Halfway Across the World

Cayden's widened as entered through the gates of the garden. There almost no one else there, save a few couples. The brilliance of the pink petals were what attracted him the most. The pine trees and large forests of his home were beautiful in their own way, but not like this. In his awe, Cayden almost forgot about Kioko.

Almost.

"It must be nice having such a beautiful garden as a backyard." Cayden spoke with a little envy.

Kioko laughed. "It's nice, but sometimes you get a little sad seeing all the couples and yourself all alone." She chuckled, looking at the ground softly.

Cayden took a cherry blossom and ran it through his fingers. The softness of the petal contrasting with the calloused skin of his fingers. For a moment he wasn't sure what to say.

"Well I guess for the first time in forever~, you won't be alone." He half-teased half... something else.

Kioko giggled and smiled at him. "Oh really? Well then Kristof, let's go." she said, taking his hand lightly into hers.

Cayden was a little surprised at how cold Kioko's hands were. "Maybe she does have a frozen heart." Cayden thought to himself with a goofy grin while he walked with Kioko.

Kioko smiled as she walked though the garden, the cherry blossoms floating into her hair as she hummed.

Cayden listened to Kioko's humming as they walked.

"Probably some vocaloid song." He thought.

Cayden was considerably less lucky with the leaves though, getting into his eyes and even his mouth.

Kioko smiled as they reached a small bridge over a stream, and she stopped on the middle of it to look over at the water.

Cayden took this moment to briefly look around, looking for something or perhaps someone. He quickly shifted his attention back to Kioko.

Cayden waited patiently beside Kioko over the water. He thought it was a little strange Kioko was taking all this time, but that was alright. He liked the quiet anyway.

"C'mon, we got the rest of the garden to see." Cayden said.

Cayden made his way towards the center of the garden, the grotto. The grotto was lavishly decorated with all the colors of the rainbow and immaculately tended to by the small army of gardeners present.

Cayden sat down on one of many park benches.

"You know, I've never actually seen any of your art." He said casually.

Kioko smiled. "Well, I don't really have any good ones right now." She said to him, smiling. "I have a few pieces, a few vocaloid, a few of Disney movies."

Caydens ears perked up immediately. "So what does your professor have to say about your disney art?" He asked with a grin.

(Too american? Whats that supposed to mean)

Cayden groaned. "Please don't tell me you draw your disney ships..." he said.

"Especially not Jelsa." he thought.

Kioko smiled. 'Maybe. There might be a few of a certain ice queen and a Winter spirit." She giggled.

Cayden sighed. "At least its better than Frozone and Elsa..." He said.

"Although not by much." he muttered to himself.

Kioko smiled. "Well, I thought about that too, but he is to sassy for her. Elsa totally goes with Jack more."

Cayden scoffed.

"I feel flattered that you choose me out of all people to reveal your inner dork."

Cayden flashed an amused look.

"Wellllll I wouldn't go that far. Sometimes you make even me cringe at the amount of dork you possess." He laughed out.
