"Oh..okay..." Emily replied hugging her knees as she looked out to the water and Lucky. They stayed quite for a while, until Emily broke the silence "Hey Earl?...anything you want for Christmas?...I know its a month away and all but been wondering what to get you three" she said. Its been something thats had been poking her thoughts as the days passed by and November came to the end. After all she never had friends to give gifts too.

"Christmas. Right I almost forgot. I haven't celebrated Christmas in years."

Emily had forgotten he was an orphan and it didn't occured to her that they maybe didn't celebrate Christmas. "Im...im sorry Earl...I shouldn't have asked...you don't have to worry about it....but would like to give you something if thats alright"

Emily grew quite deep in thought "truly I don't know...I have everything I ever wanted and more.." she quietly said feeling bad. She was rich, she had everything she had ever wanted or could want to extent that is. As well as the few things that she always wished for like friends and pets she received way before the holidays.
