Angelica and Eliza had stayed the entire day at school and suffered through their annoying history class. Unfortunately, Angelica's phone died after her 12th time beating solitaire in history class, so she didn't get Burr's text until after she and Eliza returned from going to the ice cream shop. Angelica could tell Eliza wasn't feeling secure about her relationship, so she tried her best to reassure Eliza and make her feel better. When Angelica got home, she plopped on her bed and plugged her phone in. She thought about all that she said to Maria and hoped it would make the difference. She also thought about Alex.... She realized she missed a couple messages, and found Burr's. Angelica could feel her heart shattering into a million pieces. No it can't be. She thought, running the various excuses through her mind. They could be studying? Alex might be lending her a book? They're just friends? A tear slipped down Angelica's cheek at the last one. She knew they aren't just friends. There was no way they could be just friends. SHe didn't know how to respond. Slowly, she composed a message to Burr. Did they do it? she wrote, dreading the response.
