Not familiar with that, not really- and that would give Vera a giddy fit, being Privateers. She's going to have to get an outrageously awesome hat, though.
 
But definitely not more outrageous than the Captain's hat!

I'm signed in to TS. I'll be around for a bit. Came down with a nasty head cold yesterday, so am dragging through the day. I can still help finish characters though.
 
Wow, I am just getting this. Millershipper, I am going to be available tomorrow from about 11am to 5pm Central Standard Time (GMT -6). If we can manage to finish the character in that time, I would be very appreciative.
 
New Year's Day should work, Dark. No worries. I came down with a head cold, so between that and work I've not been around much.

I blame all delays on my side on various circumstances resulting in lack of time.

@Hurm, I just need your char sheet posted (even if it's not quite finished yet). I'm behind on my data posting but will try to get that caught up tonight and tomorrow. Dark, I'll try catching you online tomorrow to finish up your character as well.

All four chars are done. Make sure you have your backstory worked out and let me know what kinds of connections you're thinking of between yourselves. I would ask that you try for skills that you have no rating in (this would give you lvl 1 in up to six new skills). Also, I will be going over your sheets and figuring out which skill package to post. I'd like you all to roll 1d6 here on the site roller. High roll gets first pick and you'll work through the list until each skill is gone. These skill are at lvl 1 so if you already have lvl 1 or higher in that skill it won't be worth you taking it.
 
Ok, before I hit the hay, I think someone needs to bring up the fact that we currently lack a doctor or steward for the ship, and also, who is going to be in overall charge. The way I built my character I was going for a pilot/captain kind of character. Now, I am cool with being more of a Wash than a Mal, but frankly, I would rather be Mal. I will, of course, be posting my character either tomorrow or Friday at the latest. But right now, we have no doctor and no steward(which we would need to take on passengers), and I think that needs to be addressed first.


The suggestion that was made to me was that some of us take on skills that fit those rolls as well as the other ways be built our characters. I was told by Millershipper that we will only have PCs crewing this ship, which means we can't just hire NPCs to fill those rolls. What do you guys think?


Next is that we need to figure out how we all fit into each others' stories. My basic back ground is that I was Navy from the start, had a CO take an interest in my career early on in my first term, saved a ship in the second term, gained a contact of some kind in the third term, got a new romantic relationship in the fourth, and helped foil a sabotage attempt in my last term. I made my final decision and am playing a female character. I turned down a promotion to admiral and retired a captain to avoid sitting behind a desk, but I got all the perks of being an admiral. I started with a soc of 7 and over time rose to a soc of 11 during the course of my career. How exactly that fits into everyone else's back stories we need to work out.
