Duchy Capital Aslan

As the characters braced themselves or resigned themselves to seeing what came next, a massive explosion connected and left their world in a blindingly bright white light of nothing. A moment later the explosion sounded and they could feel themselves fading away like a candle's flame in the wind until nothing. All was suddenly dark. Then a rectangular outline of light appeared across from the party followed by a hatch being opened and moving to the side. Light from outside poured into what appeared to be a large chamber devoid of anything except for the comfy chairs placed at the far end. The light would lose its harshness as the party adjusted to their new conditions. They would feel heavier now that they were no longer flying around or supported by wind.

A young woman in a jester's outfit would peek her head in.

"Welcome back everyone! How did you like the "Sunset battle of Earth and Sky in the Red Sea 3" experience? Do not worry, momentary disorientation is normal...
any prolonged memory loss or nausea can not be held against the venue due to signed waivers,"

She was chipper and youthful. For most, her previous appearance to them was now starting to come back. She was a representative for a company that offered immersive illusion solutions to the problem of a mundane existence. A budding company on the edge of illusion magic technology, or so she claimed. The party would eventually get ushered out into the streets of Aslan.

The breeze smelled of the sea and they could hear the sound of water flowing all around them. People of varying races milled about in a hum of excitement. The air smelled refreshing but definitely full of various odors of body, food, and material. They were on a walkway several stories above ground level and there were still several stories more of streets above them. A busy and active city. Several individuals with flight magic or flying magic tools zoomed overhead. They realized something else: no matter how good the experience they just had was, the real world was obviously much more clear and real in comparison. It gave off an energy or and presence the things in the experience did not. All except that basket.

Left behind in the chamber was a basket with goodies and a card,

"Thanks for joining us today. Please come again ^_^ "

Not much character to character discussion despite the goals of the rp. Granted, some of you tried and succeeded more than others. The mystery also wasn't too bad. You guys had some pretty close guesses right away. Served its purpose, but perhaps a more chill rp with more socially geared characters would do better for the social bit. Perhaps special requesting the narrator to put in npcs interested in talking that can better carry a conversation for the benefit of the less socially apt characters.

Aftermath
The illusion experience was a hit, but it was a technology ahead of its time. Couldn't handled the demand it had inspired and would have to close down not long after. More personal bootleg versions were dispersed, but it would likely be some time before a sequel to the experience was made available to the public.

Rewards

Novama - 17 points (narration bonus included)

Lucius - 17 points
  • optional title acquired [Misfit] - character obviously stands out in both way of thought, appearance, and action. Character is more easily preyed upon by opportunistic creatures. The degree by which they stand out is not missed by them. Makes them more likely to exercise caution more often than not in this foreign world.
Kasumi - 19 points
  • optional title acquired [Inquisitive] - the character has shown a knack for asking questions and seeking answers. If there is something to be found out, this character is likely to discover it first.
Pierre - 10 points
  • optional title acquired [Body] - character has proven to be an entity that exists and takes up space. Character may or may not accomplish much. Character may be fairly forgettable. But there is no arguing they are a body taking up space and worthy of being acknowledged as an existence. If existence is ever questioned, this title proves the character exists.
Slaxetron - 9 points
  • optional title acquired [B.O.B.] - character is a battery operated boy. Despite the size and construct body, the robot has a very human mind. Like a child not yet in control of themselves, they may regularly perform non construct actions without the need to do them. Both constructs and non-constructs are likely to find them weird.
Baharius - 32 points
  • optional title acquired [I,Dino] - character is the token talking dinosaur in the rp and likely in much of the regions in which they visit. This is their story. If they ever encounter another dinosaur pc, they will likely need to duel to the death to decide who will be the one.
Alex - 44 points (attentive student bonus)
  • optional title acquired [Unassuming Protagonist] - character doesn't appear to be anything special, but they regularly seem to pop up at the right place and the right time to get tangled up in something. They also just happen to do stuff and things on a whim that seem to work out. Nothing they intentionally plan has great chance of success. But the least considered things have the greatest of potentials.
Basil - 12 points
  • optional title acquired [Howler] - character decidedly screams best, loudest, and longest when in distress. More easily gain attention and help when in distress. Less likely to be seen as reliable.
