Callum smiled softly and kissed her head gently. "I love you too, Em." He said, and decided that taking a nap wasn't too bad of an idea. So, he got comfy with her and soon fell asleep.

The next time Emmalia woke, it was early morning. She looks at Callum, who was still asleep, and on some impulse leaned in to kiss his lips slowly, then gently kiss all over his face. Why she wanted him awake, she didn't know, but it seemed like a good idea at that moment.

Callum had slowly woken up to the kisses Emmalia was leaving on him. Part of him wanted to question her on it, but he didn't complain. Soon, he kissed her back before holding her away with a chuckle. "What's all this for?"

Em smiled and kissed him one last time. "I dunno, I just wanted to kiss you, and now that you're awake we can talk or whatever." Clearly she wasn't at her most verbose. Gaining his attention seemed to be her sole goal.

Callum smiled back at her. "Well, I'd love to talk. Or whatever." He chuckled and kissed her head. He enjoyed seeing Emmalia so giddy to talk to him and want to be in his company.

"You're sweet," she commented, before getting to a conversation topic of, "I took down a whole deer last night, Cal. I mean I know it's bad that I did because I can't drain the whole thing and I shouldn't have killed it if I wanted some, but I actually managed to catch it on my own!"

Callum raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Good job!" He said, rather questionable but still in full support. "I'm proud of you, Em. Good job." He gave her hand a light squeeze.

Em smiled widely. "I know I shouldn't have, but I did. It wasn't too hard, either. What did you eat last night?" To be polite, she brought the conversation more to him, but still revolving around food.

I had a few cuts of chicken, with as much ale as I could get." Cal chuckled. It was true, most of his dinner wasn't even the food - he had tried to get drunk enough to mask the pain in his chest. It worked well, but the effects were wearing off a bit.

"Ale? Ale is good when it's made right. Was it nice here? If they have nice Ale they have nice wine. Maybe. I'd like nice wine." Em was just speaking as she thought, which mostly followed the lines of food, drink, and cuddles.

Callum couldn't hide his smile as Emmalia spoke everything that was on her mind. "Yes, it was fantastic ale. We can get you a few sips of wine if you'd like, but not too much, okay?"

"Okay. But why not too much? I'm okay with it, but why?" She cocked her head to the side cutely and looked at him with big eyes.

"Because I think you should take it in moderation. You're... a bit more delicate now than you were before, I think you should take it easy for a bit." He smiled softly and kissed her head.

"'M not delicate. 'M fine." She paused for a few moments, lost in thought, then quickly added, "Well I guess I'm delicate with you, I act like a lady, but you know what I mean. I like being so nice and happy around you. But I'm not delicate physically." Continuing her train of though, she laid down with her head resting lightly on his shoulder. "I'm a vampire, I don't break. I can, but I don't. You can, but you just can't die. How are those breaks by the way?"

"Oooh." He said. "Well, they're still a bit painful. I think some more ale could help me out a bit though." Callum said, thinking out loud.

"Oh, you want me to bring some up for you? I'll get some wine for me too, how's that? And you need food, since it's breakfast time. I'll get it for you." Without hesitatiom, she got out of the bed and pulled on her boots. "What do you want me to get for food? Cold meats? A pastry?"

Callum was trying to not only take in what she had already said, but keep up with what she was currently asking. After a moment of confused silence, he replied, "A pastry would be fine, thank you."

"Alright, just give me a minute!" Emmalia went downstairs and made the food order, and soon returned with a pastry, a large flagon of ale, and a glass of red wine. "Here you go!" She carefully sat in the bed next to him, set her wine down on the side table, and held out his food to him.

Callum had barely gotten into a comfortable position when Emmalia came in. She startled him a bit, especially when he saw she already had the food and drink. "Well... Thank you, Em." He smiled and took the food and drink, rewarding her with a gentle kiss.

A kiss and his company was the perfect reward. She settled down beside him and sat cross legged, sipping at her wine. "The wine is pretty good. Sweet yet earthy. I like it." Remembering what he said about moderation, she only took small sips to make sure she would spread the amount of alcohol over time. "Do you want to leave today to get to Farfend for the festival, or tomorrow? It depends on how you feel."

"Well," Callum began as he started eating. "I believe I can make it today, but only if you really want to go." He smiled, knowing she'd either get super protective over him, or get excited for Farfend.

"I really, really want to go, but I also really, really don't want you hurting yourself. It's a three day fair, it's okay if we miss one day, and we may not be late even if we don't leave until tomorrow." Em was still all smiley and happy about anything and everything.

Callum was still feeling the pain even after a few sips of ale, but Emmalia's chipper mood made up for it. "Well if you don't mind, we could just stay here for the day then."
