Sorry, but for the last few days I have been down with a nasty case of the flu. I am on the recovery side of things, so I will finish my character either tonight or tomorrow. Most likely tonight though.


Also, still waiting for Exthalion to pick his skills of choice.
 
I pretty much got mine picked, unless one of you take them, but we must wait for Exthalion first. Gods, it sucks being at the bottom of the list...
 
I'll go ahead and take sensors 1, however, it should be noted that your captain should not also be your medic. It is not a good thing to have the pilot and the medic be the same person. I can't fly this bucket of bolts and set your broken leg at the same time! Similarly I cannot play steward and pilot at the same time either! And I already have pilot and astrogation to boot. Updating character sheet in a min.

Also, what skills am I getting, if any, from my associations with the rest of the crew?

Pick two associations and make an offer as to what skill that association might have lent itself to.
 
I am thinking that I am going to go with Vera giving me gun combat, and Sir Killian giving me carouse. Would that work?
 
I'll take Steward, why not. Being only good at being a noble, Killian probably also knows how to deal with such.
 
And that leaves Pilot (any) - 1 and Astrogation - 1 as the only two remaining skills. SO, my question is, seeing as how I already have both those skills at a 2, does that mean which ever one I get will be forced down to a 1, or will it simply not matter at all?
 
It won't matter. You never lose levels of a skill. Unless something takes out some of your grey matter that is...
 
THat is a great point I didn't think to mention, Seph. Very good point indeed. So if you have Pilot (Spacecraft) 2, @Dark Sigurd the other two pilot skills are at 0. Picking Pilot would allow you to bump Small Craft or Capital Ships to 1.
 
Yes. Yes you are. There are two left. Pilot (any) and Astrogation. I am really hoping to get Pilot (any) myself, but it is your choice.
 
I will take Astrogation then. Let us hope I am never called to fly the ship while also fixing it by remote because fallen debris has trapped me.
 
Which leaves Dark with Pilot (any) 1. And the first post is up. You each have been told where the Zephyr is and that you have an opportunity to help the Imperium reduce threats to shipping by being part of her crew.
 
In a word, OVERKILL over 9000! Ok, worked too hard for that one... On a related note, Cruisers are capitol ships? Or are battle cruisers smaller or larger than your typical capitol ship? I am confused. Typically cruisers, up to battle cruiser size, are considered light and medium combatants used for commerce protection and raiding in most SciFi series I have been reading. Is that different here? This is very important for my character as she spent a lot of time on cruisers and battle cruisers.
 
In this system, battle cruisers are the first layer of capital ships. They are more likely to be armed with bay weapons and spinal mounts. There are a few class of destroyer that have spinal mounts but they have almost no secondary offensive weapons due to lack of space.
