Eliza shook her head and cried. She curled up into a tight ball. "It's not fair." she whispered.

Peggy hugged her sister tightly. "No, it's not. And I'm so sorry for you."

Eliza hugged Peggy and cried. "I'm carrying his baby. I'm having his baby and he cheated on me." She sobbed harder. "Dad was right. I should never have dated him." But Eliza was still in love with him, and that made it hurt more.

"I love you." Peggy whispered. "I'm here for you. Alexander will pay for his actions."

"Some girl named Maria Reynolds." she said tearfully. Eliza got into her bed and cried into the pillow.

Peggy froze. Maria?! Peggy would have a word with her 'friend' after she got Eliza calmed down. "Oh, Eliza, I'm so sorry."

Eliza curled up and just sobbed. "I can't believe he did this. I just want to sleep."

"Then sleep." Peggy whispered, rubbing Eliza's back softly. "I'll be here whenever you need it."

"I love you too." Peggy said softly. When Eliza was asleep, Peggy immediately stormed over to Maria's house. She had a few words to give her.

Maria was on her front porch again after a beating. Her face was bleeding and she was covered in bruises.

Peggy's heart ached for Maria for a moment. Then she stopped herself. "Maria Reynolds!" Peggy said angrily.

Maria wiped her tears and looked up at Peggy. She saw the anger and was afraid. "What?"

"You slept with my sister's boyfriend!" Peggy shouted. "How could you do that?"

She whimpered. "I was lonely…it was the only way I could think to get anyone to like me."

"Do you realize the paIn you've caused? My sister is in tears right now because of what you did!"

"I didn't want to hurt anyone!" she cried. "I didn't mean to...I just felt so alone." Her brother heard all the yelling and walked out. "Who are you talking to bitch?" he said angrily to Maria.

Peggy was about to reply to Maria when her older brother came out. Peggy, already furious, broke then. She grabbed James by his collar and slammed him into the nearest wall. "You!" She snarled, her fists tightening in his shirt. "You blackmailed Alexander. You are the reason this came out!" Peggy growled. "You are the lowliest dirtbag on this planet. I hope you burn in hell!"

James laughed at her. "Peggy no!" Maria said, worried for her safety. James pushed Peggy back, hard, and slapped Maria. "Get inside whore. I'll deal with you later." "James please don't hurt her! Please, just leave her alone." This earned her a punch in the face.

Peggy lost it. She jumped James, gripping his throat with iron-like strength. "You don't hit her, understand?" Peggy hissed, squeezing tighter. "You don't TOUCH her!"
