"Casual...muggle ...clothing?..." she whispered more to herself then to Earl, quite intrigued with his way of dressing. She wondered if all muggle teachers dressed in such a way. Emily quitely listened as the professor introduced himself to the class, she and many other were intrigued when they clearly heard his accent as well when he mentioned he graduated from Ivlemory. Emily got a bit nervous when she was first pointed out from the class, but she pushed those nerves away as she replied. "I'm Emily sir, Emily Turner.....I play the violin, draw and I have quite the fascination with magical creatures..." she answered
"Alright. Good to Meet you Emily." Professor Wilde said with a friendly look. "And you?" He asked. "My names Earl Johnson. I like Quidditch, Movies, Video Games and Comics." He said. Jack leaned back on his desk. "I see." He said. "You know what those are?" Earl asked. "Yes. I'm No-Maj born." He said.

There were whispers amongst the class as Professor Wilde let the class know that he was a no-maj born. Not to much for those living in the miggle world but to those kids that had only ever lived withing the magical world. One of those greatly intrigued by the Professor was Emily.

He began writing on the board. "Now Mr. Potter taught you guys defense against non-magic creatures and threats. I'm here to teach you how to deal with the magical ones. Now the first thing to know about them is escalation. Spells that work on non-magics can still work but have a higher chance of being resisted or doing less." He said. "As they level of magical creatures becomes more dangerous so to does the nessecity of more powerful spells arrive. Now can anyone tell me how we classify the danger of a creature and how created the classification?"

Emily's hand shot up almost standing up of how egured she was in answering. Getting picked she lowered her arm and said her answer. "The classification was given by the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. These classifications were given to all known magical beasts, beings and spirits. This gives everyone a guide to the danger levels of a creature. And this is broken up into five different categories, they are also represented by X's. One X is considered boring, which I dislike that term but...then we have two X's which is harmless and may be domesticated. Three X's competent wizard should cope. Four X's are dangerous that requires specialist knowledge and only a skilled wizard may handle them. Then lastly we have category five shown by 5 X's and these are known wizard killers....how every that is such a harsh....but they are said to be impossible to train or domesticate. "

"I like you." He said with a smile. "30 points to Slytherin"

"Now we won't be going higher than three in the first term. But at the end of the year we will be reaching six." He saidm
Emily looked shocked and wide eyed will they be actually seeing higher ranked magical beasts. But she worried for the spells they were to use against the beast, she really didn't want to harm any of them.

"Now we will use spells that disable in this class not spells that seriously harm or kill. That said I will teach you those spells as well. We will not be practicing them in this classroom so you won't learn them in theory." (Gtg streaming again)

Emily was going to like this class and she was liking this professor so far. Over all she was excited to see the magical beasts and that the spells will focus on disabling the creatures and not harming them.
(Oh nice!)

"Why would we be learning the harmful spells at all?" Someone asked. Jackson Leanes back. "sometimes there ar life or death situations. You have to have some level of preparedness for them."

Emily looked over to her classmate who asked the question. It was a good question, something anyone would be wondering such things.

"Anyway for today we'll practicing the disarming charm. Generally used in wizard duels and fights but will work on anything with the ability to grip onto something."i

"Okie Dokie. Now luckily most creatures from X to XX are fairly safe and easy to Handel. Skipping straight XX creatures we'll be dealing with the Gryndelow." He said. "Can anyone tell me what a Gryndelow is?" Wilde asked. "Aren't they like... Underwater squid creatures?" Earl said. "They've got sharp teeth and strong suckers... I think." "Very good Mr. Johnson 20 points to Hufflepuff."

Emily was going to answer the question once again but Earl beat her to it. She looked over to Earl as he answered, a gentile smile of her face as he told the class and Mr. Wilde about the Gryndelow.

Earl looked at Emily ans saw her smile. "What?" He asked in a whisper.

She kept her smile but gently shook her head "nothing" she said looking away from him and back to Mr. Wilde
"Alright." Wilde pointed his want and a large glass tank appeared. Within was a couple of Gryndelows in water shallow enough that it only came up to their chests. "So does anyone know the incantation for the disarming charm?" He asked. Earl's hand shot up almost as fast as Emily's had last time. "Expelliarmus." He said. "Exactly take another 10 points.

Emily practically jumped out of her seat leaning forward wanting to get a closer look at the Gryndelows in the tank. Her eyes big with amazement as she watched the Gryndelows, she had only ever seen drawing of them in books.

They didn't look very friendly.

They didn't look very friendly.
Emily didn't care if they were a bit strange and scary looking. They looked unfriendly and mad they were in the tank and out here. Emily just could not help but just feel excited to see one in person. Most of the class were unsure about having to deal with these terrifying creatures. "Professor Wilde if this even safe....I head the things can eat people" a short meek looking boy said after raising his hand.

"In swarms they are dangerous enough to eat people. There are only three in the tank. At most they'll be able to cause small cuts. Nothing that can't be easily healed." He said. "Anyway. We'll only be working with one at a time today. Now Expelliarmus can be used to make a person or creature lose their grip on almost anything. He stuck his arm in the tank and a Gryndelow latched onto his with it's tentacles. "And that includes yourself. Expelliarmus." He cast the spell which forced the tentacles to release him and the creature fell back onto the tank. "Now would anyone like to give it a try?"

The meek boy gently nodded, feeling relief that he would not be eaten by Gryndelow. There was an abrupt of whispering and chatting amongst the students after Professor Wilde demonstrated what they would be doing. Everyone was wondering who would be brave enough or stupid enough to go first. Emily turned to Earl knowing this was his forte, he was always very good at casting magic spells.

Earl looked thoughtful. "Why not?" He said standing up. "I'll do it."
