How far exactly is technology in this setting? Is it just Dark Ages stuff with bits and pieces of modern age tech here and there, or is it more prevalent than that?

I imagine most if not all "technology" are just conduits of Aether - see alchemist.


Meaning whatever tech idea can be explained via 'majicks'

The technology level changes depending on where you are. In like say, the slums and ghettos, it's medieval ages with lacking signs of technological advancement anywhere, higher up you can see bits of industrial age stuff perhaps, and in the Alchemist Spire, it's pretty much like steam-punk fantasy with a mix of futuristic. I wanted to keep it a surprise. But 'Androids' exist in this setting. They are extremely rare and prized, however. It's hard to explain without going into extreme detail, but the existence of 'magicks' has definitely change the way this world works from our own on that front.

If that's the case, would early concept firearms be out of of place in the hands of an Alchemist?

Considering they employ advanced tesla-esque technology already, something like that would be very possible, yes. Unlike technology that requires catalysts designed to be used by sources only, guns can be employed by everyone, but in the hands of an Alchemist, an expert of both metals and chemicals, these can wield extra-devastating results.

@The One Eyed Bandit I never mind you asking information, so don't hold back! It helps me as much as it helps you. The oldest known Source and thus, Knight, is one of my characters, who is nearly 400 years old or the Aspects, whom are of similar age. The kindled existence of Aether in their souls seems to prolong their lives extraordinarily. Those who die are often killed on the field or through being corrupted through demonization.
