Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

Emmalia was already awake and nuzzled against his cheek. "Shh, shh, it's okay, you're hurt but you're okay, don't move, you'll rip the stitches," she murmured. She pulled away and smiled at him, her eyes still red and her skin still pale like when she was vamped out. There was still a huge pool of blood where she had killed the prisoner.

Callum had grunted as he rested again, trying to look around and recollect his memories on what had happened. Eventually he closed his eyes, breathed out heavily, then looked up at Emmalia. "Wh..." Was all he could get out, his breath escaping him before he could speak. Cal felt as though he couldn't move without losing all the oxygen in his lungs.

Emmalia immediately put a hand on his shoulder and another on his cheek. "Don't move, it's okay. One of the prisoners we released hid in the castle. Last night, he came in and stabbed you. A healer came in time. It's okay, love." The way she moved and her actions in general were reminiscent of a dog nervously following its ailing master - quick movements, looking him over for any more wounds, trying to keep physical contact with him constantly, etc.

Callum breathed heavily as he looked up at Emmalia with wider eyes. It hadn't been a dream. His hand slowly came up to hold her wrist, gently caressing it as he silently stared. He tried giving a smile, which was rather hard to do from all the pain.

That let her know that she was doing right by him. She smiled softly in return, and started softly crooning, "It'll be okay, my love, it's over now, soon you'll be better and everything will be okay," and lightly kissed his cheek between every few words, pouring adoration on him to try to distract from the pain.

Callum smiled a bit wider as she spoke and showered him in kisses. He brought his other hand up to clutch his chest as the pain spiked a bit, but simply brought Emmalia into a deep kiss to try and nullify the feeling.

Emmalia returned the kiss happily, and did her best to keep to his pace. When they broke the kiss, she softly said, "I promise I'll protect you now, love. It won't happen again."

Callum's hand moved from her wrist to her palm and gave it a gentle squeeze. "It's..." He began, obviously having trouble. After a few moments of trying to breathe in more, he finished. "Fine." He then flashed a smile. "...Love."

Considering the situation, just that little bit cheered Emmalia up, and she showed her happiness by squeezing his hand in return. "You're sweet. Just take it easy and I'll help you with anything you need."

Cal nodded his head slowly with a soft smile, then coughed a bit. "Water?" He asked with much difficulty. Cal didn't even feel like he could talk without his chest ripping open again.

Emmalia nodded and was gone in an instant and returned just as quickly, clearly using her vampiric speed recklessly to get him his drink. She sat back and crossed her legs at his side, helping him to drink slowly and in very small amounts.

Cal was almost startled by how fast Emmalia had returned with what he had asked for. Still, he was parched, and was grateful for the drink. Eventually when he was done, Cal leaned back a bit and put a hand over Emmalia's.

Emmalia set the glass of water aside and smiled to him. "I love you." Maybe now he would notice her red eyes and pale skin, her glamor barely holding on.

Callum had been focusing on Emmalia the whole time, her appearance not affecting him. he had realized, however, that she was much less hesitant to help him. he had gotten stabbed, though, and he'd find it odd if she wasn't so caring as of now. Still, she seemed more clingy than usual. "Love." He managed to get out.

Emmalia kissed his forehead and softly said, 'Please rest, I'll see if the healer can't help you any more now that you've had some time to sleep, but for now, relax." She didn't want to leave his side at all, but she could at least find a servant to send to the healer.

Cal nodded his head in response, glad that a healer might be able to help ease some of the pain he was feeling. He gave Emmalia's wrist a gentle squeeze before letting go.

Emmalia kissed his cheek one last tine, then left the bedroom to call to a guard down the hall to fetch the healer - with the distance between them, her eye color couldn't be noticed. Immediately she went back to Callum's side and sat cross-legged next to him, holding his hand until the healer came. Emmalia noticeably tensed when the healer approached, and more so enjoy he actually touched Callum, but she managed to control the urge to keep the healer away, and hid her eyes by not looking right at the healer when he looked at her. The healer explained that a body could only take so much magical healing, but since Callum had rested, the healer fixed his lung enough so that he could at least breathe without pain and speak clearly. Emmalia only relaxed when the healer had left.

Callum was more than grateful for being able to have the simple liberty of breathing without suffering. Although hoarse to try and speak again, he soon realized it had been fixed for the most part and he could speak normally. "Thank you, Emmalia." He said with a gentle smile.

"You're welcome," she chirped quite happily, then held out the rest of his glass of water to help his throat more. Anything that could make him any ounce more comfortable, she would do

Callum took the glass and drank the rest of it, then set it down in the table beside the bed. "Em, is everything alright?" He wasn't sure how to pinpoint what he meant, but it was as if she was vamped and unvamped at the same time.

Emmalia grinned and nodded eagerly. "Everything's fine, now that you're okay." She seemed like the perfect epitome of both being doting and having complete adoration.

"You're welcome. I like taking care end you, anyway." She smiled and leaned in to kiss his lips, then settled down next to him. "I just like being around you, even."

"Likewise, Dearest." Callum smiled softly and returned the kiss, still able to tell he had been wounded a few hours ago from the pressure in his chest. "I'm glad I have you."

"And I'm glad I can be with you." She smiled sweetly again, honestly meaning what she said. At that moment, servant knocked on the door, and Emmalia immediately bristled, moving to a more defensive position over Callum. The servant called through the door that he was there to bring Callum food, and Emmalia instructed him to leave it at the door. She didn't want anyone unnecessary coming into the room.
