From Rivalry to Romance

[Paravine]

She stared confusingly up at him. Why did he apologize? It wasn't like he did something to her "What are you apologizing for? You didn't do anything and its not the end of the world. Wait if you did, I don't even wanna know." she says after a moment of silence and drank up the water she was given

 

[NickTehAvenger]

"Alright then." He sat down next to her, drinking his own share of the water and laying down. "We need to clean that skin off so I can make nice bedding equipment for you and I."

 

[Paravine]

She raised a brow "What else do you know how to do? Don't tell me the next thing is gonna be sewing"

 

[NickTehAvenger]

"I don't even know how to do this." He sighed, "But I can try."

 

[Paravine]

"I'll help, Sir," she puts in, curtsying before going off to stretch out the deer skin. Never would she do that again but it was fun to annoy him

 

[NickTehAvenger]

"Alright. You make your bedding and I'll make mine." Nick stood up to grab something to tie from outside. There were small vines that were stable and durable enough.

 

[Paravine]

Ray went to the stream to wash off all the blood before bringing the skin back and tying knots in it so it would stretch more. She finished in no time and decides to roam again

 

[NickTehAvenger]

Nick did the same routine as her and grabbed some vine, tying knots into the piece of skin he held with two fingers, doing it until he had made a nice leather carpet.

 

[Paravine]

Ray sighed as she smelt the fresh breathe of the woods. Her fingers tangled over the plants that grew around her. She was desperate to know what had happened but didn't want to force Nick into anything. He was her rival but at heart, he was also her friend. Maybe I should tell him? she thought Nah let him figure it out, if he's smart enough

 

[NickTehAvenger]

(What is it?)

 

[Paravine]

(gotta have to make me spill but it involves you saving her and amnesia *hint hint* xD )

 

[NickTehAvenger]

(So I saved you and I got amnesia?)

 

[Paravine]

(basically and then u started hanging out more with crowds and became popular and forgot I even existed)

 

[NickTehAvenger]

The air outside was fresh, smells of berries haunted and eased Nick's nose. Something was weird about Ray lately. They used to be friends until something happened, Nick couldn't recall it.

 

[Paravine]

Ray sighed knowing she would have to tell him sooner or later. Most likely later. Hopefully he doesn't ask. Now back to thinking how she unconscious again.. 
After a while she made her way back to the cave

 

[NickTehAvenger]

"You can't go wandering through the forest." He sighed, "There are creatures we don't know about out there that only want to kill us."

 

[Paravine]

"You mean, creatures who wants to kill me. You're way too dirty for them to even go near," she retorts bluntly. It was hard for her to say it but she's got to remember that he doesn't know she had existed until now

 

[NickTehAvenger]

"Rude much?" Nick sighed, laying down flat on the carpet and warming up.

 

[Paravine]

"Yes very," was her response before she leaned near the fire that Nick started. It was warm, something unlike her. Tell him was what half her brain said No don't! He might leave! was the other half

 

[NickTehAvenger]

Nick sat there, sighing and saying. "Tell me."

 

[Paravine]

She shifted uneasily and let her gaze wander outside "Alright. I'll tell you how nice the weather is today," she responds, "Its nice, sunny, clear, cool..." Ray knew what he meant by tell me but she decides to act dumb

 

[NickTehAvenger]

"Tell me!" He yelled with anger, "I'm not dumb, smartass!"

 

[Paravine]

Ray whimpered and bit her lips in order for the words to not slip out but tears replaced them instead. She sat there shaking while she silently cried into her hands "I-I'm s-sorry," the girl managed to squeak out

 

[NickTehAvenger]

"Sorry for what?" He asked, seeing her cry and put her arm around her back.

 

[Paravine]

Quickly wiping her tears she told him the story

I was just a girl who was lost but then you came in. It was middle school year and I was still a loner. You were the first to talk to me and we quickly became friends. A couple years passed when you asked me to meet you at the park, so I did not noticing a car that ran a red light. It hurled past and was about to slam into me when you gave a cry and pushed me out of the way, taking on the impact.


The ambulance came and took you to the doctor while I cried my eyes out. It was a miracle that you had survived was what the doctor told me but only little memories were laced in your mind. You had amnesia. I was happy, happy that you were still alive. I thought we could have gotten back together, thought that you would still remember me but it turns out, you didn't. You were pushed out of my life by the jocks who told you I was a witch and that day was when I lost all faith. I got stronger and never had to rely on anyone thinking that they'd leave me like... you

Ray finished her story and looked away, not meeting Nick's eye
