Birdsie Birdsie Any specifics on Espania and Laurellia? I'm a bit curious about them.
Espania is a country with deserts and badlands to the west and beautiful plains and forests in the center. To its far east, there is a very Mediterranean-ish coast. To clarify, Espania is much bigger and what's visible on the map is a nipple of its true size. Albion is also bigger because it spans through the entire Dark Forest and a bit further where it meets with the rest of the continent. Espania is also the home of one of the most well-known heroes (not guild member, mind you,) ever, whose name was Senor Fred. He's the Espanian version of William Black, but more macho.

Half of Laurellia was once underwater in the Sea of Chaos, but almost five-hundred years ago, the water level fell down drastically in that area and both Albion and Laurellia scattered to get as much ground as possible, with Laurellia getting most of it. Its south has rocky mountains, the center is similar to Albion, and it has its own mystical forests to the east. To the north, it slowly turns into a cold tundra and there's a lot of monsters, orcish tribes, and other creatures out there. The far north of Laurellia is lawless land where people don't really go that often and legends say that Gods or God-like beings live there, but it's probably giants.

Organizations\Affiliations:
Godslayer Race: Izuru hasn't had much contact with others of his race. His parents are dead so he had no reference for the behaviors of his people. When he finally met a tribe of Godslayers in the forest, he was surprised to find they were all women. Needless to say, almost all of the Godslayers who meet him can get quite hands on. Though he does love his grandmother.
Dragonkind: Izuru is close to dragonkind because of his foster mother, Karrell. As he was raised by one of their leaders, many dragons consider him one of their own. Even a few of the grumpier, human hating dragons like Izuru.
Ancient Sages: These ageless women trained Izuru in the forests, he considers them family. They consider him family as well.
Guild of Heroes: Izuru joined so he could go on adventures

Personality: Izuru is a complex individual. Sometimes you can read his intentions like a book. Other times, you have no idea what he'll say or do. He is a nice enough young man who likes to help those in need. Although he also likes to steal cool looking things and get into fights. Izuru is by no means a brute, he is quite intelligent. He just prefers punching something with fire instead of some kind of long incantation. He can be a bit uncomfortable around women, because the other members of his race terrified him so much. Izuru is fond of adventures, friends and magic. His main drawbacks are his lack of self control when it comes to his fights or how secretive he can be. Izuru doesn't want anyone to find out about his race, he'd have to either wipe their memory...or kill them
Backstory: Izuru was born to two Godslayers in the Eastern Provinces, in a town called Naga. As Godslayer blood equals magical power, may desired it. A baron from another land came and stole Izuru's mother, Ichika and Izuru away in the night. Chasing them, Izuru's father, Izaya was cut down right in front of an infant Izuru. On the way back to the Baron's land, the caravan was attacked by dragons. It seems the outlanders had stolen from their nests. Sustaining fatal injuries protecting Izuru, Ichika begged the dragons to save her son. As she died, the matriarch of the dragon clan consumed the bodies of both dead godslayers. Taking a human form, she picked the crying Izuru up and accepted him as her own.

The dragon, known as Karrell would raise the young Godslayer as a dragon. For the first ten years of his life, Izuru assumed he was some kind of wingless dragon. He played in the forests, rivers and mountains that filled what he saw as the world. Many of the older dragons were against Karrell raising what they thought was a HUMAN among them. One of them even threw Izuru off of a cliff once. Izuru survived and the dragon was set to be banished. Izuru got the other young dragons together and begged for the older dragon to stay. The elder dragon was touched by how much Izuru cared for someone who tried to kill him. This dragon, Numinex, took Izuru under his wing. Izuru was the only one who couldn't use magic, which he attributed to his weak breed. Numinex and Karrell drilled Izuru on the matters of combat and draconic magic. It was only when a large boulder threatened to fall on Karrell that Izuru learned to breath fire. Training in the magic of dragons, Izuru learned to consume elemental energy then attack with it. His style was rather crude and awkward because of his humanoid body. Loving the praise his mother was giving him, Izuru dedicated himself to refining his "Dragon King Magic". He called it Dragon King Magic because his friend Gabriella teased that he was a "Hatchling Prince". Eventually he soon wanted more magic, more power, more everything. Karrell knew it was time to let him go. Tearfully spending what could be her last night with her son, Karrell told Izuru about his parents.

Utterly confused and heartbroken about not being a dragon or her son, Izuru ran away. Wandering for a while, he fought with bandits, monsters and even a few knights. Wounded by a mysterious female knight, he was rescued by a woman wielding two spears. Bringing him back to her sisters, Izuru was healed. Upon telling them his story, one of them, Olivia adopted Izuru. While initially suspicious and unsure of Izuru, they all came to appreciate his willingness to learn and excel. Soon all five sisters began instructing Izuru in a different kind of magic and skill. From Olivia, Izuru learned how to sing, dance and perform healing magic. Shizuku taught him proper manners, etiquette and Evasion Magic. Kohaku taught him how to prepare meals and Alchemy. Elise taught him how to hide, hunt and use Sensory Magic. Their leader, Scatha, taught Izuru how to fight and use the powerful Rune Magic. Living with his new family, Izuru hoped to forget who he used to be. However, the memories of his time among dragons haunted him. While hunting with Elise, Izuru met a tribe of Godslayers. They were all survivors of an experiment to breed Godslayer/Human Hybrids who had escaped to the forest to live in peace. Having lived among women all this time, they were surprised at the sight of a boy. One of their shyer girls accidentally cut Izuru. Patching him up, their village elder noticed Izuru's bright red eyes. They were the same shade of red as hers... and her late daughters. Asking for his name, Izuru was surprised to learn the lolibaba in front of him was his maternal grandmother. Upon revealing his lineage to the rest of the tribe, many of them clamored for his attention. Izuru was young and inexperienced in such manners, so he hid behind Elise. Returning to his home, he promised to visit his grandmother. Olivia took Izuru aside and warned him not to become a Lady Killer, he'd never be happy. Not understanding the term, Izuru agreed to not kill ladies.

Now in his mid-teens, Izuru had blossomed into a warrior who wielded great power. Each of his mentors now saw him as their brother, becoming protective of him as a result. Adventuring out on his own from time to time, Izuru saw how manic and strange the human world could be. Izuru also began learning about his culture from his grandmother. He wanted to see more of what the world had to offer, though he also didn't want to leave his new family behind. The five sisters sat him down and told him that he needed to find his own path. Izuru would always be welcome with them though. Travelling back to his homeland, Izuru found Karrell had left her position as Matriarch over the grief of losing Izuru. Her brother, the vile Vexicus was now Patriarch. Vexicus lived by his own wishes, destroying what he couldn't take. The number of hatchlings had gone down because he didn't want to be dethroned. The prey had gone, the rivers had dried up and their clan was getting weaker. Unable to bring Karrell out of her slump, Izuru tried to gather allies to oppose Vexicus. However, all dragons who would oppose him were either coerced or intimidated into silence. Angry at his uncle for all he had done, Izuru challenged him for dominance. Gathering his thirteen closest allies, they tried to jump Izuru. However, he was a master of breaking expectations. One by one, Izuru killed each of them. Until he blinded Vexicus and cut his wings off. Vexicus bled out and Izuru passed leadership back to Karrell. Reconciling with his mother, Izuru once again departed for another adventure.

On his travels he met a friendly tribe of Elves. Staying them for a bit, he learned how to shoot a bow. Their leader fell in love with Izuru, trying to gain his favor. Izuru wasn't about that life, women were crazy critters. Putting her down gently, the Elven Chief still held out for him. While it should have ended there, it turns out that this Elven Chief, Fiana had been promised to the chief of another tribe of Elves. When he came to get married, she rebuffed him. She would only marry Izuru. Izuru was attacked by assassins right there and then. Pushing them back, war broke out between both tribes. Nothing Izuru did or said would sway the minds of either leader. Many Elves were killed, enough that the forest floors ran red with blood for a year. After running back to his sisters for advice, it turns out that the Elves had begun harnessing young dragons to use as war machines. Upon his arrival, Izuru saw the bodies of Elves, Dragons and innocent wildlife scattered across the battlefield. Enraged by this turn of events, Izuru burnt everything down. In his grief, loss and rage, Izuru destroyed everything in sight. Now responsible for the extermination of so many lives, Izuru became a wanderer. He stopped visiting his loved ones again for another year. From settlement to settlement, Izuru wandered with no sense of purpose. He became an Adventurer, taking high risk jobs just so he could feel alive. Nothing worked, he was a monster and a murderer. Izuru had to learn to live with that. Eventually his siblings found him and brought him to his mother. Never giving up on him, they healed his heart. However he still tattooed the emblems of both tribes on his upper right arm, so he'd never forget what he did. Now returning to the life of an Adventurer, Izuru seeks both Adventure and penance.

Weapons & Armor: (Anything that the character uses for protection, or attack during combat.)
Vox Unitas: Forged by a Master Craftsman from a long dead civilization. It assumes different forms based on the mana in the environment. Positivity turns it into the Lance of Longinus which can use light and time based attacks. Negativity turns it into the Arbiters Scythe, which uses shadow and spatial magic. Its regular form is a black longsword which Izuru carries on his back.
Caney: A collapsible staff which can shink into a smaller form. Named Caney because it was the length of a cane when Izuru stole it from a wizard he robbed. Regularly gives it to Sora.
Dragonfang: Naginata supposedly made from a dragons fang. Izuru just bought it from a bear in the forest for some salmon. Sora uses it more than him.
Hikari and Yukari: Twin blades which Izuru can use in a fast and furious fighting style. Regularly gives these to Sakura
Homura: A grenade launcher, stolen from a fire mage in the eastern provinces. Regularly used by Sakura
Sora and Sakura: Twin Spell-Tomes which Izuru was given by Olivia to take care of him. Sora harnesses lunar energy while Sakura uses solar energy. They can assume human forms because of their contract with Olivia. Named Luce and Ombra by Olivia but renamed Sora and Sakura by Izuru.

Assortment of Instruments: For entertaining others

Skills & Abilities: (Not magical. Include things like bartering, or the ability to pickpocket.)
Fighting: Izuru is a proficient fighter even without his magic. From Karrell he learned the basics of punching, kicking and dodging like a Brawler. Under Numinex he learned to use brute force and primal rage like a Beast. From Shizuku, he learned how to evade and lay multiple fast punches in a Rush style. Upon learning from Scatha, she first taught him to attack enemy weaknesses like a Thug. Then he learned to become better at handling weapons, starting by hitting people with Slugger style beat down tactics. Mixing what Olivia taught him about dancing in while toying with a bandit, Izuru developed a style of dance fighting. Finally, after refining everything he knew about unarmed combat, he created his signature Dragon Champion Style. It makes use of heavy hitting, fast movement and targeting weak points. With weapons, Izuru prefers using a sword. It is simply his weapon of preference. He likes its versatility. While he can wield two blades at once, most of the time he uses a single blade. His style is one he made up himself, Scatha taught the basics though she let him go from there. It combines both strong form and graceful fluidity. He copied aspects of it from observing Centaur dueling and Satyr roughhousing. The polearm training he utilizes with both of his weapons alternate forms comes from Scatha's mastery of spearmanship. Its fast, lethal and precise. The added flair in his version comes from his unique personality. When handling a bow, Izuru isn't the BEST at archery. While he can shoot well and skillfully, its obvious he isn't that good.
Stealth: Learning from a Shadow Dragon and a hunter who has lived for over a hundred years has left Izuru with some praiseworthy stealth skills. He can sit in a crowd and completely erase his presence. He knows how to disguise his face, body and even his voice. Blending into the shadows is something that comes naturally to him after honing his talents under Numinex.
Thievery: Izuru likes taking things from people he thinks have enough. He taught himself to pick pockets and open locked doors while working as an Adventurer. Although he rarely pickpockets because in his mind "If its in a pocket... its probably worthless". A lot of the time, he prefers to stake specific places out and draw up plans for breaking and entering. When stealing large things, like the Caladonian Diamond, he shows a cocky side of himself.
Manners: As a result of Shizuku hammering etiquette lessons into him, Izuru can act like a perfect gentleman. He can serve tea, discuss commerce and dance with suitable young ladies. Izuru hates acting like a ponce, so he regularly refrains from using these lessons.
Intuition: There are times when Izuru will instinctively know something is amiss. These times are very rare and as a result Izuru gets into the craziest of adventures because he's kind of dumb
Cooking: Wanting him to be able to take care of himself, Kohaku taught him how to cook. He started by making simple dishes like applying heat to meat. Eventually he was cooking entire feasts for his family. Even dragons who prefer their meat cooked with flame will ask Izuru to work on it because of his skill. He even bakes, regularly trying out new sweet recipes. Izuru likes picking up new cookbooks to try making new food.
Housekeeping: Olivia and Kohaku were appalled at how badly Izuru was at caring for himself. While living with dragons explained his unskillfulness, that didn't excuse it. Hammering lesson after lesson into his head, Izuru became well versed in the housekeeping arts. His house is always tidy and EVERYTHING IS IN ITS PLACE.
Alchemy and Medicine: Izuru learned these disciplines from Kohaku. He knows which herbs will kill you in five seconds and which deadly poison will cure that back pain. Izuru has an entire room in his house dedicated to mixing potions and seeing what they do. Of course he also keeps a large cabinet filled with medical potions just in case someone is hurt.
Knowledge: Izuru is well versed in a variety of topics, mostly things he finds interesting. Like magic, legends, food and beasts. While he shouldn't be the one to turn to when you have a specific problem, he does know a lot of stuff.
Performing: Izuru has a talent for singing, dancing an acting. Skills he cultivated under Olivia's tutelage. He also knows how to play a few key instruments to entertain the people around him. It was he who wrote the legendary play "I Want To Be Thine Songbird"...which bombed at first because everyone thought there was singing in it. They didn't get singing so they hated it.

Spells & Magic:
Dragon King Magic: Allows Izuru to take on the abilities of a dragon by consuming elemental energy. He can then utilize ancient dragon martial artes to attack with the most recently consumed element. Its a natural counter to dragons, allowing him to fight them on equal grounds. Bathing in the blood of dragons can strengthen it, although that corrodes the soul. Izuru can also mix and match elements for short periods of time.

Ancient Rune Magic: Rune Magic is a magic that is said to have come from the Gods. It allows when to do a variety of different spells by channeling and casting specific runes. Rune Magic is essentially a powerful effect based magic. A master of Rune Magic could theoretically reshape aspects of reality with a single rune. Izuru's favorite rune lets him shoots exploding fireballs. Izuru's prefers short burst runes, runes that take a small amount of time to cast. There are 24 Ancient Runes which can be used in a number of different ways.

Healing Magic: The Healing Magic taught to Izuru lets him heal injuries proportionately to the amount of mana he uses. A cut would require a sliver of mana while a broken spine, punctured lung and liquefied esophagus would require as much mana as he had in his arm. Izuru and Olivia prefer using magic which accelerates the bodies natural healing process. Magic that instantly fixes injuries is bound to have side effects down the line. He can also heal himself through a kind of mitotic regeneration. This heals him rather quickly, though also painfully. Izuru has compared its effects to "FIRE...INSIDE MY EVERYTHING!!!"

Evasion Magic: A useful magic taught by Skizuku, Izuru can temporarily increase his speed and agility. He also manifests a weaker version of Shizuku's Precognitive Eye. While it allows Shizuku to evade incoming attacks by predicting their approach, Izuru can only see a few seconds ahead for physical attacks only.

Weaknesses: (Weak sides of a character. Anything that can be exploited to grant victory.)
Mana-Consumption: Although a Godslayer, Izuru possesses magic that wasn't quite made for use by mortal races. Dragon King Magic burns through most of his mana after a single fight. The reason Izuru avoids using it continuously is because of its immense drain. As magic made for and normally used by massive magical creatures like dragons, it makes sense a creature like Izuru having trouble with its drain. Rune Magic can be even more strenuous. As a magic that can reshape aspects of reality, its cost for use can be fatal. Izuru nearly died after using the thurisaz rune at 100% to bring down a massive lightning bolt to destroy a tree. Using his most powerful magic at their full capabilities would kill him, less would let YOU kill him.

One at a Time: Izuru only ever uses one type of magic at a time. If you need healing, someone else will have to defend you all because he needs to focus on Healing Magic. You need explosive fireballs? Well then someone else keep these guys back with Sky Dragon Roars. Using more than one type of magic at a time would overload his body and kill him. Worse, it could kill everyone around him.

Long Incantations: The reason Izuru likes short burst spells is because he's seen mages get tanked because their spells had too many words. Its another reason he doesn't use his Rune Magic to its fullest potential, he'd have to either verbally or mentally recite a long line of runic incantation. Which he would have to focus on entirely, leaving him open to attack.

Distractions: Izuru has the attention span of child most of the time. If its interesting, he'll go look at it. It really doesn't matter if he's on a job which could spell the end of the world if not done right. He once got near-fatally stabbed because he saw a phoenix fly past.

Sporadic Worst Luck Ever: Seriously, its why so many avoid him. He once got hit by a meteor, eaten by a Leviathan and dropped a batch of explosives on a mining town all in the same day. While most of his jobs go well, others lead to a town being destroyed. One time while celebrating a job well done, Izuru kicked a pebble. That pebble knocked over a bigger pebble, which hit a rock. That rock hit a bigger rock, that hit an even bigger rock. After which it let loose a large cluster of boulders which destroyed Mrs Peterson's farm.

FLUFF (Optional)
Hobbies: In his free time, Izuru likes to hang out in his apartment with Sora and Sakura. Sometimes he cooks, studies magic or works on a new project
Quote\s: (Notable things that the character has said, that may show off their personality or speech type.)
"Sorry Mrs Peterson..."
"I'mma go punch that dragon IN THE FACE..... no I'm sure, in the face"
"Well my diagnosis is that you'll be JUST FIIINE"
"I bite my tongue on long incantations"
"Oooh whats that over there?!"
"I think you forget I'm the SON OF A DRAGON!!!"
"Uhhhhh.... sorry?..."
"Wow! Only 2 bronze for this carrot?"
"Sora!!! Sakura!!! Heeeeeelp!!!"
"Being one of the only males in your race isn't cool... it sucks!!!"
Theme: (Musical theme.)
There's a lot of things that are wrong with this. It will take me some time to write it all out, so please, bear with me. I am going to be painfully honest with you.

Godslayer Race: Born from a covenant made with a God of Wisdom. The Godslayer Race was created so that the emergence of Rogue Gods could be stopped. This race is considered legendary by the current era. They possess powerful bodies and magical power. However their reproductive capabilities diminished over time. Not many Godslayers still exist because of this. 95% of the Godslayer Race is Female because Female bodies can better handle the strain of such strenuous power while in the womb.
Here we are. Strike number one. The very idea of a God creating a race of literal Godslayers is laughable.

It was only when a large boulder threatened to fall on Karrell that Izuru learned to breath fire.
The draconic ability to breathe the elements is not a spell. It is magical, supernatural, yes, but it is in no way a "learnable" spell. You can probably replicate it with a spell, but just being raised by dragons won't give you the ability to breathe fire.

Honestly, this entire backstory is incredibly edgy and it feels like poor fanfiction, with all the power the character earned being just given to him "for the lulz." After reading into the third, massive paragraph of backstory, I just skipped forward and read the highlights because the entire thing was bland like last year's snow. When I read the last sentence "Now returning to the life of an Adventurer, Izuru seeks both Adventure and penance," all I could do was roll my eyes and feel a slight cringe crawling up my throat.

His personality is frankly... hard to describe. Bland, is a term I would use, but that's not quite it. What I'm looking for is "mechanical." The way his personality is described makes it look like he can be pretty much anything you want him to be at any moment in time. He's fond of friends and adventures, you say... Who isn't? And he'd kill people over knowing about his race?

See, all this is horrible. But on top of that, while I don't like to assume things, you paint him to be an edgy animu boi with angst problems because of the Japanese name that you for some reason considered necessary to add in this grotesquely mutated pseudo-European setting. The name would have been fine if you included something about him actually having different traditions and customs, which would be an interesting plot point. But no! He needs an anime name, which is why he has an anime name. That part in the backstory about him being from the "Eastern Regions" is just an excuse you threw in for that, rather than a development point you decided to expand upon.

I call that bad writing.

I won't even mention his equipment and abilities. All of that is absolute, stinking, overpowered rubbish. This is a Fantasy setting, not Devil May Cry.

I am sorry to say this all, because you seem like a really nice person and I can appreciate that, but this entire character is very poorly written and for the reasons above, I have to deny it.
