"Alexander tell me." she said.
"Because I'm a failure, Eliza!" He said. "I've failed you, I've failed our baby, I've failed myself! I deserve nothing but pain and death!"

"Alexander tell me." she said.
"It doesn't matter how screwed up the secret is, Aaron!" Theodosia said softly. "Unless he was doing something illegal, you shouldn't have used it against him. How can he trust you after this? Didn't you think about the consequences of your actions?" Theodosia walked into the living room, sitting on the couch.
"Because I'm a failure, Eliza!" He said. "I've failed you, I've failed our baby, I've failed myself! I deserve nothing but pain and death!"
Damn this evil mouth! Burr thought. Things just weren't going his way right now. He followed her into the living room and sat next to her. "He'll be able to trust me, Theodosia. I only did it as a response to something he did. I'd never do it again. Ever. But when someone insults people I love, that's where it crosses the line. That's why I did it." He paused. "No, to be truthful, I didn't think about the consequences. I just knew that the secret would be exposed." He muttered.
@Alexander Hamilton
She cupped his face in her hands. "You haven't failed me. You haven't failed baby. You haven't failed Alexander. I love you. You're my only love, and I'll always love you."
"Eliza, you don't understand, I am a failure. Why else would my father abandon me? Why else have I been thrown in the streets time and time again? Why else would everyone but you hate me?" Alexander was in tears.
"Because the world is fucked up Alexander. You are smart and kind and loyal. You have always been there for me and have never strayed away. You are so trustworthy and I love you. Anyone who says otherwise is lying."
Alexander couldn't handle any more then. He ran up to his room and grabbed what he had written. He ran back downstairs. "I'm not an angel, Eliza!" He cried, throwing the papers onto the nearest table. "I make mistakes! I fail! Over and over and over again!"
"Your fight with him was where the retribution for his words ended. This... Blackmailing was below the belt." Theodosia couldn't look at him. "You have to stop him. To fix your mistake."
Alexander felt tears roll down his face. "Eliza. I love you. I love you with all my heart. But that? That is my failure." Alexander whispered. He had to admit to the affair. He didn't have any other choice, really.
She picked up the papers and began to read. Her eyes welled up with tears and she looked at Alexander. "Please tell me this isn't true. Please tell me this is a joke." She was shaking.
Alexander shook his head. "I'm so sorry, Eliza. I'm so so so sorry." Alexander wanted to hug her, to kiss her and make her realize that he still loved her and only her. But he couldn't.
Eliza could practically feel her heart shattering. She fell to her knees and began to sob bitterly. What had she done wrong? What wasn't good enough about her? She hugged herself as she sobbed, knowing that the man she loved had left her. She had never felt more alone. She had thought he would always be by her side and now he hadn't. He had left her when she needed him. She ran to the bathroom and threw up.
"Eliza, wait, I..." Alexander wanted to cry himself. He wouldn't let himself do that. This was his mistake. He had to own up to it. He went to the door of the bathroom. "Eliza, please, talk to me..."
"Nothing, you did nothing wrong!" Alexander said softly. "I messed up. I was weak. Not you. You did nothing wr-" she then ran from his house and Alexander tried to pursue, but he had work in less than thirty minutes now. "I love you..." He whispered after her, before breaking down in tears.
Peggy had gone home from school, singing softly to herself. She saw Eliza go into her room and she frowned. "Eliza?" Peggy asked softly, leaving her own bedroom to knock on Eliza's door. @Paint The Wind
Peggy frowned. "No, I didn't say that." Peggy mumbled. "I said I wanted to be alone."
Peggy froze. "Eliza." she said slowly, opening to door. "Did Alexander cheat on you?" @Paint The Wind
Eliza was kneeling on the ground and hugging herself. She looked up at Peggy and nodded, tears streaming down her face.
Peggy knealt next to her and hugged her. "That son of a whore will pay." Peggy whispered. "I'll kill him, I will. No one hurts my sisters."
