Fandom Fushigi Yuugi: The Wish of Sealing

I still need to get used to using that @ expression. This is done to show and notify the others who are nearby your character?

@Helral

It's to tag people. Because sometimes the notifications on this site doesn't work -.-

You can use it anyway you want. I have a habit of tagging a person when I make a post that's somehow--in any way at all--related to their character...because I know not everyone reads every single post...and I want to them to know that I do notice their character even though I'm not directly interacting with them. Some people tag only people they want responses from. Others don't bother with tags. There isn't a set rule for tagging a person in an rp on this site...at least I don't think so...

Hey there, I was reading your post to catch up in IC and noticed this :

Mine said:
It had been days since their first meeting with the priestess.
I would say 1 day has passed ^_^

If you are ever in doubt, so long as you are with Gensho I display the correct date we are in.

Should I just have my character ride on out to find the Beast, since he is the only one who is a warrior (of the Empeor)?
I was thinking the 'beast' would be an event the the budding seiryu group could face together.

One way of implementing this would be gaining knowledge about this mysterious beast, and who better to get knowledge from than the keeper of books *hint*

Also since it is possible the 'girls' of the seiryu group may be going out for fun, we can have the beast attack suddenly in the area they go in to.

-laughs out loud- Oh...oh, let that happen. The girls go on a picnic in the midst of a city lock down over the Beast attack. LOL!

Just a friendly word of advice; Be careful what you wish for. Especially when it comes to RP's run by Shin... Which, actually is really fun and keeps us on our toes.

I'm working swing shift this weekend at work. So let me know via @ if i don't happen to get on before I leave, even though I'll be using my Vita, it would only be to check for for notifications and small posts. Nothing Big.

@Tiny Dancer Good. Good. That's how you take on the world. xD

And I decided to just throw a post out hahaha, have to go to work now, so i guess shin can actually edit posts here? I have to problem with that hahaha.

Welp, later guys.

I've started to watch the series but haven't gotten very far. Anyhow, here's a work in progress. Any glaring flaws so far?

Character Picture:

tumblr_nparq5oexf1r4oosjo1_500.png

Character Role:
Senshi

Character Name: Jian Han

Character Age: 24

Four God Representative: Seiryu

Occupation: Temple Guardian

Character symbol: Extended Net

Symbol Location: nape of neck

Celestial Power: Lunar Blessing – The waxing moon boldly shows its face and grants Jian greater physical strength to smite his foes while the waning moon hides its features and bestows greater speed upon him so that he may avoid those wishing him harm.

Celestial Artifact: Ebony Gunadao – An ornate Guandao that's unusually heavy but becomes light as a feather at night. When wielding it darkness does not impede ones vision.

Weapon of choice: Guandao

Elemental Affinity: Earth and Steel

Physical Appearance: working on it

Personality:

Benevolent:

Oath Bound– A man's word is his bond and Jian will not allow anything to come between him and a given promise. This makes him reliable if foolhardy at times. Needless to say he expects the same of others and has an ingrained disgust for those who cannot stand by their word.

Steadfast – Few things are able to sway his mind once he's set out on a path. He is a loyal friend and will stand his ground even in the face of great danger; seldom giving into the lure of worldly temptations.

Negative:

Redeemer – A man may fall but his name will go on. In pursuit of lasting glory he will take great risks or charge into uncertain situations as long as it seems heroic or would serve to absolve him of his past guilt.

Grudge Bearer – While he has learned to control his temper Jian's memory is long and reserves a special place for those who have wronged him. He is unable to work with and will try to get back at these people with admirable dedication. In the same stroke he cannot forget his own mistakes and ponders over them extensively, withdrawing from the world to sooth his grief until repairs are made.

Biography: Jian's father was a merchant and while the trade with nearby cities did not yield mountains of riches he could always pay his dues and support his growing family. A peaceful life however never suited the young Jian and he caused his old man more than once headache with his misadventures. When the tendency did not wane even as Jian grew into a young man his father sought council in a shrine. It was there he met the old General Ma Chao who offered to take the troublesome youngster under his wing.

While endless drills and marches did little to appease the Jians drive for adventure they tired him enough to keep him from causing much of a ruckus. In combat he proved to be reliable and loyal to his comrades, if a bit reckless. His martial powers gained him a quick ascension among the ranks and it was that which would ultimately force Jian to see his shortcomings.

Given the orders to hold the bridge and let none pass, Jian found himself troubled when a trading caravan came rushing at his position, riders hot on their heels. Was it just a clever ploy? He could not tell and thus stuck to his orders allowing no one to pass; when the two forces clashed in earnest the quiet riverbank turned into a massacre.

Few men escaped with their lives that day the ghosts of that particular battle still haunt Jians dreams. Unable to continue on with his guilt he gave up command and retired to a far off monastery. Too ashamed to even make contact with his own father after the incident. When word of an chosen priestess reached him, Jian decided to revoke his self inflicted seclusion, if only to seek redemption.

Life skills: Combat, Overseeing troop movements, court manners, bartering, first aid

List of special techniques:

Name: Full Moon Reversal

Type: Ki

Element: Earth

Description: Accepting the force of an attack and redirecting it back toward the source or dissipating it into the ground harmlessly with a spinning motion.

Name: Half Moon Step

Type: Ki

Element: Earth

Description: Gathering Ki in ones feet and forcefully pushing it into the ground causes a repulsing effect that allows quick a burst of straight line movement. The second step can be used in a reverse manner instead to pull oneself to the ground with great force.

[/QUOTE]I second pretty much what Koi said. Even his little quirks and thoughts contribute to how likeable he is. He looks very promising too! I look forward to see more and more of him.

I'd say he looks pretty good. The only thing that's weird would be that last sentence;

When word of an chosen priestess reached him
1. As far as I know not many people, much less the Seiryu empire, know the Priestess' are there. 2. When the Priestess arrives, as far as This rp goes, you'r mark will start pulsating and as you get closer to her it gets even brighter until after you make contact. Then it stops afterwords.

At least, that's how i understand it. And since Hak had yet to meet the Priestess, I assume his mark will start pulsating as she approaches the city even closer.

At least's that's my assumption. Shin may be able to elaborate more if i forget to find his post relating to the Mark's before i leave for work and get confined to my Vita.

Thanks, I've seen it mentioned in one of Shin's first posts but wasn't entirely sure. It's certainly more fitting! Also motivated me to reread for poor wording/straight up mistakes ~_~

Didn't get to finishing my post, I'll finish it tomorrow. Now I'm off to sleep. good night all.
