Fantasy Game Over

Uh @Kishune I've been going by normal MMO logic and have had Vricesia's health and manna regen outside of combat, specifically 5% each time I post.

um...I haven't really realized Regen in the few MMOs I plays, but now that I think about it they did have that. ^^;


So I'll allow it but make it less percentage and a make it very 2-3 post it happens.

This..wouldn't make any sense...how are they supposed to do anything? Think for a moment, what if by chance they are stranded out in the middle of nowhere and were nearly beaten to death, they lie there and wait for another NPC to happen along them so they are killed? Another example would be during an intense timed mission, you don't have time to buy materials or rest so you rush out and fight your way to the main boss... but you are too exhausted to fight.


There are quite a few flaws with this, and it might make it unplayable...

If they were stranded in the middle ob no where all they had to do was hide till they were able to fight. The feeling of pain is an illusion that the mind is making real in the game so they should be able to move not long after battle. Like stealth games.


I haven't thought about time missions in the RP yet and if there was you have to accept them at the quest board meaning they have to be prepared before they accept to take the quest like in Monster Hunter.

But recall that they are out of combat. And 1% say every 5-10 minutes is incredibly slow.

I wouldn't say every 5-10, maybe 1% for 1 min. just think of how much time has passed for your character between posts and ajust accordingly.

So she can either do what's in the picture and make a fake rider costume with fake legs and everything, or she can do the fake head trick with either Javang or Akumada riding on her back with fake reins and everything xD

I just imagine Jafang riding Vri with a hat on and whatnot but they pass a group of kids and one accidentally yanks off the fake horse head. I just imagine him going "Oh shit! Hurry, let's get out of here!" before kicking her in the sides and holding on tight while the kids scream in horror.

@StoneWolf18 I like to thank you for reminding me of the job system I wanted to imply in the RP, i pretty much have it thought out with research in FFXIV game, of what to do.

For example, a 'Marauder' Class could also be a 'Gladiator' Class, and use all of the Marauder Skills (as it's the 'Equipped Class') and select Gladiator Skills. They could also be every Crafting Class in the game... Although the price of materials to actually train all of those classes would be horrendous.


As for how I know this... I participated in FFXIV's Beta, and played pretty far into the game once it made its official release. I don't have the subscription any more, though... Therefor, things may have changed, but that's the gist of it.

Ok this in an announcement to every one of a few updates I have to make.


First off though @StoneWolf18 is going to be absent for the next week from Friday, July 15th through Friday, July 22nd with the Fridays being the days she may be free.


Now on to the bigger information:

  1. The job system. It's a system that is available to all players and allows them to do stuff like create items weapons and armor along with other stuff. Each Job will be available at start of the game and will level up per se. All equipment for the job will be available on site depending on type of job. Their are two group types of jobs, one is the Discipline of the hand which are mostly done in Towns, villages, or Cities. And then there's Discipline of the land which you need to buy items for when traveling. I'll list every job down below and explain them briefly.
    Discipline of the hand:
    Carpenter: The craftsman of wood. They gather wood to turn it into a an assortment of items From tools of trade to furniture in the Carpentry, to even buildings, but it will take a lot of time and money to build buildings in the first place.
    Blacksmith: The former of metal. This job primarily makes weapons and tools. Materials for good weapons though are hard to find thou. They work in the same facilities as Armorers and Goldsmiths in smithies.
    Armorer: The crafter of armor. This Job is like Blacksmith, but works on armor instead. They can work in the same facilities as Blacksmiths and goldsmiths if working on metal armor. But can also work in Drapers along side Leatherwokers and Weavers to make clothing/light armor.
    Goldsmith: Accessory Menders. They work with materials and minerals to make accessories and items along side the Alchemist in the lab. As stated as before they work in Smithies along side Blacksmiths, and Armorers.
    Leatherwoker: Item mender. Leather workers are a all around crafter who's talents spread to most if not all the other jobs as well with creating useful items. But work place is in the Drapers with Weaver and Armorer. This job can also be done outside of town with tanning stations.
    Weaver: Clothing designer. This job basically consist of styling clothing items and accessories. They work along side Leatherworker and Armorer in the drapers.
    Alchemist: Crafter of creation. This job allows the creation of new usable items such as types of arrows or even explosives. They wok in labs with Goldsmiths.
    Culinarian: Crafter of cuisine. Basically a chef that makes food for recovery items. This can also be done out of towns with fire places and certain items. Works in kitchen of dinners and can actually earn money with just cooking unlike the other jobs that needs to sell their items if they want to treat it like a real job.
    Discipline of the land:
    Miner: Gatherer of Ore. This job allows you to gather materials such as ore from rocky areas such as mountains. Miners can make mines with in mountains if they get a permit from a near by town or city.
    Item Required: Pickax, & Sledgehammers
    Botanist: Scholar of biology. This job is for studying of plants and animals. Practicing in this job will allow healing items to be made from the plants around, and tame more of the beast like enemies in the RP. This job also allows to own a farm in villages but like minor needs permits.
    Item Required: Hatchet, & Farming Scythe
    Fisher: Catcher of big game. This job is for those to catch and fight rarer monsters in waters, though it takes patience to get to those. This can also made to gather food items rather easily if near water. This job has a fine relationship with Carpenters as well as they make most the items for the fisher. They can also have a boat, but needs a permit to own one.
    Item Required: Fishing Rod, & Net
  2. Second I like to go over is the Menu set up. Me and @Ensig characters been describing it the past couple of pages and so everyone knows what's going on with that I'll recreate it here. I'll display it the best I can for everyone to see.

Because I couldn't find appropriate SAO-type Icons for the 'Sign' and 'Trade' options, alongside the Icons I'll be using for my previous post... I made them myself: Sign, Trade.


I also took apart the images already present to make a 'base' for the Main Menu Icons as well as Secondary Icons which work really well with re-colored Vector or Silhouette icons of your choosing, so I'll link those as well: Main Base, Secondary Base.


I also made a couple of Map Icons, but... Those'll be shown in my upcoming post, so look forward to them.


EDIT: Changed all the Icons to PNG so that they don't have white-box backgrounds -- instead they have empty space!
