And to add flavor, we could say that the two aren't even using a chess set, but calling out the moves aloud and keeping track of the board in their heads. Accentuating just how brainy the two really are. Headcanon: Aisu was in the chess club before she became class president.

Blindfold chess, or sans voir, is an actual sport~ There are no physical pieces involved, just people relaying their moves to the opponent and mentally keeping track of where the pieces would be. It's one hell of a talent, but not as interesting to look at compared to normal chess

I forget where I saw it the first time, but it was definitely an anime. It would be fun to try with a few friends for sure. I'm sure I'd get a few: "Uh, that can't move there."
