Nichole blushed and said"thanks. Nicholett and i-" she stopped herself and hir her cheeks again trying to smile. "~cmon everypony smile smile smile. Fill my heart up with sunshine sunshine! All I really need is a smile smile smile! From these happy friends of mine!!~" she grinned and nodded to herself. "We're almost there emma. " Nichole stood on her toes trying to see through the sea of students.

Geno looked around the room for a second, and almost missed Xavier's question. "Oh, sorry." He said, realizing he'd been ignoring him. "Well, I can do lots of things, really." He lifted his hand and a small layer of black metal started coating it. In a few seconds, a black metal glove had formed around it. He dissolved it, and made a new one, this time with claws. "It flows through my veins, and has completely replaced my bones and blood. I can form it out of nothing, as far as I can tell." He dissolved the new glove as well. "When it first froms, it's molten, or liquid, but almost immediatly afterwards it turns solid. I can delay the solidification for as long as I might like, but after that I can't make it return to it's liquid state again, and it turns into a mess to control." He looked back at Xavier and added "Unless it's my original blood, in which case I can make it return to the liquid form, but using my blood in battle doesn't sound like such a great idea, does it?"

Using it like that was basic though, creating small objects out of the metal wasn't straining at all. A few drops of the liquid rose from his hand and levitated in the air above it in perfect spherical shapes. He looked around the room, and moved over to a window. "Using a lot of it at once is more exhausting though, and things like this.." He opened the window, and shot out with his fingers, causing the balls of liquid to shoot off into a nearby tree, burrying themselves a bit into it. "... Is also quite bothersome." He scratched his neck, and turned back around, to go sit down in a chair. "So, what's your evaluation?"

The red haired girl smiled slightly as she walked into the room, looking around. She hadn't really looked at the room itself the last time she'd been there, but now that she did, her smile widened. She really liked this room. She took the tea with a smile and a quiet thank you. Standing silently in one corner of the room, drinking her tea, she watched as other students trickled in. Biting her lip, she moved herself further into the corner, trying not to be noticed. She didn't know these people. They might be mean.

~Professor Crysta Chime~

"You are troubled." Crysta said, her voice soft as she spoke to Leona in the corner. She put a gentle hand on the girl's arm and gave her a reassuring smile.

"I promise you that none of my students will act towards you with malice." she said. Of course, she wasn't too sure because she hadn't seen the aura of every single one of her students for herself, but even if one had a nasty air about them, they wouldn't dare act up in Crysta's presence.

"You'll be fine." she smiled.

~Headmistress Kinya Weatherstone~

Kinya stared blankly out the window, through the small crack she had drawn from the curtains. She could see most of the campus from this window, which made the room serve perfectly as her office and study. Since she was on the top floor of the building, the students looked no bigger than ants. The bell signalling the end of class had gone off only moments ago, causing the students to scurry out of their first class and run off to their second. Kinya could spot a few students that were lost, but for the most part, everyone seemed to know where they were going.

Closing the curtains, Kinya sighed and walked to her desk. Hopefully, this year would be a lot better than last. The corners of the Headmistress's mouth drooped into a scowl as she remembered the end of the year "prank" that had been pulled on her.

"What the HELL is going on in here?!"

The students faces snapped up as the Headmistress walked into her office, her face clearly expressing her annoyance. The students were all holding cloth over their mouths and noses.

"You told me there was a serious injury in Basic Combat that needed my attention right away--" Kinya yelled, not happy that these students had lied to her about something so serious. She froze, looking at their smug smiles. She sniffed the air, and almost gagged.

"What is that stink? What did you do?!" she roared, storming forward. Just then, a bucket of...something...rained down on her. Something like smelled like death and misery, soaking her hair, clothes...everything!

It wasn't until later that she realized it was egg yolks. Not just chicken egg yolks...but DRAGON egg yolks, one of the most rancid smelling things in the Otherworld. All. Over. Her. Usually, because of her gas mask, Kinya couldn't really make out smells...but this...this made her want to vomit. She could only imagine how it smelled to everyone else.

The smell didn't go away away for weeks.

Kinya's grimaced, recalling the event in extreme detail. Even Crysta, who was usually absolutely calm, make a beeline for the bathrooms whenever Kinya came close.

Yes...

Last year was not a good year.

~Professor Xavier Caige~

Xavier listened intently as Geno spoke, and even scrawled down a few notes on the pad of paper next to him as the boy demonstrated. He looked at the gloves as they appeared, and raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"So, what's your evaluation?"

Xavier tapped his pen against his mouth, taking a moment to think and review what he had saw in his head. Of course, there was no doubt in his mind that this boy would be a hand-to-hand combat fighter...but Xavier was curious.

"Are you able to put that...metal, shall I call it? Are you able to encase your entire body in it, almost like a shield?" he asked, genuinely intrigued. He hadn't ever seen an ability like this before. Usually, during personal evaluations like this, he would already be done and heading back towards his room. Heck, he probably wouldn't have even gone to his office with a normal student.

But Geno...seemed different. He had potential.

"Call it metal if you feel like it. I have no scientific term for it." Geno responded as he leaned back in his chair. He listened as he thought back, searching his past for any other convenient uses he had found for his ability. "Encase my body? Yes. It's not even that hard, but I'd rather not demonstrate, it is a bit exhausting. If I concentrate I can even make it in convenient plates that don't restrict my movement, and keep liquid metal at points for extra reinforcement if it becomes necessary." He raised one hand and made smooth, sharp spikes slow rises up out of it, then he raised the other hand quickly, sending less sharp, bulky spikes out of that hand. "With enough time, I can recreate lots of things."

He pursed his lips, and lifted his right hand again, and raised his index finger, and slowly created a key from it. "I can even do this, but I assure you I will not use it for anything.. Illegitimate." Geno was a little worried by what reaction Xavier would have, but he assumed he'd look more trustworthy, showing that he can do this, rather than Xavier realizing that he might be able to do this later.

~Professor Xavier Caige~

"Very interesting..." Xavier mumbled, writing something else down on the notepad. He glanced up to see a key, and then raised an eyebrow, looking him over. With a slight smirk, the teacher said, "Well, I'll make sure not to anything to make you want to mess my room up...though I believe you and trust you won't be a complete menace."

Tearing off the sheet of paper and folding it up, Xavier stuck it into his pocket.

"Well, my evaluation for you is that you will do extremely well in hand-to-hand combat, though I'm sure you already knew that. You do have to be cautious, and I strictly forbid you to use any of your...blood. I could lose my job if you somehow got hurt, alright?"

Standing up, Xavier crossed his arms.

"Now, you probably have one of the strongest powers in my class...there is no doubt you'll do very well. If you try, that is." he sighed, opening the door for Geno.

"I expect a lot from you."

Geno smiled at the comment about messing his room up. "Of course I won't use my blood, I'm no masochist." He liked this teacher. His semi-toughattitude reminded him of one of the few friends he had had while growing up. And on top of that he bolstered his ego with his comment about the strongest power! If he wasn't so in control of his emotion, he might've blushed. He walked through the door and and bowed to the teacher. "I will do my best." and he turned around and started walking toward his other class.

He looked at his watch, and realized he'd spent more time than he'd wanted with Xavier. He bolted towards his dormatory, silently chanting "****, ****, ****, ******* **** ***** **** **** (and on, and on, and on..)" He almost broke the door off it's hinges when he slammed it open, grabbing his backup aviators, before booking it to Meditation and Focus.

Being more than 20 minutes late, he slid to a stop outside the door, and realized that MAYBE he shouldn't slam the door open to "MEDITATION" and "FOCUS" class. He slowly opened the door and pushed up his aviators. He got the attention of a few students, and assumed his regular neutral face. He turned to the teacher. "Excuse me, I was called to a short conversation with Mr. Caige. I hope you don't disapprove.. Mrs.. Or maybe Ms... Sorry.. I tend to be bad with names." He slid a hand through his hair, like he always did when he tried to remember something. "Chime, was it?"

And Veronica did sit. There was no telling what this was. And absolutely no telling what brought it to her. She thought of multiple things, strange vampiric blood disease? The Necrotic lesion spell that only otherworldly witches could perform? There were thousands of thoughts racing through her mind. She then felt the pain again and started to get fearful of what might happen to her. She then thought of the student council. She had to run it beside her president. She had to be there for her students! She had to be there for Lyra. Making sure her big sister was safe. Veronica looked down at her chest only to notice a strange mark appearing on her skin. She looked back up, embarrassed to be looking at her own female chest in front of a teacher. "Miss. I have to confess something.... I'm scared"...

~Professor Giovia Eriwind~

"Miss. I have to confess something...I'm scared..."

Giovia turned around, looking away from her box of instruments. She sighed and walked over to the table to Veronica sat at. She placed a hand on the girl's knee and said, "I know you're scared, Veronica. It's never fun having something happen to you and not having any clue what it is - just stay calm and try to relax, this won't take long."

Walking over to where she was only a moment ago, Giovia opened the doors to a cabinet. Insider were many hospital gowns, all folded and stacked neatly on top of eachother. Sifting through the gowns to find one that would fit the small girl, Giovia came across a...pink one. With butterflies on it. It was the smallest one she had, so she shrugged. It would do.

"Here, can you change into this? It will make to checkup a lot easier." Giovia said, handing the gown to Veronica. The teacher pointed to a door that said, 'Washrooms' on it.

"You can change in there. I'll be out here when you're ready."

Leona smiled somewhat shakily at her teacher. "Th-thank you, Professor... I'm sure it'll be fine... People just tend to make me nervous is all... I'm sorry to be a bother..." The red haired girl took a deep breath in through her nose in an attempt to calm her racing heart. No, this was going to be a good year. She had friends here, and it was still only the first day! No one was going to make fun of her for her constant apologizing or her glitches or anything else (she hoped)... Well, yeah, they might, but Leo would be strong! She could take it! Maybe! Probably not!

Veronica looked to the strange gown and sighed. Oh well. She stated in her mind and took the gown. Veronica then walked over to the washroom and entered inside, closing the door behind her. Locking. Just in case. She then looked at the mirror. Unlike other myths and legends only certain vampire clans were not seen in mirrors, Veronica could see everything about herself. Her hair, her face, her shortness. It was the first time today she had seen herself before she went out to work with Lyra and she could not believe her eyes. Her hair and uniform was a mess! It must have been through all of the work today. She made sure to wash it later on during the day. Then, feeling slightly uncomfortable, Veronica undressed to put on the gown. but while she was slipping on the last sleeve to the gown, she spotted something.

Black.

All around her chest was a strange black and purple marking. It looked as if some one had thrown some sort of purple and black dust on her chest and it seemed to stick. She could see the strange vein-looking things sprouting under her skin. The poor girl was horrified. She knew this is where the pain was coming from. All she could do was see Lyra's face in her mind. whats happening to me? She then saw the whole student body in her mind. She then saw her mother's face in her mind.

Then Veronica did the only thing some one would do in this situation.... Scream.

Calista clapped when Nichole went up and finished her introduction, feeling envy of her ability to be so cheerful and not make any mistakes unlike Calista. Once Nichole took her seat, the loud bell rang and signaled for everyone to go to their next class, packing up the picture she drew of her partner and the books that she laid out earlier to pass the time.

While packing, she didn't notice that her knight in shining armor from earlier had arrived to greet her, jumping slightly out of reflexes. Looking up at Aleksander, the blush came back but she quickly hid it by looking down to the ground,"H-hello Aleksander. I-i'm o-o-okay now." Calista shyly spoke almost in a whisper, her eyes still glued to the ground.

She wasn't used to being friends with other people beside Shinji but Aleksander was nice like Shinji so she was able to befriend him. Throwing her bag over her shoulder, Calista tried to think of what to say to Aleksander, a thought came into mind,"Ah... s-so what class y-you have next, Aleksander?" She asked, curious if they were also gonna be in the same class next but judging from the looks of it, there was a big chance that they wouldn't be together.

------------

Shinji grumbled when the bell rang, putting Kuro back into his stuffy jacket, the cat protesting to be put back into the cramp place. Getting his books together which had nothing to do with class, Shinji got up and walked out the room, not caring that Geno had ditched him to go see Exploding Caige, that lazy bum. Walking into the hallways, he made his way over to Otherworld History where he would be bored out of his mind.

Once he got to the room, he quickly went to the seat near the windows but this time he sat near the back, not wanting for their teacher to see Kuro who was making too much of a fuss over the jacket,"Calm down, fine I'll let you out." Shinji grumbled and opened his jacket to reveal his black shirt along with Kuro. Being able to walk again, Kuro suddenly dashed out the room and left Shinji alone in the room,"Kuro! Dang cat." Shinji called out to the cat, some students surprised that he would yell, terrified by his cries to the cat.

Rolling his eyes, Shinji didn't really mind that Kuro left since the cat could take care of himself. lending back in his chair, Shinji just stared out the window and let Kuro do as he pleased,"Dumb cat... must have missed Geno or something." Shinji guessed since the only reason Kuro would ever do that would be because he had scented a familiar someone or was doing his cat thing.

---------

Kuro, on the other hand, did sense someone he knew but it wasn't Geno. Instead it was a more sweeter scent, a scent that Kuro liked and knew very well of since this person had been with him since he was just a kitten. Dodging the many legs and feets that crowded the halls, Kuro dashed into a room and glanced up to see a tall man along with the person he was looking for.

With swish movement, Kuro jumped onto the desks and jumped onto the girl, a meow while he did it. Calista was his target, Calista squealed surprised to see the black cat,"Kuro!" Calista cried out and hugged the little cat,"What are you doing here?" Calista asked the cat wondering why he was here.

~Professor Giovia Eriwind~

Giovia smiled at the girl as she took the gown and entered the washrooms to change. It wasn't going to be very easy to figure out what was wrong with the girl, since her body didn't work how everyone else's did. Even though Giovia was immortal, her heart was still beating and her body functioned like anyone else's. Giovia picked up one of her tools and started to clean it.

Just then, Giovia heard an ear piercing scream from the washroom, a scream that she of course recognized as Veronica's. There was a faint clang as the metal tool fell out of Giovia's hand and onto the hard floor.

"Veronica?!" she yelled, dashing towards the washroom. She grabbed the doorknob and tried to get inside...locked.

"Damn...! Veronica! Veronica, can you hear me? Unlock the door!" Giovia yelled frantically as she violently shook the doorknob. Giovia didn't wait for a reply before she said, "Veronica, if you don't open the door right now I'm breaking it down!"

The light seemed to fade from her eyes. It all felt as if all was going down. Veronica had lost her balance a bit but tried to stand back up. Her hearing was fuzzy after finding out what was on her chest. She grabbed her head. Everything was spinning. Then eventually Veronica snapped out of it as she heard her teacher yelling from the door and then she stood up. All of her emotions gently pulled on top of her for the day and she couldn't take it anymore. She unlocked and opened the door. Standing there with the gown just showing what was on her chest. She covered herself up slightly to avoid embarrassment and then looked away. She couldn't cry. Not now. Be strong.

Aleksander thought for a moment. That whole transfer shenanigan threw him off. He probably should have asked what class he was being transferred to. Oh well. Aleks had a good nose. He'll just follow the smell of lots of tea.

"I have a class involved with tea. Crysta Chime. That's my professor. I got transferred. Are we in the same class?" He asked, smiling brightly. "Do you want to walk together? If we don't have the same class, I can still walk you to yours. I'm sure I can find mine again."

~Professor Giovia Eriwind~

When the door was unlocked after what seemed like forever, Giovia swung the door open to see Veronica, on the verge of tears and barely covered. There was silence.

Giovia stepped in the bathroom and started to help Veronica finish changing, not bothering to scold her at this time. Giovia was just happy the girl was--

That's when she saw it. The black and purple, grainy looking marks that almost look like a strange bruise, the veins poking out noticeably under it. Giovia drew back her hands, clapping one over her mouth. Veronica didn't mention anything like this, so she must have not known it was there until she was changing. Of course the girl screamed. Giovia would too if she suddenly saw...that on her chest.

This wasn't something psychical, Veronica was right about that. This was something Giovia couldn't take care of by herself.

"Veronica, I don't want to alarm you..." she teacher said it a low voice, placing both hands on the girls shoulders. "...but I need to call Headmistress Weatherstone."

Taking the girl by the hand, which was shaking even worse than before, Giovia lead her out of the washroom and to the sofa. She sat the girl down and said, "I'll just be a minute. Try not to move."

Giovia hurried back out into the classroom, closing the door to her office quietly. She was shocked to see some of her students were still in the class--with a cat?

"Aleksander! Calista! What are you doing in here? Your other classes have started! Shoo! Get out!" she snapped, hurrying the two out of the classroom as she dialed Kinya's number.

"Hello, Kinya? It's Giovia. Can you please come down to my office? It's an emergency." she said in a hushed tone. "Alright, thank you."

Giovia silently slipped back into her office, sighing as she closed the door.

"Ms Weatherstone will be here shortly." she said, kneeling down to pick up the tool she had dropped. "Would you like something to drink, Veronica? Food?"

~Headmistress Kinya Weatherstone~

Kinya was slightly...no, very unsettled by the urgent phone call from Giovia. She grabbed her black coat that was hanging on the rack beside the door, adjusted her mask, and was off within seconds. As she crossed the courtyard to make her way to Healing and Protection 101, she earned many looks. People staring at her gas mask, no doubt. Kinya didn't care...she never did. Students could gossip about her all they wanted, she knew what she was. They couldn't change it.

She just needed to make sure everything was alright.

"Would you like something to drink, Veronica? Food?". She heard this coming from the teacher and responded lowly, "No mam, I don't eat much." She looked away. Covering herself. It wasn't as much as the hurt that was causing her pain but mostly embarrassment. She felt as if she wasn't as strong. She was supposed to be a strong leader beside her best friend but if this thing could happen to her, what was next? Could she die? No. That wasn't something to think about now. She knew of Giovia's power and especially the headmistress. They were going to be able to help her. Nothing could bring her down now. With her heightened senses, she could hear the familiar footsteps of the headmistress making her way now into the hallways. Veronica looked back up to Giovia. "Miss, you don't mind if I ask a favor?" Veronica rubbed her arm to ease her anxiousness. "It would really help if I had a friend here. Do you think maybe Lyra could be here, standing beside me, for when you find a medical treatment for me?" She looked down, wishing she should just have enough strength to get through this now.

~Professor Givovia Eriwind/Headmistress Kinya Weatherstone~

Giovia looked at Veronica, and sighed at her request. Just then, Kinya burst through the door, her face hard. The Headmistress wasn't as gentle as the two female professors, but she sure was smart.

"What's happened?" the Headmistress asked, immediately approaching Veronica and kneeling down beside her. Giovia followed Kinya, saying, "It's her chest, it looks like it's--"

Kinya didn't have to hear any more. She reached forward, and surprisingly, very gently straightened Veronica's arms by her sides. Holding her hands there for just a moment, she said quietly to Veronica, "You'll be fine, okay?"

She carefully pushed the gown down slightly to look at the girls chest, which wasn't difficult since the gown was probably a size too big on her. Kinya's eyes widened, fear clear in them for only a moment.

Before Kinya could continue, Giovia interrupted with, "Veronica wants to know if she can have a friend here with her while we debate what's going on - Lyra Connerson."

Headmistress Weatherstone looked over her shoulder and at Giovia. She stood up and narrowed her eyes, which made her look even more terrifying. Approaching the teacher, she said harshly,"We can't have any of the students finding out about this, I don't care who they are."

Looking back at the terrified girl for only a moment, she pulled Giovia over to the door and away from Veronica.

"I think I might know what's wrong with her." she whispered. "And if any of the students find out, they will panic. We have to keep this quiet. We can't even tell Crysta and Xavier."

~Professor Crysta Chime~

"You are not a bother at all, Leona." Crysta smiled. "I'm happy to help you whenever you need it, alright? Just don't hesitate to ask."

Suddenly, a boy burst into the classroom and approached her.

He doubted himself...he had trouble remembering my name. How cute.

Crysta nodded and said, "Yes, Crysta Chime. Everyone calls me Crysta, though, and so can you! Class is starting soon, so you may get yourself a cup of tea if you wish. There is hot water on the stove, teabags, and everything you might need."

As she finished talking, Crysta began lighting all of her incense. There was some at practically every mat, so it would take some time to get them all lit.

As soon as the teacher told them to leave Blake was already up. Walking out of the hallways Blake wondered around. He honestly did not feel like going to class, there was too much on his mind, the irony being that his next class was meditation and focus. Even if that class would probably help him he couldn’t muster of the will to go. Usually his pride would never allow him to skip a class, especially being secretary and all that, but there was a first for everything. Taking a turn Blake went down a flight a stairs and to the outside. Immediately a blast of warm air hit him and he noticed he was in the courtyard. After Blake blinked his eye a bit trying to get used to the glaring sun he took a seat on one of the benches. Staring at the school building he noticed a classroom that students were filing into, and sitting near the back was Shinji leaning back and absently staring at the window.

Wow...just wow...

Instead of leaving Blake just sat there not staring at the window anymore but at the ground. Reaching into his pocket he got out a piece of gum and started chewing, blowing a bubble every now and again. Chewing gum helped him sort out his thoughts, something Blake really needed to do at the point in time.

Veronica looked at her slightly exposed chest and touched the strange marking. Memories flooded her mind like a soft pond. They were easy to read at first but as she tried to go deeper, the water was cloudy and it was as if a strange entity was throwing rocks into the water. Making it hard to see into her past. Eventually she pulled out of her mind and looked to the headmistress. "Ms. Weatherstone. You must hear me out. Lyra is my best friend. She wouldn't tell! She is the president of the student council. Please." Veronica could feel the tears coming back. If she died too soon then she knew she would never see Lyra again. She wasn't taking any chances and would keep convincing her. Veronica wasn't gonna let the opportunity leave her that easily.

Geno traced the woman with his eyes as she moved around the room, lighting incense. What an interesting teacher, although the soothing tone didn't work on him. He didn't like people who outright showed warmth in that manner. It was kind of creepy. Oh well, she's the teacher, he's gonna have to learn to live with it...

He dismissed the train of thought, and decided to see if there was anyone he recognized in the room, but to no avail. He frowned for a moment, and then realized how stupid it was. He was always the kid staying away from everyone, and now he's enjoying the company of strangers? Wow, what a sudden change in character. Well, at least Shinji and that teacher seemed like alright people. Surely there should be more people like that around. Right?

He looked around again, and immediately felt discouraged. What if he introduced himself to someone annoying? Ugh, this was too much to deal with. He pulled himself back into the dark corner of his soul were he felt the most comfortable, and sat down indian style on the closest mat, with an unusually depressed look on his face. Maybe someone'd talk to him? Eh. Just calm down, it'll be fine.

After a while of quietly watching Professor Chime, Leona decided it would probably be a good idea to go find a mat and sit down before she ended up being the only person standing. She went over to one of the nearby mats and sat down, looking around the room for someone she recognized. Besides the boy she'd sat down next to (he had been in her Basic Combat 101 class, though she hadn't caught his name, if he'd even said it), she didn't couldn't place any of their faces. Sighing slightly, she looked down at the cup she was still holding, though she'd finished the tea, and wondered vaguely what she should do until class began.

Calista felt sad that Aleksander had transferred, her gut feeling was right about it,"Ah.. I'm in Otherworld History with Professor DiFranco." Calista said feeling lonesome that her only friend so far was not in her class now, being transferred to Professor Chime's class which she believed had to do with control over power. Calista wasn't sure why Aleksander was in such a class but she didn't want to be rude and invade his personal space. Holding Kuro in her arms, she gave Aleksander a small smile, trying to hide her disappointment and be at least happy that Aleksander would walk her over to class,"I don't mind." Calista said, accepting his offer unlike how she did with Blake, feeling slightly guilty that she declined Blake's offer to walk her to her dorm.

"Maybe I can make it up to him." Calista thought but then she remembered that they were suppose to be in class, taking Aleksander's hand, she tugged him along gently towards the door,"We have to hurry! What if you be late for class Aleksander?" Calista warned and started to speedwalk towards her class so Aleksander could make it to his class on time. Kuro however have been glaring at Aleksander for a while, his piercing yellow eyes shot daggers at Aleksander's way as if Kuro was jealous of him for getting all of Calista's attention from him.

Kuro only came because he had missed Calista's affection towards him, wanting Calista to baby him some more but it seemed that someone had taken his Calista away. A dark aura coming from Kuro, his eyes changed from glowing hazel to blood red but it was only for a second, his eyes turning back to normal in a flash.

-----------

Shinji had been lost in his own world that he didn't notice that a certain someone had been under his nose, staring at the clouds with a bored look though it was hidden behind his mask, you could easily tell he was pretty much bored out of his mind. Turning away from the window, Shinji laid his head down onto the desk, staring out at the room filled with chattering and lousy people, waiting for the teacher to come. Shinji didn't know much about this teacher but he was sure that his name was something with a "D" and from what he could recall, it was some old guy as expected to be teaching history.

Looking back out the window, Shinji's eyes slowly went down to the courtyard, seeing the trees sway in the gentle wind and some birds flying around. Keeping him occupied, he followed the small birds with his one eye through the opening in his mask, the two flying creatures having some fun in the warm sun and flew past the benches where Shinji almost jumped out of his seat but luckily he didn't. There sitting at one of the benches was the one and only, Mr. Secretary, his blazing red hair couldn't be missed anywhere among the empty courtyard.

Staring at the secretary as he blew a bubble and popping it, Shinji smirked, a plan formed in his mind. Since he was quite bored and the teacher wasn't here yet, Shinji had some time to kill and it didn't matter if he ditched class since he usually did that most of the time. Getting up from his seat, he exited out the room with hesitation and headed off to the courtyard where he would spend his time chatting with Blake, killing time with him.

Stepping into the warm day, he stood there at the front doors, staring at Blake's relaxed form. He found it amusing seeing the guy being so calm for ditching class. Taking off his jacket to reveal now the bandages that covered his arms and neck, Shinji made his way over to Blake and stood next to the bench where Blake sat,"Mr. Secretary ditching class? What a bad secretary you are." Shinji teased and threw his jacket over his shoulder, his headphones blasting some music out loud enough for Blake to hear the disturbing music of what sounded like screaming and loud bangs of instruments playing.

~Headmistress Kinya Weatherstone~

Kinya felt a pang of guilt in her chest as Veronica pleaded with her. She really did WANT to let Lyra come in so Veronica would have a friend with her during this long (and no doubt, terrifying) process. Kinya trusted Lyra. The Headmistress had helped the girl significantly with her campaign during the summer, sort of taking on the mentor role (since she was the President of the Student Council for all four of her years at the Academy), and the two had really gotten to know eachother during the process. So really, if any student were to be let in on this secret, Lyra would probably be the best person. She was Veronica's best friend, after all...

Kinya shook her head. She had to be logical about this situation, not emotional. Besides, Lyra was very easy stimulated. If she were to suddenly find out that her best friend was hosting a
curse of some sort, she would probably go into a state of shock.

Kinya sighed, and walked back over to Veronica. Sitting down beside her, Headmistress Weatherstone explained the situation as gently as she could (which still didn't sound very gentle with her voice being filtered and muffled through her mask), "Veronica. I fully understand you're scared, and you don't want to be alone...but it's for the good of the school, and Lyra, that nobody finds out what's wrong with you. Not until we can fully understand what's happening."

Kinya might've looked cold and unfeeling on the outside, with her bland white hair and mismatching eyes. Her pale skin, sharp outfits, and gas-mask certainly didn't help either...but Kinya really did feel horrible about what was happening. She felt even worse that she was denying Veronica the right to have her best friend right there with her.

"Now...I don't want you to freak out." Kinya said quietly, placing a hand over Veronica's. "...but you are hosting a curse. I won't disguise the truth; it's not good...but I promise you, that I will not rest until I find away to break it. It won't be easy, I won't deny that. These symptoms you're experiencing are only going to get worse...so after your classes and Student Government meetings, you are to meet me and Giovia in this very spot. Every single day. Keep a journal of what you experience, in as much detail as you can. Giovia will give you a pager so you can contact her at any time from wherever you are. We will make sure Liam knows that you might miss his class sometimes..."

Kinya looked back at Giovia, who was already handing the pager to Veronica. Giovia was obviously distressed, and looked as if she might start crying at any more. Kinya was perfectly calm.

"Giovia, there is no doubt in my mind that Crysta will find out...you know how she is. But this is a curse, the blackened aura it gives off could seriously damage her if she tries to find out more about it. Make sure she knows, and that I forbid her from interfering with this."

Turning back to Veronica, Kinya continued, now gently squeezing the girl's hand.

"You are not to tell anyone. No matter how much they ask, no matter how much they bother...even if they threaten you, do not tell them ANYTHING. Do you understand?"

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta giggled slightly, shaking her head at Geno's thoughts about her. Yes, she had been thought of as weird before. Strange, yes. Eccentric, certainly. Never in all of her experience as a teacher had someone ever thought of her as creepy!

Closing her eyes and sitting down on the bamboo mat she was currently lighting the incense for, Crysta decided she would see what was happening around campus.

The first thing the noticed was...Blake Jones. Skipping her class to talk to Shinji...Ara--something-or-other. She smiled slightly. Yes, she could sense a connection between the two very easily.

Going deeper, she could feel Aleksander on his way. She was very cautious, being sure not to pry into his emotions. The last time she did that, she got a splitting headache. The girl with him? Calista. She couldn't make out a last name, but she had a very soothing aura about her.

I'll have to invite her over for a cup of tea sometime.

She let her mind venture into the Healing and Protection classroom. She would see what Giovia was up to - hopefully the two could talk later like she had hoped. Crysta was puzzled, sensing a very dark aura in the room. It wasn't there when Crysta was psychically present when she was escorting Aleks inside. Going deeper, Crysta found herself in Giovia's office. The last thing she saw...was a grinning man, in a black suit. He was bloody and bruised, and his suit was torn and dirty. His grin was not a smile...it was...sinister.

Gasping at the sudden image, Crysta opened her eyes, letting her soul snap back into her own body.

W-what...what was that?

Emma put her blindfold down once she got to history with her fellow friend. Taking a deep breath, she put her hand on the knob and opened the door, walking in and instantly going to the back where she sat down and hoped she wouldnt be noticed. She wasnt the type to sit in the front or the person who liked being called on 24/7
