Fantasy Guardayen

Greetings

'These beings...are hailing me?' Tempus thought, cancelling his beam but instead snorted gently. He never seen such strange creatures before, let alone being praised by one or even two. But ome thing he disliked was that they called him Great Dragon, not by his real name.

He returned back on all fours, his wings tucked behind his back. The being with the sword placed it on the ground while it kept talking while the other was quaking with fear. The Elemental shook it's head.

"Beings. You shall address me as Tempus Figit, also known as Time Flies." He said as he sat down to closer inspect the unique beings. "I shall not respond to just Great Dragon, since I have my own name. But this is an exception."

"Quaking being, do not fear me. I merely thought you were challenging me with your growl." Tempus continued. (Stomach growling, oh noes.)

"Being with the sword, I find it very honourable of you to assist another of your kind. I will not bring harm but only assistance as well. I can both carry you on my back if you wish."

Incendia shook her head. "I've traveled on foot for three moons for the chance to observe one of the Great Ones." She explained. "Indeed, the travel has been well worth it." More flattery, but it was mostly genuine at the same time. It was slightly unnerving to see such a beast acting so casually, Sarezar shrugged, offered to shake her hand, chuckled. She couldn't help but let out a soft laugh of her own, thinking of such a menacing dragon acting as casually as he was. "I do hope I am not intruding too much, I know some dragons can be very hostile." She appreciated how timid he was being with her, it was a great surprise.

She remembered something that moment, and she pulled the small gemstone she previously hung from her neck out of her cloak. She untied it and returned the stone back to its home in the small pouch beneath her cloak on her waist. Once fastening the string to her neck again, she looked to the dragon next to her. "Might you know where the nearest town is?" She needed to find more mana crystals, she was down to her last two medium crystals, and the gemstones embedded in her armor were nearly drained. She was glad that fight didn't happen, she wouldn't have been at her fullest power.

"Quiet, little one. If you want a full meal you must be quiet." Buras told her. Shortly after saying that, he sees a plant with edible roots, and dug them up to eat. Offering all the roots to Coriana, Buras keeps on the look out for some bigger, tastier meal.

The dragon shakes his head, clueless as to where a town is. "Don't get the wrong idea, I am hostile, but I have limits, and I respect you." He growls, hoping to keep his menacing appearance, not wanting to seem soft, especially with the amount of people that'd probably go after him if they heard of that. "I can't smell anything close enough, so it'd be a long walk for you to find one, if you don't get lost."

Mangetsu nodded slowly, "I understand, Tempus Figit. Thank you for not continuing your attack." She said, slowly inching towards the stranger, eyes always on the named dragon, reaching into a pack she had slung over her back for some food. "Stranger, I offer you food. That is... part of what you need, correct?" She took out some salted rabbit and a few edible herbs she had found while exploring the forest. Once she had placed the food, clothing keeping it from the forest floor, she once more adressed the dragon. "Tempus Figit, I am known as Mangetsu, one who is known as a ninja-for-hire. I apologize once more for surprising you."

"Beings. You shall address me as Tempus Figit, also known as Time Flies. I shall not respond to just Great Dragon, since I have my own name. But this is an exception."

"Very well, Tempus Figit - My name is Enoch, though you may refer to me as whatever you wish." Enoch knelt before the dragon - Tempus, she recalled its name - As a means of showing respect. She pulled her fans from her belt and laid them down before her. She let out a sigh of relief as the effort of holding herself up left her legs.

"Stranger, I offer you food. That is... Part of what you need, correct?"

"Yes! Yes, it is-" Enoch accepted the food she was offered. "I am afraid I do not have much to repay you with... However, if you require my services, I can offer you those." Enoch ate some of the food, trying to keep some etiquette as she did so (She wanted to make a good first impression), and kept the rest on hand for when she would need more later.

Coriana went silent and stared at him with her big pale colored eyes and it seemed a happy look came over her face. She remained quiet and watched him closely as he dug the roots out of the ground. Making a quiet, pleased sound she affectionately rubs her muzzle against his neck and takes them, slipping back to her spot between his wings with them where she grinds the roots up with her little sharp teeth and eats the nutrient rich plant root.

The mage frowned. She acknowledged his aggressive nature again, feeling as she missspoke. Regardless, she needed to find a way to refuse the crystals, at least. "No town...then maybe a volcano? Anywhere with an immense amount of natural heat or fire will work." Of course, reusing crystals didn't restore them to their full potential, but it was better than what she had now. She hoped the dragon could help her, if not she had a long way to go, and she wasn't the most potent with spark magic and the small dagger she carried as a last resort.

Another idea. "Alternatively, I suppose I could roam and hope to run into a local. Sarezar, do you know if I am still in human territory?" She had no idea, but hoped that he did.

Sarezar looks at her skeptically. "You're in elf territory I believe, I think I know where a volcano is, it'll be a while to get there, even if I were to fly you... Why would you need heat, exactly?" He thinks, assuming multiple different reasons, both positive, and negative. "If you really need to get there, hop on and hold on tight." He sighs semi-reluctantly.

The time for war was nearing as the days passed, the human's mercenary-filled army moving towards the elves, who relied on their own hard working soldiers. The scouts and spies were already in the forest, lurking around discovering the enemy's defenses, and some even assassinating important elven members to the fight. The time of war was beckoning, humans and elves, over one petty lie.

(Is it alright if I break one of the rules just for the story, and create a third character, or would that be too much?)

"Elven territory." She repeated it with a grimace on her face. "I hate elves."

She dropped it, though. "I need natural heat, it serves as a direct connection to Inferno, the Element of fire." She explained, reluctant herself to mount the dragon. "Are you sure?" She asked, feeling as if it would degrade the Sarezar in a way to have her ride him through the air. Her uneasiness was surely picked up by him, but she hoped it could be forgotten. She suddenly looks determined, and nods. She slowly climbed onto his back and found an area to grasp tightly. "Thank you for this all, dragon."

Sarezar nods. "Hold on tight, I'm not diving to catch you if you fall off, got it?" He threatens, not meaning that, he just doesn't want to have to waste time if she falls, hoping she listens. "Ready?" He stands, spreading his wings, prepared to take off, having already made plenty of room from collapsing trees.

'There looks like a rather tasty meal.' Buras thought to himself as he saw a larger than average deer. Crouching low to the ground, he closes his eyes to slits and pushes Coriana onto the ground inbetween his front paws. He waited, and kept the youngling quiet, as the deer drew closer, mistaking him for a hill. Suddenly, Buras lunged out and grabbed the deer between his teeth and gave it a violent shake, breaking it's neck. Dropping the deer carcass, he lifts his clawed foot to let Cariana go and began to eat. As the days passed, he would teach her many things. He taught her how to fly, to hunt, to speak, and how to use her breath as a weapon or a shield.

She had grown much and standing nearly twice as tall, she was a little more than four feet high. She was a playful and precocious thing, often play-fighting with his tail. or exploring. A quick learner, she was a natural flyer and was picking up the words he gave her for things easily. The first time she used her breath, she was startled when instead of emitting the crackling bolt of lightning like he did, but a blue curling fire that burned in it's own right and froze a flower that happened to be in it's path.

Angel evidence that she should head to the elf town, since they were preparing for a battle and she feels like helping them. Hopefully the dragons won't be joining, she thought to herself as she walked through the forest, it will get really messy. Angel had brought her weapon with her, knowing that she might meet some unfriendly people along the way.

((Sorry i didn't post. Went out))

Knives entered the elven forests not too long ago. Unsure of his job here given no real goal, he was just skulking around the shadows. Waiting, watching. He couldn't find anyone for the longest time, careful to avoid the elven armies, knowing he would be executed for trespassing. Always the shadows, never the light, as he was tought. Then, something hit him as he looked into an elven lady's eyes passing by.

He never really hated elves, or any race besides orcs for that matter. He never saw a wild dragon, only the ones the humans broke or tamed for war. He didn't view them as a race however, as most humans didn't, more-so beasts. He admired the race of dragons though, always wanting to ride through the skies and be free of the dark he was so use to like the warriors who flew them on a daily basis.

However, that was not going to happen. How could one elf, the enemy, send his mind wandering away. He stepped on a twig in the quietness of this forest and the sound echoed, and he couldn't hide in time to be spotted.

Angel walk through the quiet forest, with her guard down. She was enjoying the nature, the trees surrounding her and the quietness, until suddenly there were a sound of a thing snapped. She stopped walking and took out her dagger, she turned her head to the direction that she heard the noise from. "Who's there?" She asked as she pointed the knife, "you better come out now if you know what's good for you."

He kept quiet. Hoping not to be seen, just in case he reached for his greatsword, knowing elves would not take kind to a human spy. Yet maybe...

He walked out of the shadows, "I mean you no harm." Taking his hand off the greatsword and even offering to put it on the ground.

Angel frowned as she saw a human walked out of the shadows. A human? A human! Great! She thought, lowering her dagger then lift it up again, point at the male human, what if he's a spy? She sook her head, "what are you doing here? Did you not know that this is elven land?" She stepped closer, "did the human king send you here to spy on us?"

"Look, I may have been sent to spy but I don't mean to do harm. Please, I don't want to fight you. They'll kill me if I don't report back..." He sighed, knowing his life had been forced into this, "Unless you can help me?" He said, not wanting to give himself to this spy again, "Then maybe I can help you're war?"

"What can you possibly do to help us?" She asked, looking at him, "and you are a spy, why would I let you live? Maybe I should kill you right now so that human king won't be able to know what we're doing." She took a step closer, "you do know that both of our races are at war, give me a reason why I shouldn't kill you right now."

Mangetsu shook her head. "I am not in need of a blade, I merely wished to help you, stranger." She had no need of someone she would eventually have to pay when she herself was in need of a master. "A good deed requires no reward, in any case. Tempest Figit, stranger, I am known as Mangetsu of Edonia. Rather, may I inquire of where I might find someone in need of my own skills? Hopefully one not likely to order the death of a child." She was tired of being ordered to do that. The last three lords had all asked her to do so, and she had always refused. Just because she was a ninja, known far and wide for their skills in assassination, did not mean it was all she was capable of.

Kevin made a noise in disappointment at not being able to truly fly. He was at the pile of scales now, there truly was enough to make a man happy, for at least most of their life. But that was only a portion of what he was after, he was after something truly rare. "About a companion, what do you have? I came here for a trophy, and if you can give me something truly rare, I just might forget what I came here to slay." He was shifting through the pile with his sword, separating the scales that were in better shape from the ones that were chipped or tarnished. At that moment, he realized that he didn't bring a back back to carry anything. "And a bag, to carry these scales."

"There is none, and I deserve to die for all I've done, so go ahead and kill me. Or, I could give you some information to try and redo my wrongs?" He sighed, hoping to get out of this alive but if he died... It would be alright.

Now the humans outnumbered the elves 2-1 from the hired goons in it for money, the human kingdoms had also called in their allies the dwarvern stronghold west, the elves were being flanked, surrounded on both sides, it would take a miracle for them to pull through, or the right knowledge.
"How about an alibino animal? I have been studying the nature and genome of such a creature, and wondered as to why it's skin pigments have been depleted. They are one in a million. The rarest you could find, and probably worth their weight in gold." Almost finished with her experiments on the thing, she didn't need it. It was a bear, large and ferocious, yet tamed by Elona's magical concoctions, asleep inside it's cage. She reluctantly handed him a bag and emptied it of potions and other such things.
