Cal nodded his head and gave her a squeeze. "Sure thing." He said, knowing it must've had something to do with her nightmare. "How are you feeling?"

"Good," she said quietly, nuzzling against his shoulder. She sat up and sighed, then reached to get her armor and start putting it on.

"If you're not ready to go out yet we don't have to for a while." Callum said. "Especially if you'd like more sleep. I don't want you to be tired."

Em smiled slightly. "Yrah, I am a little tired. A short nap would be nice. Honestly, though... I really want to cling to you and cuddle with you for a while, after that nightmare. Is that okay?

"Of course that's alright." Callum smiled and rested back on the bed, holding out an arm. "Come on, I was hoping you'd suggest this."

Em immediately curled up against his chest, wrapping an arm around his waist and pressing her head into the crook of his neck. It was wonderful having someone she could not only be open to, but also ask for cuddles and comfort whenever needed.

Callum smiled softly, his hand wrapping around her side as she got into bed with him. The armor they were wearing made it a bit of a struggle, but Callum didn't mind it.

Em kissed his cheek softly, then settled down, and was soon dozing, warmed by his presence and the sun on her skin. It was a pleasant sensation, warmth, and it made her nap that much better.

Cal attempted to stay awake, knowing they'd have to get up eventually, but everything was too perfect. Callum eventually fell under the same spell Emmalia had, and was sleeping soundly through the day.

Come noon, Emmalia woke up slowly, kissing at Cal's neck lightly, then kissing his lips. "Lover, we need to get up now." Just then her stomach rumbled. "And I need to leave to hunt."

Cal moved a bit in his sleep, hoping he could stay there for a moment. "Do you want me to accompany you?" He asked, slowly opening his eyes to see her.

Em paused to think about us he had already seen her without any glamour at all, so what did it matter? "Yes, please. If you want to, of course."

Emmalia nodded and led him out into the forest, quickly catching a rabbit which she drained, even allowing Cal to be near her while she ate. Once she was done and her eyes returned to green, she paused and looked around. 'Cal, did you see someone near us?"

"What do you mean? Like another person or an animal?" Cal then thought for a moment and readied his sword. "Or a monster?" He quickly scanned the area to try and find what Emmalia saw.

"Don't go feral on me," Cal told her, hoping she wouldn't get too bloodthirsty. He was still rather unsure of what set her off or not, so he decided to be cautious and assume everything did.

"Oh, hush. I've just fed and I'm not stressed." Emmalia led him closer, then paused and gestured for him to stay there, then stalked forward silently. In the distance, she could see a man holding a dagger in one hand while blood dripped from his other hand. He seemed to be patiently waiting so that the blood would fall a certain way. Emmalia immediately recognized it as him making a seal for a ritual, and the chill that went down her spine from the nearby dark magic confirmed it. She gestured to Cal, telling him to come closer, then whispered, "I say we rush him. I can tackle him, you follow up in case he knocks me away or casts magic.

"Alright." Callum nodded his head, looking out at the mage. Cal knew there were a lot of ritualistic ways to get what you wanted, but he found them cheap and unoble. He had no remorse for those who used such ways. "I'll take your lead."

Emmalia put on her gauntlet and took a deep breath, then ran as quickly as she could, in mere seconds tackling the unsuspecting man. She didn't hesitate to get the upper hand and lock his arms behind his back, pressing his head into the loam. Of course he was yelling obscenities, but she ignored them and waited for Callum.

Callum came running towards them, albeit at a much slower rate. When he got there, he slowed to a stop and extended his sword towards the mage. "Are we taking him back to Aman?"

The mage struggled at Callum's suggestion, and managed to say a few words to cast a spell effectively dating Emmalia for a moment so that he could knock her away. He said, "I'm not going anywhere!" And lashed out with dark magic that activated the spell laden in the circle of blood, summoning the beast from the night before in the daytime. The beast was evidently not happy with being in the light, screeching the moment it appeared, but the mage waved the knife in his hand and the beast attacked Callum.

Callum didn't have much time to focus on what he should do. But by the time he was dodging the monster's claws, he figured he may be able to make the monster go away by killing the mage. Plus, Cal wasn't the monster hunter here, so he was going for the mage. Cal attempted to guide the monster over towards the treeline, hoping for it to charge him and miss, giving him enough time as the beast was stunned to go after the mage.

Emmalia quickly recovered, and knew that that beast was ridiculously dangerous. After her nightmare, she wanted to keep Callum as safe as possible. So, she again tackled the mage, this time trying to pry the knife from his hand. The beast hesitated. Again, the mage cast a spell to daze Emmalia, but at least she had made the monster hesitate, and gave Cal time to kill the mage.
