Callum leaned in to kiss her again, this time passionately on her lips. When he pulled away, he responded with, "I love you too, for as long as I'm dead."

Em grinned and chuckled. "I feel the same, lover." Especially since he was guaranteed to be dead for eternity. An eternity of love? That sounded good to her.

Callum smiled down at her, glad he was with the person he was destined to be with for as long as they could suspect. "We should just find a nice little cottage in the woods and stay there forever. No intruders, no one else, just us."

Em smirked. "Callum, you know how we are. We would get bored far too quickly. It would be a lovely vacation spot, though."

"Well any time we get bored we can just... spice it up." Cullum chuckled lightly, leaning back against the seat. "I'm sure we'd both be fans of that."

"Says who? I can do it. Do you think you can't do it? 'Cause I can do it." Callum smiled at the kiss, laying back a bit.

"Ah, but couldn't that eventually get boring?" She sighed and rested her head on his shoulder. "We're just too interesting for a cabin lifestyle, my love."

"I suppose you're right." He sighed softly. The silence remained for a bit as Callum thought of something to say with a grin on his face, and decided a build up of silence would make it seem like he'd say something serious. Finally, he whispered, "It'd be fun for at least a month though, admit it."

"I didn't, but I'm glad you think so." Callum grinned, giving her a quick kiss. "I'm sure you're comfortable too, but I'd hate to crush you under my weight."

Callum didn't argue, his arms around Emmalia's waist as he closed his eyes. "One kiss before?" He asked, not opening his eyes and just hoping she would.

Em didn't answer, she simply gave him a gentle, loving kiss, then settled down with her face in the crook of his neck so she could sleep.

The carriage ride was a long one. They stayed at an inn a few of the nights for their own comfort. By the time they got back to the castle, both of them were almost completely recovered from their ordeal with the Order.

Callum was lazily staring up at the top of the carriage, even though he knew they were approaching the castle. It's not like it was going anywhere. Although he admitted he probably should have when he realized the gate was open, and a few carriages and horses were inside the main courtyard. Callum quickly got his things together and drew his sword. "Stay in the carriage." He told Emmalia. He hesitated for a moment, remembering last time he told her that. He'd make sure not to let that happen again.

Emmalia immediately started pulling on her armor and pulled out her shortsword. "Callum, are you certain that's wise?" She knew he was thinking of the same thing as her - last time, the Order had kidnapped them both.

Callum wasn't sure what to do. He didn't want Emmalia to fight, even if she had mostly recovered. He also didn't want to leave her in the carriage alone. After a moment he decided. "Stay with me until I can find you a safe place to hide until I've found Camilla. Okay?" Callum didn't seem to want to give Em an option, but hoped she'd go with his plan.
