Fandom Hamilton AU - Additional IC

Hale wagged his tale and panted. He was a dog, a particularly happy dog. He suddenly decided he was hungry and he whined, nibbling on Eliza's shirt.

She kissed his head and carried the puppy home to feed him. She sat at the table and stared at her bandaged arm. She contemplated going into the street and letting a car hit her.

Burr closed his eyes and contemplated the situation for a moment. He was angry at everything. "Theo... We can wait six months and hope that you and the baby survives." He responded, tears still streaming down his face. That's the only thing they had now, anyway. Hope. "Can we do that?" He asked, his voice desperate.

@Alexander Hamilton

"We can... we can do that... right?" Theo looked hopelessly at the doctor. The doctor nodded. "I suggest coming in at least three times a month so we can monitor you, but at this point, you should be able to make six months," the doctor said softly. Theo nodded and sobbed. She was distraught.

When Eliza came back in, Alexander had seemingly disappeared. He left a note saying he'd be back, but didn't say when he'd be back or where he was going. He was going to talk to his social worker, see if there was anything he could do to escape.

Eliza saw the note and just wept. She wanted to call someone who would listen but she didn't have anyone. She was alone, and it hurt. She wanted her sisters with her but they had more important things to do. She just was tired and afraid and alone.

Alexander came home after two hours with a form in his hand. "Hey, Eliza." He said softly, before going into his study.

"Shh... Don't cry." He struggled to force back tears as he stroked Theos hair. "We'll be okay. The baby will be okay. Everything will be fine." He was mostly trying to comfort Theodosia. She needed it more than he did. "I promise." He strained.

"Where did you go? And what's that?" she said softly.

"Talk to an old friend." Alexander said, sitting at his desk. He didn't answer her second question.

"Why is this happening, Aaron? Why?" She wept.

"I..." He stopped for a moment as he chocked back tears. "I don't know." He responded bitterly. "W-when can we leave?" He asked this question in the direction of the doctor. He didn't want to be in that place anymore. Burr wanted to go back to somewhere comfortable. To where he could think about everything in peace.

"Just let me discharge you." the doctor said, leaving the room. Theo was sobbing, coughing heavily as muscus coated her throat. She didn't know what to do. She felt so hopeless.

"I can't take you outside cutie. Let's play inside." She played with a ball and threw it for him.

Hale ran after the ball, grabbed it with his razor-sharp baby teeth, and carried it back to Eliza. He sat at her feet and held the ball up to her.

She smiled at him and took it, tossing it for him again. She had given up on anyone else loving her.

Burr nodded and then stared at Theodosia. He wanted to let it all out right there. He wanted to let out all the anger, all the sadness. But he couldn't. He had to stay strong for Theodosia. "I love you so much." He said again.

Theodosia only cried harder at that. If that was even possible.

Eliza gasped and scooped him up to comfort him.

Hale whined and cuddled against Eliza.

"Please... Stop crying." He said, holding back his own tears once again. He hated seeing her like this. They were both devastated and there was nothing he could do. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I can't do anything for you. I'm so sorry." He muttered. His face was starting to become red.
