was coming to bite him in the ass, but Blake could care less. By impulse he took out the package of gum, grabbed a piece and gave it to Shinji, not looking him in the face while doing so. Only when he held the piece out he realized what he was doing, but there was no turning back now.

"you are hosting a curse"

Veronica could not believe her ears. That's what it was. These simple words that explained everything. The pain, the spiritual drainage. It all made sense. The thing she needed to figure out next were the few thing that she could come up with in her head.

  1. What did the curse exactly do?
  2. Who gave her the curse?
  3. And why?

Veronica tried to process what Kinya was trying to tell her. She knew it was a problem telling but she knew she couldn't keep it from Lyra. If she was going to tell anyone she knew she had to tell Lyra. But then again, it was for her safety. Veronica looked the headmistress in the eyes and said to her truthfully. "yes mam...No one will know" Veronica held the pain inside her chest to herself and stood up, trying to get her bearings. "Should... I go to my next class? Academics first. Of course, I'll need to change first." Veronica looked down at the gown she was wearing.

~Headmistress Kinya Weatherstone/Professor Giovia Eriwind~

Standing up, Kinya nodded and said, "Yes, that would be for the best. Well, if everything is settled here, I'm going to go back to my office and do some research on curses. Giovia, call me if you need anything else."

She started towards the door, stopping only once to say, "Have a nice day, ladies."

And she was gone.

Giovia sighed, wiping a drip of sweat from her forehead.

"Yes, then. Liam will be happy to see you in class...go and change, but this time...please don't lock the door." Giovia said, obviously stressed out. She knew that she would also have to be doing her research on curses. For now, all Giovia could do was try to ease her physical pain the best she could.

Preparing a small bottle full of pain killers, Giovia handed them to the girl.

"You can take as many of these as you want, there is no possible way to overdose yourself." she explained. "These SHOULD help with those sharp pains, but there isn't really much else I can do."

~Liam DiFranco~

Liam didn't even notice the blindfolded girl enter his class until he looked up a few minutes later. He raised an eyebrow slightly, and then suddenly felt a twinge of annoyance. No-one had told him he had a blind girl in his class! He would have created braille notes for her to read!

Wait...maybe he still had time!

Out of absolute nowhere, Liam pulled out a huge sheet of some sort of stone and started chipping away. He had once read a book about the Braille alphabet, so he was fairly good at reading and writing it. He began chipping so fast, that a cloud of dust began rising from the stone. He was perfectly translating that days entire lesson's notes!

"I WILL NOT LET ONE OF MY STUDENTS BE DEPRIVED OF KNOWLEDDDDDDGE!" he yelled, as if going to war. "HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Emma listened to what was going on before the teacher started yelling. She got up and walked over, grabbing a piece of tape and slapping it on his mouth "I know you're talking about me but please, stop yelling and creating so much dust." She coughed slightly "All I need is you to write a bit hard on my papers when grading them or giving me them. I can feel the writing if it has a indent." she sighed "I'm not blind like a bat, sir." she walked back to her desk. Great. I have a crazy ass teacher

~Lyra~

Lyra smiled, closing her eyes and giving her head a slight tilt as he thanked her. The laughter in his voice was so sweet, like the cheerful chiming of bells being gently nudged by the wind. It was enough to put anyone in a good mood. Just as the girl was about to welcome him, she felt those slender fingers coil around her wrist. Her eyes snapped open, seeing him...examining her hand? Of course, she was doing the same to him, but she wouldn't have dared grab his wrist. His hands were warm, and surprisingly soft. She wanted to just pull his hand her face and hold it, but there was absolutely no way she would do that.

"You have good hands for the piano."

Lyra blinked at Johnathon, finding herself lost against looking at him. Those eyes. It was those eyes...geez, she couldn't even remember her name when she looked at them.

After the bell had rang, she quickly pulled away and had her ditzy moment. She heard Johnathon respond to her question. He was in History, too?

YES!

That's when Lyra saw Mars approaching.

NO!

Lyra greeted the Treasurer with a pleasant, "Hi, Mars, how's it--"

He didn't seem to hear her, and just started talking. After he finished, Lyra replied with, "Um, sure, Mars."

She glanced back at Johnathon as she started out of the room, waving and calling, "See you in class!"

[/QUOTE]
John scowled a little as Mars made his way over to Lyra and he. It was evident in this second meeting that the Student Council was not a fan of him . . . a fan of Lyra and him. Was it possible Lyra also felt indifferent towards him? She is the student president, he painfully admitted, dwelling on some pretty negative thoughts. This gave him an immediate cause to feel bitter - bitter like he always was. Mars, the fellow Thermal Manipulationist, was he friend or foe? Lyra . . . was she friend or foe? Now could he even trust his own emotions? These questions buzzed and popped in Johnathon's head, all in a matter of seconds before Lyra had even responded to Mars. And when she did respond, they were immediately dismissed.

"Yeah, see you there," John replied slowly, raising his hand to wave as Lyra fluttered out of class (with Mars, of course). When she had left, a hit on the noggin is what John gave himself. Idiot! He had to stop letting his emotions play with him at such expense. There had been a chance he would've actually shown both Lyra and Mars a taste of his bitterness. Idiot! he growled a second time. Keep it together. Under no such circumstances should you allow ANYONE to mess with you so easily. Heaving a heavy sigh, he kicked a crumpled piece of paper on the ground. Time was running out before class, he reminded himself.

~~

Reaching class, Johnathon was greeted by a bizarre turn of events. Smoke! Screaming! Fire? No. A teacher? Yes. "God," he exclaimed under his breath. His silver eyes scanned the room immediately, expecting signs of destruction on all the walls. Nothing apparent so far. Even the students he briefly glazed over, who were in fact as astonished as he, but everything seemed practically fine. Except for the teacher that is. On automatic, he took a seat in the back of class. He did not plan to be anywhere near that psychopath.

Nichole said"emma?" Blinking. She then rubbed her ears wincing. "Ugh why does he have to be so loud?" Nichole blasted the teacher with water and froze it over his mouth annoyed. "Can you stop yelling? We can hear you just fine" rolling her eyes. She looked at the teacher her hand under her cheek. Nichole sighed then read the book.

Veronica eyed the pills suspiciously. If it meant staying alive and keeping this a secret, then this is what must happen. She gently took the pills and gulped one down. It should take effect after a while. Probably during her next class. She then changed in the bathroom with the door unlocked and then made her way back out. She neared the door then turned around to face Giovia. "Miss...I have to say... Thank you very much. For the soothing words also. I'm already starting to feel comfortable. Also, if you see the headmistress, do you mind giving my thanks?" Veronica then turned back to the door to walk down the hallway, making her way to the history classroom. she knocked on the door's translucent screen and knocked a few times.

~Professor Liam DiFranco~

Liam was unpleasantly surprised by the sudden smack of tape across his mouth. He stopped chipping, listening to the girl, and then tore the tape of with a loud frrrrrripp. There went half of his mustache.

Squealing in pain, the man put a hand to his lip.

"How dare you! You insolent child, I was trying to help--"

He was about to go into another one of his speeches when a blast of water was shot at his mouth, freezing as it did.

"EEEEEH! IT'SH IN MAH NOSHE!" he managed, exhaling violently from his nose. He shot his worst look at both of the girls. The misbehaving had begun already, and class hadn't even started. Sheesh, last year was bad, but this was the fastest any student started picking on him.

They were WORST than last year!

Usually, pranksters and students targeted him because his ability wasn't all fancy like theirs. Because of this, they also weren't very good in his class, which drove him up the wall.

Tearing out a scrap of paper, the teacher wrote quickly (his mouth still frozen over):

Emma Farris and Nichole Kudo

DETENTION FOREVER!!!!! (or at least after class for an hour, depending on how I feel)

As Veronica knocked on the screen door, Liam immediately answered it, absolutely elated to see her.

"Vewonica, mah deer!" he said, his words being altered by the ice. "I'm sho ghlad you could mek it! How ahre you feelin? Come inshide!"

More students began entering the class, one that he recognized as...Johnathon Szczyz! If Liam remembered correctly, and he did, this boy's power was Thermal Manipulation. Marching over to where the boy sat down, forgetting about Veronica, Liam placed both hands on his desk and leaned forward.

"Ivf you unfreezsh mah mouf, I'll giff you exshtra cwedit." he said, trying his best to force out the words.

Nichole then wrote on a large piece of paper and held it up. Her expression way pissed off by now with this teacher. No one picks on emma.

YOU CAN'T GIVE US DETENTION FOREVER! ITS ILLEGAL AND JUST WRONG! I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE! NO ONE BULLIES EMMA!

Nichole glared at him and growled. She can be nice...until you push her buttons and get on her rare bad side.

Emma knew by the sound of his writing he sounded pissed "Not to piss you off sir, but thing is you are treating me as if I'm a blind girl. Insted of assuming, you should have asked. There is a reason why I wear this, if you want to know, i'll show you after class, but I assure you it's not pretty." showing a teacher who knows history shouldnt mind it much, right?

Johnathon was in the middle of blocking out any noise that dare meander his way. This was largely due to the girls aggravating the teacher, and the teacher's naturally loud, obnoxious, and destructive personality. The so called 'Smoker' would not be dwelling on the thought of spending a year in this class. He could shudder just at the thought. Some might say first impressions are misleading, but no one could mess up a first impression this badly without reflecting the truth of the matter.

Needless to say, John was a little on edge when the teacher stalked towards the back of the class to let in more students. He was greeting them now with cheerfulness on an extreme level, despite ice caked onto his mouth and a torn mustache. What exactly is this guy? John asked himself, but before he could give it any more thought, Mr. DiFranco was in his face.

"Ivf you unfreezsh mah mouf, I'll giff you exshtra cwedit."

John only stared blankly at the professor (for what must've been a few seconds at the least). He was meeting the guy straight on now, not even scooting back in his seat, but leaning forward actually. "Presto," he said, arrogantly flicking his hand in the professor's face. At the same time, the ice thawed and Liam was freed. "I look forward to the extra credit," he stated flatly, forming a sarcastic smile on his mouth.

Mars left the classroom with Lyra, surprised with the results he had gotten. He expected that she would invite Johnathan to come along, but instead they parted ways. Did this mean the two were closer than he suspected? Did Lyra not want to talk to Johnathan around anyone else because their conversations would reveal something? Well, Mars had thought up a plan before hand to ask Lyra to help him practice a new technique after class and then ask her there, but since they were alone he could be more direct. "So, what do you think of that new kid, Johnathan? You two seem to get along well?"

Mars glanced slightly at Lyra, then ran his hand through his hair. "Personally, I'm not really liking what I've seen. He is way to careless about everything, plus he smokes so much he could be mistaken for a chimney. He obviously doesn't have much care for himself, so I suspect he doesn't have the capacity to care for others." Mars stopped right outside of the classroom, watching Lyra as he said this. Any emotional response would give him a sign of exactly what her feelings were of him. Of course, he was being a little harsh and manipulative, but that was just how mars worked.

Veronica made her way into the history class seeing the teacher in a predicament and all the shouting wildly. Two girls were in an argument. The teacher wouldn't calm down and everyone was getting on each others nerves. Then Veronica walked at the front of the class while the teacher was in the back getting his mouth unfrozen. "QUIET!" Veronica shouted at the class. The second she did so, the students started to calm down. "As your vice president it is my job to make sure that these classes go as planned. You are to learn history here, not act like a bunch of hooligans! Please. Those standing, take your seats." She then glared at the whole classroom. Her emotions calming and the shouting giving her a headache. She sat at the front of the class at the very left side. Then put her head on her desk. There was too much going on....and its was only the first day...

~Professor Liam DiFranco~

Liam stretched his jaw, which meant making many strange faces. He smiled at Johnathon and said, "Thank you, m'boy. For that, I think I'll just give you an A on tonight's homework. How does that sound?"

At that moment, Liam turned around to see Nichole holding up her own note.

YOU CAN'T GIVE US DETENTION FOREVER! ITS ILLEGAL AND JUST WRONG! I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE! NO ONE BULLIES EMMA!

Seconds later, Emma began scolding him.

"QUIET!"

Liam looked up to see Veronica, flustered and obviously not in the mood for this. She gave her little speech, and then plopped down into a desk. Liam nodded approvingly and pointed at her, "EXTRA CREDIT! Thank you, Veronica."

Liam faced Nichole and said, "Young lady, I don't think you realize that I am your Professor. You WILL care who I am when you see the big fat "F" that I'm going to give you on tonight's assignment. I really hate grading my students before they have a proper chance at trying, but this will give you more time to think about how disrespectful you were."

He surprisingly sounded serious, like an actual teacher.

Liam sighed, and turned to Emma first, "My dear, I apologize for making the assumption. The Headmistress didn't tell me about your situation - I just didn't want you to be left behind."

There was a pause, and he pointed to where half of his mustache used to be.

"But don't you think the tape was a bit much?" he whined. "My poor little mustache..."

~Lyra~

Lyra's eyebrows knit together as Mars spoke, and she crossed her arms...almost like she was trying to shield herself from what he was saying.

"...I suspect he doesn't have the capacity to care for others."

Each one of those words left a cut in Lyra's heart. Why? She...didn't know. The pit in her stomach was back, but it wasn't like before. She didn't have butterflies flittering in her stomach, she wasn't blushing like mad...it wasn't the same excited feeling. Instead, Lyra felt like her heart had just dropped from her chest into her gut.

"I agree, smoking isn't good for you...but that doesn't mean he doesn't care for himself." Lyra replied quietly, keeping her eyes locked on the floor where she was walking. She focused on the part of Mars's observation that didn't make her heart sink. "Besides, he's been very kind to me. We both play the piano, and I'm sure we have much more in common..."

She stopped walking abruptly, and her head snapped towards him. Her expression changed from sadness to annoyance.

"Why are you talking about him like that, anyway? You spoke to him, what, twice? Maybe?" she snapped, taking a step toward him. "You don't even know him! Sure, I don't know him all that well. Maybe I never will. Maybe you're even right! Maybe he can't care about others! But even so, who are you to make such...such...JUDGEMENTS?!"

Lyra stopped, then looked away. She hadn't ever gotten that upset with Mars...why was she so angry now?

"I'm going." she said between her teeth, leaving Mars behind as she walked to class. She almost felt like crying...what if he was right? But why did she care so much if he was?

Lyra walked into the room, which was chaos as always. She looked over the room. Seeing Veronica instantly put Lyra into a better mood, and she was about to skip over to her like she usually would...and then she saw him. She met Johnathon's eyes for a moment...but she didn't smile. Instead, she just walked passed him, taking the seat beside Veronica.

"Well, if it isn't my favorite girl!" she grinned, poking the girl's arm. "What did Giovia want you for?"

Emma sighed "Sorry. I couldnt stop your yelling either way..Just shave the rest and you'll grow a fresh one and it'll look better then the last." She knew the hair felt dead in some sort when she slammed the tape on his mouth. "If you want to know more about me, look in my file and you'll know why I wear this."

Veronica started to doze off into vampiric slumber until she felt a poke at her arm. It was Lyra! Veronica felt like crying tears of joy! Veronica smiled a huge smile and welcomed Lyra to class. She had to tell her everything. First she was going to tell her how much she cared about her. Second, she'd tell her about the and then third, she'd tell her how headmistress told her not to....Told her not to... Tell anything....It all came rushing back to Veronica's head. "You are not to tell anyone. No matter how much they ask, no matter how much they bother...even if they threaten you, do not tell them ANYTHING. Do you understand?" . Veronica looked down a bit. Having the pain rushing back to her. She knew she felt like crying but if she cried, then Lyra would really ask what was wrong. She couldn't worry her like that. Veronica then looked back up to Lyra. "I asked a bit about my powers. She showed me how to do it specifically. I was confused". Veronica tried to fake a laugh but it came out strangely awkward. She didn't know how much more of this she could perform. Then she tried to change the subject to a better note. "What about you? How was the beginning of class with Johnathan?" Veronica tried to forget about the past experiences and focus on what mattered right now. Her friends.

Nichole's hair covered her eyes and she went silent. But her grip on the desk tightened and there was the sound of a crack. Nichole didnt say one word as she stood up water surrounding her making spikes and she grabbed her backpack running out the door. Tears fell down her cheeks and she ran faster and faster to get away from that class. Nichole tried to find a quiet place to cry away from everyone. She couldn't think clearly and sat under a tree her water freezing around her making a spikey shell of ice.

DeijiiChan said:
Calista felt sad that Aleksander had transferred, her gut feeling was right about it,"Ah.. I'm in Otherworld History with Professor DiFranco." Calista said feeling lonesome that her only friend so far was not in her class now, being transferred to Professor Chime's class which she believed had to do with control over power. Calista wasn't sure why Aleksander was in such a class but she didn't want to be rude and invade his personal space. Holding Kuro in her arms, she gave Aleksander a small smile, trying to hide her disappointment and be at least happy that Aleksander would walk her over to class,"I don't mind." Calista said, accepting his offer unlike how she did with Blake, feeling slightly guilty that she declined Blake's offer to walk her to her dorm.
"Maybe I can make it up to him." Calista thought but then she remembered that they were suppose to be in class, taking Aleksander's hand, she tugged him along gently towards the door,"We have to hurry! What if you be late for class Aleksander?" Calista warned and started to speedwalk towards her class so Aleksander could make it to his class on time. Kuro however have been glaring at Aleksander for a while, his piercing yellow eyes shot daggers at Aleksander's way as if Kuro was jealous of him for getting all of Calista's attention from him.

Kuro only came because he had missed Calista's affection towards him, wanting Calista to baby him some more but it seemed that someone had taken his Calista away. A dark aura coming from Kuro, his eyes changed from glowing hazel to blood red but it was only for a second, his eyes turning back to normal in a flash.
Aleksander quickly followed Calista, reaching her class. He smiled at her and bowed.

"I hope we can see each other after classes Calista. Maybe get a cup of coffee together." He said, smiling brightly. "Have a nice class!" Aleks waved to her and then bolted to find Crysta Chime. He quickly found the room and burst in.

"Hi"

He quickly sat down on the mat he was on before and grinned.

~Lyra~

Lyra raised an eyebrow at Veronica's awkward (and no doubt fake) laughter after the girl explained why she was talking to Giovia. Lyra nodded, saying, "Yeah, your evaluation looked pretty confusing...I hope she helped!"

The President could tell there was something...else. Veronica was acting a bit strange, even for her! Lyra was about to ask if Veronica felt alright, but she was interrupted with:

"What about you? How was the beginning of class with Johnathan?"

Lyra's face turned beet read, and she squeaked, "Why are you asking me that?! Isn't that a little weird?"

Lyra took a short pause, than leaned over and whispered, "He's really, really cool...and he plays the piano, and--"

Lyra stopped, recalling what Mars had said so her earlier. Pulling back from Veronica, she groaned on put her head on her desk. Just then, a girl that Lyra recognized from the Healing and Protection class bolted out the door, ice and water swirling all around her.

"What the--" Lyra gasped. She looked at Liam, who simply ignored it.

Mars critically analyzed every movement or word Lyra made, just like he would analyze an old text for english class. Her arms were crossed, which usually meant that someone was scared, mentally hurt, worried, or impatient. Her eyes focused on the floor seemed to indicate that what he was saying was having some sort of emotional effect on her, though this wasn't a certainty. The fact that she mentioned her similarities with Johnathan was irrelevant to the matter, so the fact that she mentioned it to defend him meant that she probably had some sort of connection to him. From what he gathered, he confirmed there was something between the two. Whether that be mutual respect, mild friendship, stronger friendship, or something else he couldn't confirm.

Suddenly, she turned towards him, angrier than she had ever been at him. In fact, Mars couldn't remember the last time she had snapped at him like this, so he was quite surprised. Still, he kept a straight, emotionless face, just like he always did. She was being very defensive now, yelling her objections right in his face. The fact that she had never gotten angry at him before pointed to the fact that this matter was rather sensitive to her, and that he had actually caused her some form of grief. As Lyra stormed off, he couldn't help but feel a tinge of guilt, something he rarely felt. Sure, he was being harsh, but he didn't mean to actually cause any distress.

Mars waited outside for a few seconds, waiting for Lyra to find a spot and sit down, then entered the classroom. He placed his books on the second desk to the front right, then turned to the teacher. "Hello there, Professor! How's it going today? got some great lesson planned up?" Mars was one of the few students to actually like the teacher, probably because of his intense love for knowledge. He would sometimes talk to Liam outside of classes about some of the history he taught. Mars really liked how he was so dedicated to his work and how invested he was at times.

Johnathon shrugged at the teacher's response, his face lackluster. He wasn't a particular fan of being called 'm'boy', but its level of annoyance, compared to some, was minor. The minute the teacher set his sights on a troublemaker he was off, allowing John the room and maneuverability to lean back in his chair and kick up his feet. Then, adjusting slightly, he put his elbows behind his head and slumped into a lazy posture. A straw hat would have perfectly completed the scene.

Antics in the class had escalated splendidly, leaving many students with an uncomfortable frown, while as careless of anything in the world at all John remained in back. Hearing commotion behind him, however, he lifted his gaze and tilted his head to the side, seeing the door crack open. Lyra entered, and for a split second he caught the shine of her silver eyes. But then it was gone. Without any further regard to him she moved to the other side of the class, where Mrs. Vice President had set up base. A miniature frown played at his lower lip, causing it to twitch visibly. His instincts said to cover it up nonchalantly with a stubble scratch, but his hands were wringing themselves together beneath his desk - out of sight. Why did this tick him off? His hands began to wring together more forcefully and with a greater anxiety. He had to shake his head to cast aside any anxious thought of action, any of which would certainly result in Liam exploding again, but the feeling he currently experienced would not be so easily shrugged off. Poor man, Johnathon thought, eying the professor. He doesn't need that. A small smidgen of sympathy had been gathered into John's heart for the History teacher, even if on the outside he appeared to dislike him. Honestly, a couple classmates were beginning to tick him off equally as much as they did the teacher. These were counted among the least of his worries though.

Without warning, Johnathon slipped back into his previous state of mind, from back when he was in Basic Healing and Protection 101. It was the thought that Lyra, as well as the rest of the Student Council, hated him. In mere words he couldn't express why this should have to bother him so much, tax his mind, and remain an unanswered question in his head - that question being . . . why was he feeling so attached to Lyra? Why, he asked repeatedly. He didn't hold friends as a luxury in life, or at least, hadn't. Not in a long time.

A cough suddenly and painfully wrenched open his jaw, retracting his back before it then launched forward with the impact, throwing the rest of his body off balance all at the same time. He recovered quickly though, sniffing a little as a familiar grunt escaped through his teeth, the kind that follows most intense coughs. Clearing his throat while rubbing over his mouth using the back of his hand, his eyes raised themselves to peer at the class. He had just been loud and abrupt, so the latter easily expected a few questionable glances to shoot his way. Instead of catching a frown or glance though, he caught Lyra's eyes. How he wanted to face palm then.

Sadly, Calista had made it into the class quite late, waving goodbye to Aleksander and going to her usual way of seating, the back of the room. Luckily she was able to sneak past the teacher with some of her fellow students to distract him for her. Hiding in the back, Calista finally gave Kuro some attention, grooming his coat and smiling down to him sweetly like she usually did for him. It was a nice feeling for Kuro, purring and rubbing his head against her hand, begging for more love.

Calista only giggled in response, giving him all the affection she could give to him, not caring that the world was still spinning with her, time flying by her. Taking all her time on giving Kuro some love that he selfishly wanted. Stroking his fur one last time, Calista returned back to reality once more and examined her class, surprised to see some of them from her first class,"Oh, seems I could maybe befriend some of them." Calista suggested but remembering from the embarrassing moment in their last class, she decided to just keep quiet and let them do whatever, not sure what they were doing back for some odd reason, their teacher had a strange mustache,"A new style?" Calista thought, giggling at how strange their teacher was.

Shinji plopped himself onto the bench, his legs crossed and his arms hanging behind the bench lazily. He was quite in a lazy mood and was in need for some kind of action, something fun to entertain him so he could get into the mood to do something. Chuckling at Blake's comment on his outfit, Shinji glared at Blake playfully,"Checking me out now? Am I that charming to you, Mr. Secretary?" Shinji jokingly said and calmly run his fingers through his jet-black hair that shined in the sunlight, sweat already forming on his body,"Ugh... it's really hot when you're wearing dark clothes." Shinji mumbled and tried to cool himself but with black clothing and a mask on, it didn't help much.

Then Blake suddenly was giving Shinji something, a piece of gum even though Shinji didn't ask for one. Shinji stared at the wrapped candy with an amused look and to see the Blake being almost as if he was regretting his decision made Shinji want to tease him more,"I wonder how I'll eat this when I have a mask on?" Shinji said nonchalantly but took the offering of the gum. The answer was pretty oblivious to Shinji, he could just take off the mask and show off his face to Blake but to do such a thing was not what Shinji would like to do.

His face was hidden for a reason, his blood-red eye the only thing that could be seen of his face. There was a secret that Shinji was hiding from everyone, only Calista knowing of it and Kuro, though being only a black cat, Kuro was a special case. Playing with the piece of gum, careful not to drop it or even squash the delicate candy.

-mind is blocked with braindead ._.-

~Lyra~

Not long after the girl had burst out of the room, the class's chaos resumed. Liam looked as if he was about to have an aneurysm, probably feeling depressed that he couldn't control his class. Poor guy...he really did try. Though he did look a bit silly with only half of his mustache. Lyra knew that he was, in fact, a good teacher. She studied with him last year. Of course, the students were way worse, but they are pretty much all the same in Liam's eyes. Only a handful of students have passed his class with an A. Lyra tapped her fingers along her chin, and of course, her eyes somehow managed to wander from Liam to Johnathon. She was sitting about two rows behind him, but she was positioned just perfectly to catch his profile...his...perfect profile...

Geez, why did she keep thinking like that?

Lyra didn't have to mentally scold herself for long, as her thoughts were silenced by a painful sounding cough from Johnathon. It was definitely violent, strong enough to actually put him off balance. After he seemed to steady himself, one again, his silver eyes locked on hers. There was a moment where the room seemed absolutely silent, and all she could see were those eyes...pulling her in, almost.

Quickly snapping herself out of it, the President jumped out of her seat and quickly wove through the desks in front of her to get to him. Of course, being Lyra, her hip caught on the corner of one of the desks, causing it to slide a few inches forward.

Don't scream, don't scream, don't scream. That hurt like hell! THAT HURT LIKE HELLLLL! Oh no, don't cry don't cry! You are STRONG! You are amazing! YOU ARE WOMAN!

Lyra paused for a moment, placing both hands on her (probably bruised) hip. She bit down on her lip and kept trying to think of positive thoughts, and not how much she was in pain. She almost smiled, thinking she'd sound like an old lady saying,
"I threw out my hip!"

It wasn't until she realized that Johnathon had probably seen the episode that she really had to use all of her willpower.

She couldn't go to his desk, she was frozen with embarrassment. Instead, she looked up with an awkward smile and asked, her voice cracking, "Are you okay?"

((wrote this mainly because I literally cracked my hip on a desk EVERY DAY when I was in public school
xD ))

~Professor Liam DiCaprio~

Liam nodded at Emma and said, "I will make sure to check your file, m'dear. For now, I'll write out your assignment with more pressure, alright?"

Just then, Mars came in. Liam's face lit up seeing the boy; Mars was one of his favorite students. So polite, so dedicated...and he didn't rip off half of the Professor's mustache!

"Mars, my boy! How are you? Did you have a good summer? Congratulations on making Student Council, I'm very proud of you! I was the Treasurer, once upon a long time ago...ha, those were the days! Oh, and you'll love today's lesson. It's about Monsters! Exciting, yes?" he rambled, patting Mars's shoulder with every point he made.
