Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

Emmalia felt the hug, but couldn't stop staring at the ink on the page. It was like his warmth was distant and indirect. Finally, with a lot of effort, she said, "T-this book....."

"Shhh..." Callum held Emmalia close and hoped his hug would pry her eyes from the book. "Just focus on me, and us, and the lovely warm, spacious bed we have to rest on. You and I can lay down and just rest for as long as we want. Just you and me."

Emmalia looked away from a second, then back down, and started shivering in his arms, but not from fear. After a few moments she managed to say very quietly, "Y-you read this?" For some reason that was both comforting and upsetting. It made her feel violated that these things were written on paper, and the fact that Callum knew in such detail made her uncomfortable, but he now knew exactly what she had gone through.

"What matters is that it helped you, Dear." Callum kissed the top of her head gently. "What's important is that you and I can have meals together, and walk in the sunlight together, and enjoy things together. I love you Emmalia, and I was only trying to help."

Emmalia nodded slowly, then quietly said, "I'm not mad you read it. It's okay. I just -" she shook her head slightly, still staring at the page, and tears started welling in her eyes. "I'm sorry you had to see this," like it was somehow her fault.

"No, Emmalia, you have nothing to be sorry for. If anything I'm sorry I read this without your permission. I just... My curiosity got to the better of me and I went over the top. I found the recipe, and... Well, it worked."

Emmalia nodded slightly and very quietly said, "I'm glad you did it, it's okay. You got the potion. You know what - what happened." She stopped nodding and stared at the page in front of her, her unchanging expression of emotionless beginning to cracked into despair. "I can't believe he wrote it all," she said as the tears started falling.

Callum reached up slowly and turned her chin, making Emmalia face him and look directly into each others eyes. "I've got you, Emmalia. You'll always be safe with me. I promise you that."

Emmalia smiled through the tears and was finally able to drop the book, throwing her arms around him to hug him desperately as she cried. "I love you Callum," she sobbed over and over.

Cal held onto Emmalia as if letting go would cause him to lose her forever. He fell back onto the bed and pulled Emmalia into his lap, holding her tight. "I love you." He whispered in response with everything she said. "I love you and I will always love you."

Em smiled, even though he couldn't see it. It didn't take long for the shock of what she had read to settle some, and the exhaustion of her vampiric side coming out took hold. She fell asleep in his lap with her arms around his neck and her head nestled against his chest.

Callum could tell when her hold on his body loosened a bit as Emmalia fell asleep in his arms. He made sure not to move after this, since Emmalia needed her rest. Callum, too, eventually fell asleep, and hadn't woken up until well into the afternoon of the next day.

Emmalia woke up a bit cold where her skin didn't touch his. She nuzzled against him and yawned, her fangs showing considerably more than usual and glistening in the morning light.

Callum looked up at Emmalia, making sure not too move to fast to disrupt her. He smiled softly at the sight of Emmalia, but suddenly jolted when he saw her fangs. Cal's tiredness made it so he was too disoriented to tell if she was yawning, or attempting to bite him - his natural instincts trying to pull away from her for a second.

Emmalia felt him pull away, and cocked her head to the side adorably. She read the expression on his face as confused and spooked. "What's wrong, Callum?" She had no idea that her fangs were more visible than normal, even when she spoke or smiled, the tips showed a little bit. The glamor wasn't covering them for some reason.

Callum made sure his grip on her was tight so she couldn't advance on him, at least for a few moments. He eventually released his hands and sighed heavily. "Gods, Em. You scared the Hell out of me with your fangs."

Emalia'd Zip eyes widened and she cocked her head to the side again. "My fangs?"She brought her hand up to her mouth, then frowned. "They feel a bit longer than normal, must be near the new moon. But you can actually see them?"

"Yeah, pretty clearly actually." Callum said, calming down from his freight a moment ago. "Do they always do that? Have I just never noticed?"

Em shook her head. "They get longer when I smell blood or I'm really hungry, when I'm vamped, or when it's a new moon, but they've never been excluded from the glamor." She still wasn't fully aware that Callum had seen her without the glamor.

Callum paused a moment to look at her in the eyes. "Em... Why do you use the glamor effect? Is there a specific reason?"

She looked him in the eyes, then nodded a little and looked away. "I look like a vampire without it. The red eyes, the deathly pallor, everything. And even past that, I'd rather you not see me looking like a disgusting monster."

"Em, you could be an elder vampire and I'd still kiss you." He joked with a chuckle. "I for one think you still look beautiful without the glamor spell."

Emmalia paused and our led away a bit. "Y-you've seen me without it?" She blushed bright red. While she was ethereally beautiful without her glamor, all she was ever able to see was the red eyes and fangs, and that was enough to make it all taboo to even think of

"Yes, yesterday." Cal spike softly and brushed some hair from her face. "You're beautiful either way Emmalia, I'm just saying - it's probably not as bad as you think."

Emmalia shook her head. "I don't like acknowledging my vampirism when I can avoid it besides, if people saw, they'd kill me so it doesn't matter anyway." She wasn't mad that he had seen her, but she disagreed with him about her still looking beautiful.
