Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

Cal saw the chance that Emmalia gave him, and quickly closed the distance to the mage. He then sunk his blade into the man's chest, and held it there, hoping to cause him as much pain as possible. He then held the mage up by the sword, and pushed him off of it, to watch his body fall to the ground, lifeless.

The beast roared again, then paced uneasily, not going to attack either Em or Cal. Emmalia watched it, then looked at the knife in the dead mage's hand. She picked up the dagger and slowly approached the beast, then laid it on the ground in front of it. It eyed her warily. Then picked up the knife in its jaws and disappeared.

Em smiled up at Cal. "Well, we killed the bad guy and saved an innocent."

Callum was still in his adrenaline mode. Being charged by a beast was never a good thing, especially after someone had hurt the person he loved. He wasn't going to risk the mage doing something crafty, so he ended it there. "Innocent?" He asked. "That thing killed people."

"Not willingly. Once we killed the mage, did you see how it didn't know what to do? It didn't attack us at all, even when I approached. It was being used as a tool - it is guilt for the murders as much as your sword is guilty for murdering the mage." She smiled slightly and took his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Well done dodging the beast, by the way."

Callum sighed softly. "I don't think we should've let it go. Forced or not, what's stopping another mage from summoning it and forcing it to kill again? It's more of a loose end to me."

"That knife. Without that knife, it can't be summoned. It was a relic. Mages can't just pull beasts from the shadow plane." She kissed his cheek and softly said, "Trust me, nobody will ever see that beast again, now that it has the knife."

"And what if it decides that it likes killing? It could probably find some way back hefe, and nothing would stop it from eating the people it killed, too."

"Did it attack us? No. You killed a guy just now, are you gonna go on a murdering rampage?" Em shook her head. "This is silly. What's done is done. Let's go back to Aman's."

They told the mage that the beast was dealt with, and walked back toward Aman's castle alone. When they were a few minutes from the gates, Em said, "We should invite Aman to our wedding. And we should have our wedding soon. It feels like it keeps getting delayed."

"We're busy people, Em. I'm a Warlord and you're a huntress. It's almost impossible when to predict when we can plan a wedding date without something getting in the way."

"Then let's do it soon. Two weeks from now. I'm sure if something comes up in that time, someone else can deal with it. But that's enough time to contact and invite Mathias and his wife, and anyone else you want to invite." Emmalia was looking up at him with wide eyes, hoping he would agree.

Callum didn't like the sudden planning, especially on something so important to him. But he figured there wasn't much more they could do about it. "Alright, two weeks it is."

Emmalia grinned and said, "Great! I'm sure Camilla will have finished my dress, and she can probably make you a suit in that time if you need one. Then we can find a priest to marry us outside, maybe by a river, and we can have a nice little feast with musicians and - and Cal, we can have cake now! I can eat some of the wedding cake!"

"I have plenty of suits." Callum assured her. "And yes, we can share the cake together, which is a plus. Let's just keep it small though, I don't want just anyone to show up."

"Oh, of course, I remember us talking about that. So far we have only Aman, Camilla, Mathias, and Ygrid, his wife.you were the one who originally suggested Aman." Sure, they had spoken of this vefore, but now it seemed so real and possible, so she was getting excited.

"Alright alright, I can tell you're getting antsy. Calm down, we still have two weeks." Cal flashed a smile and kissed her head. "We can talk more at the inn. For now, let's take some weight off Aman's shoulders." He opened the doors and went into the throne room, where Aman sat, asleep, with his two guards wondering for over half an hour if they should wake him or not.

Aman snored a rather loudly, sleeping through their words. One of the guards decided it was important to wake Aman, and awkwardly nudged his shoulder. Aman sprang up, shouting about some kind of proposed deal on taxes. When he realized where he was, he sighed. "Oh, it's just you. Have you news of the killer?"

Emmalia looked up at Callum, unsure if she should be concerned or amused for Aman, then looked to Aman and said, "It's been taken care of, M'Lord. You won't have to worry about it again.

Aman was rather surprised they had killed it so quickly. "Well, are you sure that was the killer, whoever it was? Ah, I'm asking the best swordsman and huntress in Trulane, I have no doubts of your skills. Please, ask a price and it shall be yours for your aid."

Em looked up at Callum again and smiled shyly, then back to Aman. "Well, actually sir, since we're friends and allies, you owe us nothing. But if you would like, you are invited to our wedding in two weeks." She took Callum's hand and squeezed it, excited just by being able to mention the wedding to anyone else.

Aman raised an eyebrow with a soft smile. "I would be honored. Hell, if it weren't for you two, I wouldn't even be alive to be invited!" He chuckled, sitting back on his throne. "I'll bring on every last man woman and child I know to give you the grandest wedding of all!"

Immediately Emmalia's eyes went wide. "Nononono! M'Lord, please, no! It's a private wedding. We're only having four or five guests, we don't want any more, please."

"What? A wedding without at least a hundred is so dull!" Aman said, but nodded. "I shall keep the wedding only to myself if that's what you wish. What are the details? Where is it? When exactly?"
