Eliza heard Alexander and picked up Hale and walked into the study. "Alexander?"

Alexander had locked the door, and there was no response from within. Just the quietest sobbing, as though someone was trying to hide their sobs.

"Hey Theo?" Burr began softly, looking at Theodosia. "Everything's gonna be alright." He finished, although he said it more to comfort himself. "You know that, right?"

She picked the lock and walked in. "A locked door won't stop me Alexander. Just talk to me."

Alexander sat at his desk, reading a book. Tears splattered onto the pages opened, and it was obvious that Alexander wasn't really reading. He said nothing, he felt that he couldn't say anything to Eliza without her internalizing it.

"Hey Theo?" Burr began softly, looking at Theodosia. "Everything's gonna be alright." He finished, although he said it more to comfort himself. "You know that, right?"

Theodosia had been taken into an examination room. Her blood had been drawn, her body examined, and she'd been thoroughly interviewed. As Burr said this, she smiled and pecked his lips. "I'm going to be okay." Theo consoled him. "I promise."

He tried saying this calmly, but he couldn't. He was worried something really bad had happened. He gave a melancholy smile and kissed Theodosia on the forehead.

The doctor came back into the room. "Theodosia, I'm afraid we need an MRI." The doctor said. Theodosia went pale and nodded. "Oh, okay." She got up when another pain hit her and she doubled over, her eyes squeezing shut.

"I don't care. You need to tell me Alexander. Please."

Alexander shook his head. "I... I just... I feel so empty." Alexander whispered. "Like there's nothing left inside of me."

The doctor came back into the room. "Theodosia, I'm afraid we need an MRI." The doctor said. Theodosia went pale and nodded. "Oh, okay." She got up when another pain hit her and she doubled over, her eyes squeezing shut.

"Alexander I'm taking you to a psychologist. Don't argue."

When Theo came back, she was pale and weak. She sat on the bed and waited, nervous. She looked sadly at Burr. "Hey... no matter what happens, I promise our baby will be fine." She said gently to him.
