So...

Now I worry Rihaly is going to pop out of a shadowy corner with a cream pie of some sort as revenge....^3^

Something Istar should know all too well , but she thinks too highly of Rihaly to actually understand.

Though to be honest , I actually didn't figure that out until you said so.

I did say Rihaly's vengeance would be silly, but swift.

Well , swift but for the fact that Istar never checked her pockets and Rihaly herself forgot all about it.

Actually , I forgot all about it. I kind of figured Rihaly had dropped it once the whole 'I love you' think happened , and what she'd slipped into Istar's pocket was some sort of adorable love note.

Only made it sillier. :coolshades:

The only person who's going to change Rihaly is Rihaly.

She's unlikely to stop her thieving ways even if it disappoints Istar, although she doesn't like disappointing her Princess.

So who knows? Could happen. But grabbing her out of the air will rile her.

Oh , I don't expect Istar to change Rihaly. I just figured she'd dropped it , which is natural since she isn't my character and I'm not in her head like you are. I'm not always good at trying to anticipate what other characters will do , when those other characters aren't my own.

But yes , I knew she didn't like being plucked out of the air. And I seriously doubt Istar will ever do that again , because she really doesn't want to upset her Beloved (not over petty things , anyway).

Good! :3

I could hear Rihaly hissing like an irate cat in the back of my head just thinking about the idea.

I'm usually pretty good at reading what she's going to do, but sometimes she surprises me even as I write her.

At this point she's genuinely accepted Istar's interest in her for what it is, which means she's less confused by it and lucky won't feel the need to tread on as many egg shells while she tries to puzzle the flawless, dazzling elf maiden out.

Oh I understand that one - some of my characters surprise me too! Istar herself did when she declared her love that quickly.

Aww , that's wonderful! And yes , she doesn't need to step on eggshells with Istar. She's very easy-going and forgiving of even people she barely knows - so of course she's superbly forgiving of Rihaly , her One True Love. Besides , I'd say Istar's fairly straightforward and honest. I can't imagine she's awfully hard to figure out when she's so open to everyone (especially Rihaly). I'm very glad to hear Rihaly's becoming more open and accepting of Istar's love , however.. Istar would never do anything to harm someone she loved!

I checked a few of them, with at least two highlighted that I suspect but haven't seen enough to say for sure.

And fair call, I hadn't looked that deeply into the trope. She can be a manic pixie, but she has her own goals in life!

So looking it over this is what I put for Keth.

But he's my character, so I should know more right?

If he had been military or militia I'd have put the hardened veteran, but that's not him. Now he's definitely more experienced in this line of work then either of them yes.

Keth: "Well yeah. Most of us are very gooey on the inside. It helps me stay alive that way."

I wouldn't say he has to be in a military or milita to be considered a veteran. He can be a hardened veteran in his line of work , especially if it frequently involves combat or battle (which it does indeed seem to involve).

Istar : "Ah , Keth , I don't believe that's what she meant by that."

Keth: *sighs and shakes his head* You're incorrigible."

HK, I can see that. He may be a bit of a veteran then, hardened? Not sure on.

Istar : "That's not a bad thing , Keth. Is it?"

Well , to me he seems rather hardened. But that also could just be my lense of 'Istar , the most optimistic young Paladin the world over' making him seem more hardened and cynical than he truly is.

For the record , I was going to include a line about what sort of 'other signs' , but it seemed kind of clunky and unnecessary. Basically she's looking for humanoid/scorpion/skeleton/whatever else she could know about shadows , or inconsistencies that wound signify mimics , or odd light effects that may suggest some sort of invisibility magic. (See? Clunky).

If you don't mind Grim Wraithe Stjerna Grim Wraithe Stjerna I believe it would be a good idea for Istar to post next , seeing as how she's to check the seeming-corpse and all.

Also , would she be able to tell (upon close inspection) that seeming-corpse's gender? Or if she laid a hand or two on it's body to jostle it?

Okay , er.. what’s going on?

Did someone else make it out of the Trials (also known as ‘this RP’s form of development hell) finally?
