"You will, just not for too long." Callum offered. The thought of somehow being split up from Em and having her captured and tortured again frightened him, to the point that it was almost unbearable to think about. Callum led the way into the castle, going in through an open door that eventually wound its way into the maids kitchen.

Em followed, alert at all times. The castle was eerily silent, even more so than when Balder had invaded. She whispered, "Where are the servants...?"

"Hepfully locked up somewhere." Callum replied, not daring to think about them being executed. He continued on until they entered a hall with rooms on either side. "Come on, you can hide in one of these, and I'll come back to get you when it's clear."

"Emmalia please... Not right now." Callum put his hands on her shoulders, looking into her eyes. "I will not be the husband that let's his wife be taken and tortured twice. Please, Just do this. For me."

A look of relief washed over Callum. He leaned in and gave Emmalia a passionate kiss, letting go a moment later. "I'll come back for you soon. Stay hidden and stay alert. I love you." Callum stared into her eyes for a while longer before pulling away and heading down the corridor.

Emmalia watched him walk away, then went into one of the rooms. She didn't want to stay there, and she didn't want to stay away from the fight, but she didn't need Callum being distracted by her.

Callum wondered around the castle with his sword drawn. He planned on killing every last person in his castle who would attempt to fight him, and give no mercy. Callum eventually found a patrol of three men of the Order, who began to clash swords with him after a brief moment of realization.

In the room, Em heard something. It sounded like muffled screams. She drew her shortsword and slowly, silently walked towards the door at the back of the room - she had assumed it was locked, but it was locked from her side. She quickly opened the door, hoping to surprise whoever was on the other side.

On the other side of the door were three Order soldiers, huddled around a single woman who was very obviously in the middle of being interrogated. Once one of them realized Emmalia was there, two of them jumped back and held out their weapons, with the third bringing a silver knife to Camilla's throat. "Don't come any closer!"

Em carefully assessed the situation, and didn't move, but she didn't put her weapons away either. She was willing to bet they knew she had slaughtered a large number of their comrades. "Boys, you're being awful rude to my sister-in-law."

The guards all exchanged looks before reinforcing their own stances. "Go fetch backup," The leader told one of the others, who hastily exited the room. He still held a blade to Camilla's throat. "I'm sure we'll all get a promotion for capturing not just two vampires, but the bitch that's been slaughtering us like a monster. Can't wait to see what they'll do to you... What we will do to you."
Camilla struggled against the man, who didn't budge. "Run, now!" Camilla said, kicking her feet around helplessly.

Em smiled coldly. She was grateful for her days as an actress. "You dont even know how to hunt vampires properly. I could give you guys a few pointers, some time. Except that you tortured me and my husband, so, not too sure I'm willing to help." She leaned against the doorfrane and said, "What makes you think I can't kill you all now? If I'm as much of a monster as you say, why would I care if Camilla is hurt?"

The one remaining guard held out his sword. "Silver, bitch. We know you handle it worse than other vampires. Wherever your husband is, we'll take him too. There's no way you can take on us all when the reinforcements get here. Come willingly and we might give you a hot meal before interrogating you."

Em rolled her eyes. "Shiny sword, so what? Mine's silver too. You have to actually hit me with it, first." She was stalling to find time for Callum to get back. "Look, let Camilla go free and I might give you a chance to catch me."

The two men looked at each other for a moment, taking time to think before the one holding Camilla answered. "Bind her arms." He spoke to the other man, who pulled it from his pack. "Turn around and drop your weapon." Quiet thuds and clanks of swords could be heard a few doors down. "Make it quick!"

Em shrugged and held up her sword defensively. "You haven't told me why I should. I want to see you let Camilla go. But if i were you, I'd drop your weapons and surrender now - I hear my husband coming, and i doubt he'll take kindly to your very existence."

"As if he or any of you could take on an army of the Order. There's more of us in this castle than you could count." The man pressed the silver blade to Camilla's throat, burning her slightly.

Em frowned and said, "I think you're bluffing about the number in the castle. But here." Em dropped her shortsword. "Drop the knife."

"Not until you're binded." The man said, pulling the knife away a bit. The man approached and turned her around forcefully, tying her hands with the rope. "We'll leave the whore. Come back for her later." The other guard threw Camilla to the ground and began to drag Emmalia away, as the commotion in the other hallway ended.

Em knew that if Callum saw her captured, he's never left her fight with him again. So, as the guards escorted her away, she decided to make it difficult for them. When their hands were on her shoulder, she would pretend she was going to bite them, and when they held her hands, she would bring her hands toward her mouth, again pretending to try to bite them.

The guards had trouble escorting her put while she was pretending to bite them the entire time. Eventually, Callum came into the room, splattered with blood. He took a moment to understand what was going on, and when he noticed Emmalia being taken, he didn't even think to check if they were the Order or not. He instantly stepped forward and cut a man's arm off before he could let go of Em and draw his sword. He grabbed Em's side and wrenched her from the other guard, keeping her back behind him. A set of soldiers came around the corner, roughly 10, but Callum didn't falter. He held his sword out and asked, "Are you okay?" His voice sounded as if he had no idea he was facing a hallway of enemies. His sole focus was on her for that moment.
