There Are Some Other Characters From The Halo Universe That Im Not To Familiar With... So I'll Add In The Ones Im Not Familiar With...(which means I'll let you Choose to be a HALO Character I do not know to much of)
I might get a CS made for this, as I'm desperate for an rp about my favorite video game. Also, if you want some help with information about various things in the Halo universe, I can help with that. I don't know everything about it, but I've learned quite a bit through reading a few Halo books, and I always love to gorge myself on Halo lore. And Spartans and A.I. are the most interesting things ever to me. So if you need help with stuff, send me a message or something. I'll gladly help.
And, yes, Spartan is the code and most used name for the augmented soldiers wearing MJOLNIR powered assault armor, such as John-117 (the Master Chief). There are three, technically four, generations of Spartans: I's, II's, III's, and IV's. Those numbers are used to distinguish between the generations. The first generation is less known (Johnson is technically a Spartan I), and a lot of people don't acknowledge this generation as an actual thing; the second generation is the most well known since that is the generation that the Master Chief is, and what any Spartans are that are shown in Halo CE through 3. There are also II's in Halo 4, but, in all reality, the only Spartan II's shown anywhere besides the opening cut scene was John. The Spartans in Halo Reach are of the third generation (although, I do believe that one of the Spartans on Noble Team was a II if I remember the lore correctly). The spartan that the players get to create are Spartan III's, just like the Spartans that the players got to create in Halo CE through 3 were Spartan II's. Then, lastly, the numerous Spartans shown in Halo 4, and especially at the end, were Spartan IV's, the latest generation. I could go on about how different each generation is from each other, but I won't unless you want me to. Because I will talk your leg off about them if I get the chance.
