Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

Callum didn't mind the handhold as they went down and out of the inn. "Would you like me to accompany you on your hunt, or would you prefer to do it alone?"

For once, Em asked, "Please come with." While she was a bit worried that she was annoying him, he had said he was there to help her and share her burdens....

For once, Callum was hoping he could go out without Emmalia to look for the ingredients - But her health and mental stability was more important to him. Plus, he could get them whenever he wanted. "Of course, love."

With his help, Em caught a rabbit and drained it, though she requested privacy for the draining and hid in a small grove while Cal was nearby.

Callum sat on a nearby rock, awaiting Emmalia to finish her meal. Part of him was rather curious just how she acted while she fed - if it was as bad as she said it was. He respected her though, and wouldn't dare dishonor her decision to not let him stay with her.

Em made quick work of the rabbit so she could return to Callum's side sooner. As before, she took his hand in a clingy manner and looked to him for guidance when walking. He was her protection, when she didn't feel strong enough to protect herself.

Callum walked towards the town they were staying at, close to Emmalia and allowing her to cling to him. He almost found it cute how she would hug onto him so close it was almost impeding on his walking. "I love you." He whispered to Emmalia.

"I love you too," she murmured in return, then pressed her head against his shoulder while they walked, until they were back in their room. Once there, she said, "You should get some real food for you now."

Callum nodded his head. "Would you accompany me, or shall I go alone?" He asked. Depending on her answer, he would grab Anders book and search for a few elements to test his theories.

Em stayed silent for a second, then said, "You should go alone. I don't want to watch you eat. I miss real food, and besides, someone might recognize me, we're still in LaFaren lands."

Callum nodded slowly and brought her in for a kiss before separating. He went down to the commons area, got an ale, and drank it in a few seconds before going off to get what he needed. He knew Emmalia would realise he was gone longer than he should be, and hoped if she went looking for where he was, he'd be done with Anders potions.

Emmalia waited patiently for his return, and when she realized that that wasn't happening, she got out of bed and went looking for him. Seeing that he wasn't in the commons, she tracked his scent out and to a random house, getting more nervous with each step she took. Without knocking, she opened the door to the house he was in.

Callum heard the door open behind him and was hoping it wasn't the people who lived here, bringing the guards for a case of which craft. He was much more pleased to see Emmalia in the doorway, especially since he had recently performed the entirety of the list. "Emmalia, please have a seat." He motioned to the chair in the corner of the room.

Uncertain, Em looked from him to the chair and back, then hesitantly walked to the chair and sat down. "Cal, why are you here? What are you doing?"

"I, um..." He took a moment to formulate his thoughts. "I'll tell you everything afterwards. I found some interisting things recently - one of them being a cure for vampirism. I followed the instructions to the letter - and I was wondering if you wanted to try it. You don't have to, but I figured there wasn't a point in not trying."

Em looked at him in confusion, then said, "There's no cure... but if there was...." She trailed off in though. There was no doubt that she wanted to be human again. But suddenly the disadvantages outweighed the advantages. "You're immortal now. If I get cured, I won't be." She looked him in the eyes, hoping he had an answer for her.

"Simple - we just turn you into a vampire again and it'll be like nothing happened. Don't worry, I'll try and make sure it's as easy as possible if that happens." He assured her. "Like I said, you don't have to if you don't want to."

"I mean, I want to be cured, but I want to live with you forever. I don't want to risk losing that. What if that potion just kills me? A metaphorical cure for vampirism? I don't know where you got the recipe." Em was still hesitant about it.

Callum was beginning to doubt it himself - but Ander wouldn't lie to himself in his own notes. He said it was mostly a success - didn't kill the host, didn't take away all of its supernatural powers - it was more of a partial cure than anything. "I'll call in a favor with Death. I'll save a million souls just to have you back."

In a final act of resistance, she said, "What if it cures me, makes me human? We'd just have to get me bit again anyway so I can live with you, and then there's a risk the bite will kill me on top of everything."

"Loops back to me calling in a favor with Death." He said, glad he had an answer to all her questions. "The verdict is up to you. We can try it or not. I just want you to not feel alienated from the things I can do and the things you can do."

Em looked up at him in thought. If it fully cured her, she'd have to get bitten again soon so she wouldn't age. But she would have a bit of time where she could eat like a normal person. Slowly, she nodded.

Callum nodded at the same pace as she did. He reached over, grabbed the bottle with a luminescent green liquid inside, and handed it over. "Hope it doesn't taste too bad." Callum said in hopes of raising the mood a bit. "Make sure to drink all of it."

Em took the bottle and looked at it for a minute, then uncorked it and drank it quickly, so she wouldn't stop herself. Once the bottle was empty, the shook her head and set down the empty bottle. "What now?"

"I'm... Not sure." Callum spoke, expecting instantaneous results. "I suppose we wait until something happens that involves vampirism."
