Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

Callum had needed the stress relief, and it was possibly only from Emmalia's care that he was even able to relax at all. Once they were finished, they went back to their room and laid out on the bed. "You're too nice to me." Callum told her quietly. "I don't deserve the care you give me."

"That's not true, love, you take amazing care of me all the time. You're wonderful." She kissed his cheek and pulled up the blankets, hopeing he wouldn't beat himself up too much.

Callum held onto the blankets and looked over at Emmalia. "You'll sleep with me right? I want you to stay with me, at least until I fall asleep."

Em nodded and pulled him into her arms. "I'm here for you, love, and I'll stay here while you sleep." Of course this was no burden on her, but she was getting terribly hungry, which meant her instincts were coming forward. She forced herself to ignore that, and just cuddled Callum. Especially since he normally wouldn't ask in this way.

Callum kissed Emmalia's cheek, thankful she would stay by his side. He closed his eyes and got comfortable, nervously fumbling his fingers under the blanket, which he started doing ever since he lost his finger. Eventually he fell asleep though, resting soundly.

Em kissed the top of his head gently and settled in beside him, forcing herself to get comfortable despite being so hungry. She needed to take care of him, after all.

When Callum woke up a few hours later, he kept his eyes closed to try and fall back asleep. When it was evident that he wasn't, he sat up slowly and looked at Em. "Are you awake?" He whispered, not wanting to disturb her if she wasn't.

Em had stayed awake just for him, but also becausw she was so hungry she had trouble trying to sleep. She showed him a slight smile and said, "Yes love. What do you need?"

Callum noticed almost instantly figured that Emmalia was either tired or hungry once his senses came back to him. He paused for a moment and realized he had forced her to stay by his side while he slept, so she couldn't go out to eat. He suddenly had a feeling of guilt wash over him before he asked. "I hope you didn't remain st my side even if you were starving."

Em said softly, "Cal, you didnt keep me, I wanted to be by your side. Besides, Im... Well, I dont think I can make myself go into the forests anymore, not this soon after everything, especially since that guy was found in the woods."

Callum nodded slowly. Part of him wanted Emmalia to go hunting so they could get her something to eat. She was right though, they still had no clue how many of them could be out there. Slowly, he looked down at his hands, then pulled up his sleeve, offering his arm to Emmalia without a word.

Em stared at his arm, then looked him in the eyes. "Cal, I couldn't accept that, I've bitten you twice already. And then I'll want human blood more anyway, and...." Was it that bad? He wouldnt die, so her humanity wouldnt be lost at all, and she would be stronger which, since she was healing she did kind of need.

Callum held his hand where it was, looking down at her without expression. He wanted Emmalia to be as healthy as she could be, but didn't want her to get hooked on humans blood. So, he decided to let Emmalia make the final decision.

Em hesitated, then reached out and took his wrist. Again she hesitated, and asked, "Cal, are you sure?" She knew she wanted it - her instincts wanted it, yes, but it made sense logically too.

"I'm positive. Anything for my wife." Callum said, urging her to take the bite he was dreading. He was still afraid it would have a negative impact on one of them, but he had spent the past years putting Emmalia first - and he wasn't about to stop now.

Em slowly nodded, then leaned in, closed her eyes, and bit him. It wasn't very painful, just a pinch. Of course, her glamor fell, but she ignored that as best she could. Em tried not to enjoy the taste and warmth of fresh human blood. She desperately wanted to hate it. But it was just so good. Still, when she had drunk just barely enough to sate her, she lulled away and grabbed some bandaging from the bedside table, pressing it over the bite mark to stop the bleeding. Her glamor resumed, and she quietly said, "Thank you, love."

Callum barely winced when he was bit. It was.less painful than he thought it would be, especially since he assumed she'd completely go feral on him after a taste. Luckily she didn't, and she pulled away after a moment. "Anything for you, my love." Callum said quietly and rolled down his sleeve.

"You're too good to me," Em said softly. She kissed his cheek, then pulled him close again. "You okay? We can rest more, it's okay." She was still worried with him - she was able to taste the trace amounts of poison in his blood.

"I'll be fine. I need to get things done anyway. I still have some things to catch up on." Callum said as he sat up slowly, looking back at Emmalia. "Please, rest though. You need it."

"Yes, why?" He asked as he slowly stood and got dressed for the day, although he didn't bother putting on armor. "All you need to worry about it hoe comfortable you are in that very spot."

Em forced herself out of bed and said, "There's a nice couch in your office. I'm gonna sleep there." Just being in the room with him was good enough for her.

Callum wanted to find a reason to tell her no, since he'd not only end up spending most of his time making sure she wasn't having a nightmare, but he would rather her be in his company than not. "Alright. But make sure you get dressed, I may have advisers stopping in every now and then." He smiled softly.

Em smirked. "I'm already dressed. Not nicely, but I'm dressed." However, she did get changed into one of his shirts so it was loose and comfortable, and wore an old pair of her own pants. She held his hand as they walked to his office, then settled down on the couch.

Callum sat in his chair, smiling over at Emmalia as she laid out on the couch. "Would you like a servant to bring you a blanket or something?" He suggested as he shuffled a set of freshly arrived letters, all mostly complaints about things that weren't in his control anyway.
