From Rivalry to Romance

[Paravine]

Ray finally saw light up ahead and quickly ran out breathing heavily. She caught her breathe and looks up to see.. NICK?! How did he get out that well?! And so fast?! Wait.. When did he get here?!

"There were lose bricks." He laughed as he held his arm out to lift her out. "And I grasped them, putting my legs on the side.

 

[Paravine]

She groaned in response. So much for the adventure. Ray, this time, took his hand and steadied herself "So what now?"

"I don't know, you find yourself a home?" He stated, "You're not sleeping with me anymore."

 

[Paravine]

She shrugs off his rudeness as a sign of rivalry "Guess I will then, You Majesty," she says and bows down mockingly before scampering off again

Ray walks along a path trying to look for a place to shelter herself but luck hasn't been on her side. She was walking around in circles the whole time. Grumbling, she knew she would have to ask Nick, or in his mind, PLEAD him. Well it's better than nothing.. Ray finds Nick and tapped his shoulders hesitantly Here goes my dignity..

"Huh?" He asked, turning around and seeing her sweating a little, "What's up?" Kevin asked, dropping his tool lightly.

"Uh... Can I... Takeshelterinthecavewithyou?" She asks really fast


Translation: can I take shelter in the cave with you?

"Uh....why?" Nick laughed, "Do you loooooove me?" He blushed quick but laughed.

 

[Paravine]

She turns around embarrassed "N-No! I couldnt find any place to sleep and.. Never mind, your probably gonna say no anyways," she says and was about to walk away

"So she does like me." He mumbled, continuing his work and sharpening his stick for climbing if he got in a stuck accident worse than the well.

 

[Paravine]

Well of she couldn't seek shelter with Nick or find any shelter at the least she could find food before starving to death. Weird Ray thought there aren't anything living here except those birds and plants. She brushed the thought away and heard barking and howling coming from the woods. THERE WERE WILD DOGS HERE?! She quickly climbed a tree out of reach. Wow. Great day for dieing. First the vultures, then the well, now this?

 

[NickTehAvenger]

"Time to hunt....again." He smiled as he took his stock of spears into the forest, hearing dogs barking and walking toward the noise. "Damn idiot." He said as he looked up at her in the tree and threw one of the spears, killing a wolf and throwing the rest, killing them all and then looking at her. "Yes, you can come in my damn shelter.."

 

[Paravine]

Wtf? I feel. So fucking weak against him. Ray gladly accepted but she felt guilty for making him do all the work. She wants to help but always ends up causing trouble and mess things up. That's why no one hangs around her. She hopped down the branch and landed right in front of Nick "Is there.. Something I can do? Or are you just gonna hog all the work?" She asks still keeping her stern tone

 

[NickTehAvenger]

"You can help me hunt." He handed her one of the most sharp, efficient spears. "Sorry I hogged the work." Nick laughed, heading to an random place in the forest.

 

[Paravine]

She shook her head but a smile played its way to her lips as she followed closely behind him, spear in hand. Soon enough, great howls came from the same part the other dogs appeared from

"Quiet." He whispered to her and climbed a tree, holding his hand out to lift her up.

 

[Paravine]

She grasped onto Nick's hand before he flung her up with him. They waited until the pack of wild beasts showed themselves baring their sharp carnivorous teeth, just waiting for a prey to come upon so they could snap its head off

Nick stayed silent and determined as the ran, barking throughout the forest. "Wait a while. They come back." He added, whispering.

 

[Paravine]

She nods not wanting to give away their hideout. Soon enough, the pack crossed over and starts sniffing the ground for their scent. They were right under our noses. Ray looks to Nick waiting for his signal

The wolves finally left and Nick jumped down from the tree, stealthily sneaking as the river under the hill they sat on showed a dear. "Bingo." He whispered, taking his stringed spear. "Wish me luck."

 

[Paravine]

"Alright break a leg," she tells him smiling innocently and watched in awe as he made his kill with such flawless moves
