Once the guard was gone, Em moved in front of Callum so he couldnt follow. "Cal, you can't torture him. We're better than them and we have to prove it. Trust me, I know what its like to want revenge. But don't go through with this, love. Please, you're not a hateful or violent man and I know it."

"Emmalia, of all people I'd think you'd want this just as much as I do." Callum said, his expression hardening. "What if there's more out there, hiding? Waiting for us? How will you eat? We need information, and I plan on getting it from him." Callum began to walk past Emmalia.

Emmalia moved in front of him again and took his hands. "Callum. I understand why you want to do this but torture isn't something okay. Don't stoop to their level. It wont help you or me heal."

Callum wasn't one to enjoy being told he can't do something, but part or him knew Emmalia was right. Still, he couldn't shake the thought if payback from his mind. "Emmalia, we're at war with them. We can't have them out doing us because we simply refuse to do things they will."

Emmalia softly said, "Callum, please. There's nothing good about torture." Maybe they could compromise. "Look, find out if there are more, but don't torture him for fun, please."

Callum didn't seem satisfied with the proposed deal, but knew he'd end up starting on a path not unlike his father's. "Alright, alright." He said, looking Emmalia in the eyes, not moving for a moment.

Em smiled slightly and leaned in to kiss him lightly on the lips. "Thank you, love." She took his hand and walked with him toward the torture chamber, planning in keeping him from doing anything too drastic.

Callum smiled softly, enjoying the feel of Emmalia's lips before beginning to walk to their dungeon. Once there, Callum said, "I'll give you one chance to tell me where your friends are before I start pulling teeth."

The man laughed and spat at Callum's feet. "I ain't talking to a traitor. Marrying and protecting a beast like her? And you fucking know I'm right, too."

Em looked at the man for a bit. She recognized him - he was one of the men who had taken her West.

Callum sighed heavily, but a smirk was evident on his face as he grabbed a chisel and hammer, walking up to the prisoner. He first put the contraption into his mouth to keep it open wide, then placed the chisel against the part of his tooth where it met his gums, and began to hammer off a tooth.

EM watched the proceedings, not liking the sound it made. After the one tooth was gone, she said, "Let's see if he'll talk now," though she mostly just said that because she wanted Callum to stop. But to opposed him directly in front of the prisoner would ruin any chance they had. Maybe they could play good cop bad cop though...?

Callum watched as the tooth bent and eventually cracked out of place, setting aside the tools as he looked down at the prisoner. "You've got quite a lot of things left for me to pull off before I kill you. Speak up before you have to go through anymore."

The man spat blood at Callum. "You can take out all my teeth and rip out my innards, I still won't tell one of you creatures anything."

Em looked at the man, then said, "Y'know, I remember you. You were the one who noticed when I had cut the bonds on my wrist. But really, could you blame me for just wanting freedom?" She shrugged, then said, "I've killed more vampires in my time than you have, I'm sure. More of most dark beasts, I'd guess." She took a deep breath and sighed. "Your group simply isn't as effective as you think it is. I mean, if death has to send a demon hunter and a reaper, well... you boys aren't particularly useful, are you?"

Callum looked through their various torture devices, wondering what to use next. Emmalia would make sure he didn't do anything too drastic, but it would make them look weak if Cal wasn't allowed to even pick his own methods. So, he settled on a thick metal bar, and aimed it for the man's kneecaps. "We just wanna know where your friends are." Callum said, holding the bar back, ready to swing if he didn't comply.

"You mean the men that monstrosity massacred?! She hardly left recognizable corpses. It's beastly vampires like her that are the reason we fight." The man seemed angry now.

"You're the ones who came after us. You hurt me, and my wife. I will not tolerate that." Callum held the bar back and swung at the man's knee, no doubt shattering it. When the noise echoed throughout the room, he said, "Last chance."

The man growled in pain, but refused to scream. He finally said, "Go on, kill me and feed me to that beast you call a wife, it'll save all of us time."

Callum's hands gripped the bar tight at his comment. What he said about Emmalia made him snap - and in an instant, Callum found himself in a blind rage, beating the prisoner's head in with the blunt weapon. The blood splattered over Callum as he ruthlessly ended the man's life.

Emmalia was horrified, and instantly jumped in to keep Cal from hurting himself. They were both still recovering, after all, and this blind rage could not possibly be good for him. "Cal! Cal, stop, he's dead!"

Callum tried his best to keep hitting the man's head, which was no more than a soup of blood and bone. Once it was evident that Emmalia overpowered him after he used all of his on the corpse, Cal dropped the rod and collapsed against the table behind him, staring down at the blood on his hands.

Em quickly moved to help support Callum and bring him back to himself. There was blood everywhere, especially on him, but trace amounts had even gotten on her. "Cal, it's okay, just breathe." She took his hands in hers in the hopes he would stop staring.

Callum didn't seem to notice Emmalia had taken his hands for a few seconds. When he did though, he looked into her eyes and held them there, without blinking, until his wits caught up with him. "I'm... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... He just - nobody insults my wife like that."

"Ahh, its okay. I understand why you did it and I appreciate you defending me. Now, lets go get you some rest, quickly." She also needed to get out of the room. She was practically on a starvation diet and hadnt gotten to go hunt, and now there was pools of blood everywhere.

Callum nodded his head slowly and left the room with Emmalia. He informed a servant of the mess and told someone to clean it soon on their way back. Still focused on the blood on his hands, Cal said, "I need to draw a bath, I can't stand the smell. Will you accompany me?"

"Of course," she said quietly and guided him to their private bath. She helped him undressed, then undressed herself, and slowly guided him into the tub of hot water.
