Hours had passed since the first audition came in, and by the time Liam had found the perfect group, he was starving. He had starved himself for this night, knowing good and well how much he would be feasting tonight. Of course, the auditioners didn't know what was going to happen to them if they were accepted into the circus. Right now, he was standing in front of the ten people, studying and observing them. In his hand was a cane, which he was holding himself up on as he watched the group. He could hear their blood running through their veins, he could sense their confusion, their fear if they had any.

Minutes passed before Liam cleared his throat, standing straight. "You have all been chosen to preform in the Moonlight Circus. This circus will be your life, we will be family. You will be one hundred percent committed to this, for the rest of your life. You will not leave, you will not have another job. This is going to be your career. Now. Joining this circus comes with a sacrifice. Which is why I am going to give you all one last chance to leave. I'm not going to tell you what this sacrifice is until you've made your choice. Once these lights dim, you will not be able to leave. If you try.... you will be killed. You have 3 minutes to make your choice. Stay. Or leave." Liam said, watching the group with hard eyes. He needed fully committed performers. This isn't a joke, this is a serious career and a serious life style. He wasn't going to let anyone quit. Which is why he's giving each of them one last chance to get back to the real world.

~ Callie ~
Callie stood among many others in a room. She didn't know who they were or what they looked like, but what she did know was they had came for a similar reason to her own, to audition for the circus. She felt confident, no one had told her to leave, or that she had done something wrong, so she assumed she had made progress with her performance of different animals of all shapes and sizes. She had been practicing and she felt confident with how she performed.

Hearing the voice of who she assumed to be the ringleader speak up, she had stiffened up a bit. But as she listened, she was also trying to calm one of her smaller animals, a small baby polar bear she had named Teddy. Of course, he was only small now, but that wasn't the issue. The bear seemed more nervous than her, and it made her wonder what could be going on or who she was around that was causing the bear so much unwanted anxiety. As the ringleader continued speaking the bear got up on it's hind legs and reached up to Callie's arms, pulling on her sleeve while crying. "Shush little one," Callie spoke softly as she reached down and carefully picked the tiny bear up, holding him in her arms to get him to quiet down. He hung onto her shoulder, as she rubbed his back as one would a toddler, his soft fur passing each of her fingers slowly.

She kept the bear quiet as she listened to the ringleader, her mind starting to run as he continued and brought up possibly dying if they tried to leave after the lights dimmed. Wasn't this a great time to be blind! Guess it was a good thing she wasn't changing her mind.

Maleko
Maleko had performed to the best of his ability. It had been a while since he performed so seriously, having
previously been working as a ski maker in Northern Canada. Fortunately this didn't stop him from completing his
routine with only minor flaws. He stood among the group of people (and animals of course) with his eyes trained on
the ringleader. The man seemed very passionate about his job, Maleko respected that. He kept his feet planted
firmly on the ground, only moving to cross his arms. He wouldn't be going anywhere, he felt compelled to stay,
and if he was taught one thing from growing up in Hawaii, it was to trust your gut, your natural instincts. He
had nothing to lose by staying here, he was getting to that age of needing to settle, it was a perfect coincidence.

He smiled warmly at the bear on the woman's shoulder, he loved animals, all of them. They were pure, not
to mention they were also very true to themselves, unlike a lot of the humans he met on his travels. He had
many animal tattoos littering his body, mostly the ones native to the places he had been. Maleko wondered
if he would be allowed to interact with them, or if they were to be treated as service animals. He had gotten into
quite a lot of trouble in America for trying to pet someones service dog. It was confusing, and extremely irritating
for Maleko. He tried his best to respect peoples wishes, that didn't mean he had to try and understand the reasons.

Maleko unfolded his arms and stretched his shoulders out, it felt good to be back in this kind of business.

Bonnie D.
She had been thinking. Thinking that she would really love to nap, right then and there. Would that be rude? Yes.
Did she care? Moderately so. Bonnie looked around at the others, wondering if anyone else was afraid at the threat.
She sure was. Bonnie was impulsive, loud, and slightly insane. But she was not stupid. Most of the time anyway.

She had to pee, there was that as well.

Back to the topic at hand. She scratched her scalp through the rose colored wig and glared at seemingly nothing.
Her foot began tapping, and she crossed her arms, hugging herself. Did she want to go all the way back home, out in the
middle of nowhere? No. She would rather chew her own arm off and beat herself to death with it. Did she want to be stuck here
forever, with all these people? Probably not. Maybe? Not sure. Ask again tomorrow. Or never.

She mumbled under her breath and uncrossed her arms, her legs were sore. No. Not the legs. Her throat was. How one confuses
legs for the throat, she'd never know. Swallowing swords was a little tedious at times, but it sure did look cool. She started unbuttoning
and buttoning the sleeve of her shirt. Why did some buttons have two holes, and others have more? She'd like to think there was a
reason. Bonnie felt her attention waver, and she let it go completely. She guessed she was staying, there was
no where else to go anyways.

:bishiesparklesl:AMETHYST:bishiesparklesr:
Amethyst was surprised she'd ever made it this far. Her talent was completely self-taught alone in her apartment, and she had nothing to compare it to, so had no idea if her act was good enough for a Circus show like this... but it must have been, as she was here now, shaking nervously, being told she has got a place if she wants it. She tapped her foot over and over, a habit she turned to when she was trying to stay calm. She listened to the Ringleader whilst gazing around the room- variety of acts with different traits which made them unique, each with an amazing talent. And... Is that a polar bear? Omg that's so cute.

She was admiring the polar bear when she heard the Ringleader say "once these lights dim, you will not be able to leave. If you try.... you will be killed." At this she whipped her head around to see his deadly serious face. If she wasn't petrified before, she certainly was now.

3 minutes to decide? Her mind was whirring- this place definitely seemed dangerous, and she might not fit in, after all she was ugly and unprofessional (or at least she thought). However, she didn't feel too bad about showing her face here, knowing that the others all had differences like her. And besides, would she rather be here, where she could be doing something worthwhile, or go back to sitting in her council house everyday?

She decided to stay, but she knew it wouldn't be easy, and she would have to give all her commitment to this. But she was willing to.

"Liam's speech"
Mentions; Angelofwishes7 Angelofwishes7 Nefelibata726 Nefelibata726

There was a heavy silence in the room after the ringleader had finished his speech. It was the kind of silence that brought with it an awkward tension, and it made those three minutes seem to last forever. Marcello had a feeling he had taken a step in the right direction, however, and was feeling hopeful and excited after hearing that he had made the cut. It was true that the threat of being killed had shocked him, but there was no doubt in his mind that he would stay. "Sacrifice" was also a weighty word, and could mean evoking some terrible regret, but the part Marcello was most focused on was the promise of family and a lifelong home. It had taken him a great deal of courage, effort and money to get himself over to the USA, which was not an easy journey to make considering it had been his first time travelling abroad. But he believed there was nothing left for him in old Bognor Regis. There was nothing for him beyond that door at all. March was ready for a new chapter, and believed that this could be the place where he would finally fit in.

Now, sitting among the other contestants, he found himself struggling to stop staring. Never before had he seen other human beings with such unusual appearances. The girl with two skin tones, the man with facial features obscured by tattoos, piercings and body modifications, the clown, the girl cradling a polar bear... Even in all his time working at seaside carnivals, March had never seen other "freaks" like him. It felt surreal, yet comforting. There were a million questions he was aching to ask them - about their pasts, their talents, their physical quirks - but the ringleader had given off a somewhat intimidating aura, and he didn't like the idea of trying to make conversation just yet. He wanted to go on staring too, but quickly remembered how that felt, and so, quashing his curiosity, he let his gaze drop to the floor. He stroked his horns self-consciously, waiting for the silence to be broken by the ringleader's next instructions.

(I am tagging those mentioned in the post, but this post involves everyone really. These two characters are mainly interacting with Liam himself
Angelofwishes7 Angelofwishes7 HunterCameron HunterCameron )

Liam watched the group, his narrowed eyes watching each person. When he saw movement in the corner of his eye, his gaze snapped toward Callie, glancing at the animal. “Silent your creature,” he said in a sharp tone, turning his attention on the whole group once more. He looked toward a human, who was pushing himself to a stand and leaving. Liam scoffed and shook his head. What a pity. He enjoyed that mans freakish qualities, the wings protruding from his back.

Liam waited patiently, his amber eyes looking between each person. A dark grin suddenly touched the mans lips right before the lights dimmed. Darkness enveloped them, little light giving them vision to see. Suddenly a woman’s voice filled the room, “no, wait! I don’t want to be here, I want to leave!” The young blonde woman pushed herself to a stand.

“Mmm...it’s too late, my dear. Please, have a seat. I don’t want to have to hurt you. Accept your fate,” Liam said, his eyes flashing with amusement. Hesitantly, the woman took a seat. Liam nodded in approval, turning his gaze on the humans once more. “Now. You may all be wondering why I, your leader, does not have qualities of...well, a freak.” Liam began to walk back and forth in front of the line of people, his hands clasped behind his back. “I am not like you, but I am not like other people. Hell. I’m not even human,” the ringleader said, flashing a toothy grin at them. “I am, in fact, a vampire. And soon, you all will be vampires as well. It’s the little...sacrifice you must make to become part of the family. Now.”

The man came to a halt, turning to face the human in front of him. “Maleko, is it? Step forward, approach me and raise your arm sleeve please.” Liam made eye contact with the man, his gaze deadly serious. “The rest of you, prepare yourselves. Raise your sleeves for me. The bear. Let him roam if he wishes, the animal is safe here, I assure you.” he said, glancing toward Callie.

Maleko
The lights dwindled, leaving Maleko almost blinded. He could see the silhouettes of all the people,
it was a little unnerving. He had been wondering about the Ringleaders peculiarity, they all had
seemed to have some sort of abnormal trait, all of them except him. Maleko listened intently, he did
not wish to miss a single thing said. He watched as the man paced before them, it looked as if he was
a teacher scolding his students.

Not even human. Maleko accepted that statement easily, in Hawaiian culture some people were much
more than that. He realized very quickly that the direction his mind went was very wrong when heard what
had come next.

Vampire. He felt himself frown a bit. In Hawaiian folklore they had the creature equivalent to the vampire,
it was called Mū. They were a gruesome creature, said to lurk in the caves that opened up to water. They
would wait until dark, and climb up onto the banks snatching whoever had unfortunately been wandering
too close. They would latch onto the living, and plunge back into the water before sinking their teeth and
draining the bodies. Maleko shivered, the children were told about them at very young ages, to keep them
away from the watery caves.

He stared steadily at the man, but he could find no distinguishing traits. Was he really a vampire? There
was no reason to lie about it surely. Regardless, there was no getting out of this. He had accepted the sacrifice,
he sealed his own fate and he would own up to it.

Maleko nodded curtly, and began rolling his sleeve upwards past his elbow. The tightrope performer did as
he was told, without hesitation. Standing in front of the man who was a complete mystery.

Nefelibata726 Nefelibata726

After sitting in that waiting room for so many hours, Marcello had begun to get tired. So when he heard the word "vampire", he wasn't convinced he had heard right. The idea was so ridiculous to him that he assumed it was some sort of game, or a bit of dark humour, and had let out a quiet laugh. But nobody else seemed to find it funny, and the serious look on their faces eventually erased his own bemused expression.

Had he really said vampire ?

He watched as Maleko quietly arose, rolling up his sleeves, and waited for the ringleader to laugh at him and tell him to sit back down. What on earth was going on? Part of him refused to believe the nonsense, but another part of him was beginning to feel less relaxed. Perhaps being raised by a psychic had affected his confidence in reality, and had made him superstitious. He didn't roll up his own sleeves as instructed, but instead held his arms guardedly, as though readying himself to feel some sympathetic pain from that which Maleko might be about to experience.

~ Callie ~
As the Ringleader snapped toward her and her 'baby' she felt a tinge of annoyance and anger. How dare he snap so quickly at her! She had done nothing wrong, Teddy is just scared, he's still young and doesn't understand what is happening or why he was here. Though she kept her lips shut and kept Teddy quiet to the best of her ability, the last thing she wanted was to snap back right now. So she took a deep breath, annoyed, but calming down.

Callie kept still and held her head high. She could not see when the lights dimmed, so she waited for the ringleader to continue speaking. Though when he did speak up, Callie seemed confused by his words. He, himself didn't have any strange or abnormal qualities? And when the ringleader brought up being a vampire Callie seemed even more lost. Weren't those things of fiction? Like creatures, you found only in story tales and movies? And now they were all gonna be vampires.

Callie took a deep breath, this was a lot to take in, if it was all true that is. She used her spare hand to scratch the back of her head as she thought about what was going to happen, she sure hoped this wasn't some cruel prank. As she listened to the ringleader tell her to let Teddy roam she tried to put him down, trusting that he'd actually be safe. But as soon as his little feet hit the ground he climbed up her leg and held on tightly as if holding for dear life. It was then that she remembered that the lights were probably dimmed or all the way out now and Teddy didn't like being left in the dark. Well at least he was staying quiet and she just happened to be wearing a shirt with short sleeves today, so that was done.

Liam's narrowed eyes looked toward Marcello when he heard the laugh, a growl threatening to pass his lips as he silenced it. He kept his glare on Marcello, "it's not a joke, Marcello. If you find this funny, you can go stand by the locked doors where I will kill you. If you'd like to be serious from now on, roll up your sleeves and there will be no problems," he snapped harshly, glancing to Maleko as he approached. Closing his eyes, the vampire let out a deep sigh before glancing back at the horned man.

"I'm sorry. You need to know this isn't a joke. Please, stay quiet," Liam said before looking at the man in front of him. He reached out and grabbed the mans wrist, bringing it up to his mouth and inhaling deeply. "What type of blood are you, Maleko?" he asked, letting his fangs protrude from his gums and allowing them to be visible. He looked up at the taller man. "I'm going to drink directly from this vein in your wrist. I'll make it as painless as possible. I'm going to drink until you are nearly out of blood, and you will get weak. My associate will escort you to the room you will all be staying in. You will need your rest afterward, believe me. When you wake up...you will be a vampire. The pain in your gums will only be temporary. Do you understand?" Liam asked, keeping his grip on the man's arm as his amber eyes faded to a deep scarlet color.

Maleko

His body stiffened against his will when Liam grabbed his arm. He tried to mentally prepare himself, but it was to no avail.

“I’m blood type A+.” He kept it sweet and short, this felt extremely serious. All of his attention was on Liam and his arm. Blood type A groups were among the most common in Hawaiian natives, O types following behind. Blood wasn’t something that was talked about often, because they believed that Hawaiian was about culture and attitude. Family was more than DNA, much more than blood. Maleko only payed attention to his own because he often had donated blood in case of emergencies. Hawaii was a natural disaster magnet. Maleko nodded before responding again.

“Yah, I understand.” He spoke, his Pidgen accent only just noticeable. The tattoo clad man nodded his head once again, forcing his body to relax. He could feel his heartbeat throughout his whole body, he felt as though he could hear it. This wasn’t a joke, this wasn’t a game. He took a long quiet breath in, and exhaled.

He could certainly see all the inhuman attributes of their Ringleader now.

Bonnie D.

She swayed a bit, as if the wind had been pushing her. Vampires. Vampires. Vampires? She was more of a Werewolf and Wendigo kind of gal. Bonnie, ever since experiencing the whole Twilight Saga, had been impartial to the idea of Vampires. There was no doubt in her mind that they existed, or some sort of form at least. But does he sparkle in the sunlight? That is the real question. She wanted to know, wanted to ask, almost did. “It would be rude”, he mother’s voice pierced through her skull. The warning clear. She always listened to mother, the woman was a walking talking example of poise, she would have liked to grow up just like her. But things change, and trucks explode.

She continued to play with the button on her sleeve, uncertain. She hadn’t put any paint on her arms, Bonnie didn’t expect to have to bare her arms for anyone to see. She had her hands covered by gloves, and her wrists had been painted just in case her sleeve rode up during the audition. The rest of her arms were naked, uncovered for all to see underneath her shirt.

She wondered if it mattered which arm, as her right side was less touched by the scars. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly things they were. Risen bumps, like a map that was detailed to the point of actual ground levels. Only this map wasn’t something that lead to beautiful lands, nor oceans of blue.

She shifted her body, trying to get comfortable with the idea of it. You could try to go last, that way everyone else will already be wannabe Edward Cullen’s. She grinned to herself, no body wanted to be Edward Cullen, he was the worst vampire to ever vampire. She very much would rather Blade, or the woman from The Damned. They were badass, they were dreamy, and they didn’t sparkle in the sunlight.

Bonnie physically tried to make herself smaller, in hopes that she would go ignored until the end. She ducked her head while holding onto herself. She loved to give herself hugs sometimes, she took a peak up at the giant catman who was only a person over from her. Would a hug from him crush a person? What about the animal girl? She looked dainty, Bonnie would very much like to hug her and spin around viciously. Like her dad used to do when they would play fight. She always wanted a sister.

Bonnie watched as the other big guy interacted with Mr. Vamp, it felt so intense. She lowered her head again. Be small. “Be positive. Be strong.” her mother would say. She smiled to herself again, her mother was always with her.

The clown let go of herself, and unbuttoned her sleeve once more. The sleeve hung loose, and she cradled her arm like it was a baby. She could be strong, she could.

Liam watched the tattooed man with a hard gaze, a smirk touching his lips. "Mmm...just as sweet as it smells. A+ is one of the best types," he pointed out, turning the mans wrist and looking for the vein. Bringing the mans wrist to his mouth, Liam slowly sank his fangs into the vein and began to slowly drink the blood, closing his eyes as he savored the flavor. He kept his grip firm on the man's arm to keep him from pulling, his eyes dark red as he drank the blood. He glanced over at the associate who approached, ready to take Maleko to the rooms in the back where he can rest once Liam is finished. The vampire closed his eyes, drinking the crimson blood.

After a couple of long seconds, Liam finally pulled back. Blood dripped from his fangs and laced his lips as Liam let go of Maleko. he watched quietly as the associate helped Maleko stand and led him to the back room. In the room were at least twenty cots, each covered with sheets, a pillow, and a couple of blankets. Turning his gaze toward Callie, Liam approached the young woman. "Callie. Its your turn," the vampire said in a calm tone, gently grasping her arm and running his finger over the vein in her wrist. "Your blood smells bitter... Not that anything's wrong with that, of course. Its just...not a good flavor, is all," the vampire said, glancing up at the eyeless girl's face. "Same thing goes to you what I said to Maleko. You will be weak, my associate will take you to a bed when I finish, you will need to rest," the vampire said, bringing the young woman's wrist to his lips and slowly sinking his fangs into the skin.

The process went on. He drank from each person, draining them to an eight of their blood, the associate would lead them to the bedroom. By the time the man had gotten to the woman, she screamed and cried, trying to escape. Of course, the man had no choice but to kill her. He continued his feast, moving on to the next person. A half an hour passed before Liam was standing alone in the arena, his gaze looking toward the few dead people. "Clean up this mess. I want you to go out to that farm on Chestnut road. Take the ropes, bring five cows here for breakfast. They're going to need fresh blood," Liam told his associate, heading to the room and glancing toward the family. A smile graced the man's lips and he turned, heading out of the circus tent to the caravan.

(Next person to post. Feel free to make it morning!)

~ Callie ~
As the ringmaster grabbed her arm, she felt herself get goosebumps. This had been the first time she had been nervous tonight, and honestly being unable to see what was coming didn't help her nerves. She took a deep breath to calm herself and listened to the words Liam said. Her blood was bitter? Guess her blood type wasn't the same as Maleko's, though she was glad he didn't ask her what blood type she was, she had no clue. She gave a little nod when he had stopped talking a prepared herself for whatever she was about to face.

The sudden sting and pain in her arm was a bit of a shock, but she tried to keep herself from pulling away. She felt herself slowly become dizzy and a bit nauseous as the few seconds passed, though they felt a lot longer than just a few measly seconds. From there, things went dark, her memory a bit off as she was lead to a bed. Teddy climbing up next to her as she felt herself fall into the hands of sleep.

The Next Morning
It felt like hours had passed when Callie finally woke up. She was drowsy and still a bit nauseous, but slowly she sat up trying to stretch out. "Wha-" She paused yawning. "What time is it?" she asked rubbing her face gently, trying to rub the tiredness away. Everything seemed quiet, did what happened last night really happen? She tried to move her legs, but a heavyweight kept her down. "Wha-?" she reached her hand over cautiously, but soon any anxiety she has fades as she felt the soft fur of an animal.

Running her fans through the fur, down the animal's legs and back, and gently touching its face, she was soon able to recognize Teddy. Callie smiled, he hadn't left her side, though she did hope he didn't cause any trouble while she was sleeping.

Marcello

The blood loss Marcello had recently undergone had had him in such a deep stupor that he hardly registered being dragged from one room to the next. Unable to see clearly or stand unassisted, the only thing he remembered from that night since being drained were the screams of the unfortunate victims who hadn't made it to the next stage. They probably seeped into his dreams, but the next morning he awoke with such a wicked headache that there was no chance of him remembering. Sunlight bore through cracks in the tent wall, just bright enough for him to make out his new surroundings from where he lay. It wasn't long before he became aware of how famished and dehydrated he was, and so he sat up, catching a glimpse of red on his arms in the process. The holes left in his wrist had continued to bleed during the night, having taken a little while to clot, and had left streak marks on his arm. Now, running his fingers over the tender wound, they took the form of dark, raised bumps.

March turned his head upon hearing a faint mumble from across the room. A girl was beginning to wake up, the small bear cub from yesterday sitting on top of her. He drew back the covers and stood, swaying slightly. There were still a few people asleep in the room. They looked pale and wasted, and he had no concern about waking them up any time soon. From beyond the tent's door he could hear voices, footsteps and...hooves? He was anxious to investigate, but knowing that he wasn't the only one awake made him feel less nervous. He pulled his bloodstained sleeve down to cover the wound, gave her a second to sit up, and then he approached her.

"H-hey," he croaked, his voice hoarse from dehydration. He cleared his throat. "Sorry, I know you're still waking up. This is all pretty surreal... I'm going to check out what's going on in the main room, if you want to join me? I don't know about you, but I'm starving."

The sudden unknow voice made Callie jump. For a moment she thought that last night was all a dream, but hearing one of the voice from last night made everything real again. She took a deep breath, placing her hand on her chest to calm herself before turning in the direction the voice came from. The voice was familiar but sounded different, so she couldn't tell who it was straight off the bat. "Umm.." She sat quietly thinking for a bit before nodding and moving so her legs were dangling off the bed. She swung her feet around and reached for the ground. She felt short, unable to touch the ground till she started to push herself from the bed.

With a little nudge from Teddy, Callie was able to get herself to the floor, but her legs felt weak and her head was still spinning a bit so she had to hold onto the bed for a few seconds to gain her balance. "whoa.." She mumbled as she balanced herself. Though the feeling of dizziness didn't last long, it definitely wasn't a good time. "Okay." She spoke softly taking a slow, small step away from the bed to make sure she completely had her balance, the dizziness had faded and she felt ready to move on. "Let's get going." She gave an optimistic smile, though she wasn't actually sure if she was still facing the man or not.

It wasn't until she heard Teddy jump down and nudged her leg when she thought she may have gotten turned around. She slowly turned, hoping to be facing the right way now. Teddy didn't nudge her a second time, so she assumed everything was good now.

Maleko
He groaned aloud before opening his eyes, only to close them once again when the light hit him like a truck. It felt like needles had pierced his eyes and made their home there.

"Dis worse dan a moonshine hangover." He grumbled deciding to sit up, but keep his eyes closed. He felt ill, weak. Most of all he felt absolutely ravenous. Like he could eat an entire cow, bones and all. Maleko flexed his fingers, they felt a bit stiff, as did the majority of his body. He swung his legs over the bed, taking a moment to get his bearings, before choosing to stand up. He cracked his eyes open, slower this time. He was in the big room that he was practically carried to, but this time there were others here. Of course there were, he had been the first to come in, so the lack of performers made sense. He noted the other two occupants who were awake, the animal trainer and the overly flexible man.

"I'll join ya," he quickly added "if ya don't mind of course." He began walking towards to main area. He didn't like feeling like this, shook up and weak. Maleko was well built, he never had any problems when it came to needing strength, so this vulnerability was very much unwelcome. He peaked out from the threshold of the two rooms, before standing up straight and continuing fully out of the mass bedroom.

Bonnie D.
After the Hawaiian man left the room the clown clad woman woke quickly and abruptly sat up not waiting a second before speaking.

"I feel like shit you guys." She said and stumbled out of her bed, almost tripping on the sheets. "I don't need to pee anymore though, so that's pretty cool." Bonnie wiped non existent dust from her pants, standing up and straightening her blouse. Last night was crazy, did it even actually happen? Yes, definitely. She smiled at the others and observed them closely now that she was closer to the two. She walked right up to the man, right over another bed, shamelessly stepping on whoever was unfortunate enough to be laying there. She got two feet away and stopped.

"Your performance was amazing, it's like you're made of rubber!" She inspected his skin. Nope, no doubt about it, that's regular skin. She got very close to him, but quickly took another step back as her mothers voice reminded her, "Personal space is important Bonnie.". She apologized.

"I get excited easily, just tell me to go fuck myself if I annoy you. It won't hurt my feelings." She gave them an awkwardly big smile.

Liam blew out a deep sigh as he packed away the ring leader outfit, shutting the suitcase. Pushing himself to a stand, the man slipped on his leather jacket and stepped out of the caravan. Heading to the tent, Liam stepped inside and smiled as he saw his assistant and the cattle. “Jennings. Why don’t you take a break. I’ll help out the performers with getting used to their vampiric state. Head into town, I’ll call you when it’s time to go,” Liam said, dismissing the younger man. He watched the man leave before his gaze looked toward the Hawaiian man. “Good morning, Maleko,” the vampire said, flashing a toothy grin at him.

“Stay here, I’ll wake the others,” the man said, walking past maleko and into the room. He smiled seeing three of the performers awake, “good morning. Head into the arena, I’ll answer any questions one you have and explain everything,” Liam told the group, looking toward the other sleeping people.

Liam spent the next five minutes waking the others before he stepped out of the room and headed to the arena. Looking toward the newly turned vampires, a smile graced his lips. “I know you don’t feel good, I know your weak, and I know your starving. Which is why I have breakfast ready for you all. Now. I know the thought of drinking blood makes you sick to your stomach. But it’s the only way to feel better. Besides... you will all enjoy it, trust me.” Liam smiled softly at the group, his amber eyes bright. “After breakfast, we will have a group discussion regarding the circus and being a vampire. I want you all to approach a cow. You will drink from either the shoulder or the neck, whichever you prefer. Animal lover, Callie. I know this will be hard for you, but you have to trust me. To give the animal less pain, slowly push your fangs into th skin and suck softly, it won’t hurt. You look quite hungry Marcello...” the man commented, making eye contact with th flexible man, a smirk rising on Liams face. “Perfect. All of you. Drink up,” Liam said, motioning to the cattle.

"Sure," Marcello answered to Maleko. "Think it's best we all stick together today."
He began to follow the heavily-tattooed man out the door but was distracted by another voice that came from behind. The clown girl stumbled out of one of the nearby beds, and in the blink of an eye he found himself face to face with her. He was slightly taken aback by her approach - especially since she was covered in clown make up that had stayed weirdly in place during the night - but did his best to be polite.
"Thanks...yeah, it's real," he said, frowning as she peered at his skin. "It was a gift from my parents." He eyed the door, eagerly. "Your performance was astonishing, really. I'll look forward to watching you from the wings someday soon. I'm sorry - do you mind if we go ahead? I just can't think straight right now." March gave an apologetic smile and gestured for her to follow him through the door, but when he turned around he found the vampire from last night standing directly before him. He'd come to wake up the rest of the room. Good luck, thought March. They're practically dead!

In the main room, Marcello could see a few contestants from last night already there, including Maleko, who had already gone ahead. They were standing around in as much of a daze as he was, and there among them were five cows - they were the hooves he had heard earlier then. It was an odd sight, and he had a bad feeling about what was going to happen to them.
Minutes later, the vampire rejoined the room, along with everyone else he had left behind. He began to explain how this was going to work, and March felt his heart sink. He tried to bargain with himself - the first time would be the hardest, the cows will only feel a dull pain, etc. But the truth was he had never directly hurt an animal before and he knew their death would be slow. He supposed several people draining them at once would at least quicken the process. For a brief moment, Liam's eyes locked onto his, his gaze so powerful that Marcello couldn't look away despite wanting to. He shifted uncomfortably on the spot, and when Liam spoke to him with that smirk on his face he felt a little intimidated. Was that a comment about his weight? He wrapped his arms around his stomach self-consciously, but moved forward with the others. His teeth did feel different now, his new fangs tingling with anticipation for the blood he had been presented with. With eyes closed tight, he did his best to silence his thoughts, took a deep breath and sank his fangs into the cow's flesh.

He had never tasted blood like this. The warm, thick liquid recharged every cell in his body as he drank. The cow whined and stumbled under his firm grip, but Marcello had stopped worrying about the animal. He couldn't tear himself away. It was only once the cow had collapsed that he let go. Eyes wide, he wiped his mouth. He felt so much stronger now.

~ Callie ~
Callie followed the others out of the room, Teddy gently nudging her to stop or change direction if she was about to walk into something or someone. The fact that everyone was making noise while they walked also helped since was able to get a tag where they were in the general area around her. As she entered the room the familiar sound of cattle filled her ears, and for a second she found herself comfortable and smiling. She loved all sorts of animals, but soon she began to wonder why they were here, were they by or on a farm now? Had they traveled throughout the night? It wasn't until Liam had started to speak about what they were about to and her smile disappeared and her heart suddenly dropped and suddenly a familiar nauseous feeling came back, though worse than before.

Callie stood still for a bit, hearing people walk forward to the poor creatures. She felt herself get goosebumps just thinking about was going to happen Did they have to be alive? Couldn't they had put the poor creatures out beforehand? She wasn't a vegetarian by any means, but the cries she heard as one of the cattle was bitten into made her shake and her anxiety quickly grew. She began taking a few deep breaths, her breathing stuttered and was uneasy. Everyone had to do it... right? Her thoughts began to race, there had to be a way out of this, but the more she stood still and thought about this situation, there was no way to get out of it. She had gave away everything to join the circus, now she must deal with the consequences. Anxiously she began taking some of her first steps forward toward the remaining cattle. As far as she knew more people had joined in of whatever this could be called. A horror feast that she was glad she didn't have to see.

She slowly walked up to one of the cattle that was a bit further away from the others. She gently touched the creatures head, rubbing its ears and trying to calm herself and the poor creature before whatever was about to go down. She stood in front of the cow for a few seconds, placing her head on its own. She took her time, rubbing the cow's face and ears, trying to paint a picture in her head of the beautiful creature just in front of her. "I'm so, so sorry." She muttered softly before slowly lifting her head. There was a softness in her voice, a fear, a sadness with each word.

As she moved into position, she gently gliding her hand along the cow, trying to find the right place to bite. She wanted to cause it as little pain as possible. I don't want to do this! Her mind was still racing as if in a panic as she took a few seconds to find the area. I don't want to do this! As she found the area she moved in and slowly bit down. She felt herself wanting to pull away, but at the same time was unable to. It felt like she was stuck to the poor creature for what felt like hours, her own mind screaming at her until she was finally able to pull away only a few moments later.

She took a step back, she no longer felt dizzy, but she was shaky from her anxiety. What had she just done. She stood still for a few seconds, thinking of what just happened before collapsing to her knees and retching, though she wasn't sure if anything had actually come up or not.

Marcello

Marcello gazed down at the beast as he stood catching his breath. It was a strange feeling, a feeling of power and newfound strength, like he never really mattered before this point. Now, however...he felt sort of invincible, like he could take down anything. Anyone.
No, wait.
That shouldn't be something to be excited about.
March had always known himself to be a pretty chilled out person, but now after putting down one animal he was already drunk on power? Becoming a vampire surely hadn't changed him that much. Not his moral values, not his willpower, not his humanity. Nevertheless, he wanted to experience that feeling again...

His thoughtful gaze broke at the sound of retching coming from behind him. He turned around to see the girl he had spoken to this morning on her hands and knees, heaving miserably beside one of the other cows she had just helped to drain. Once or twice she did vomit, and of course it was blood. If she were a normal human being he would naturally assume she was seriously ill, but with this new diet of theirs he supposed he'd have to try to get used to it.

Marcello made his way over to her and put his arm around her tentatively.

"Hey," he said, softly. He looked around anxiously to see if Liam had noticed yet. "Get it out, it's okay. I know it's weird. You're not a vegetarian or anything, are you? I imagine there's a few people here who are also struggling with it so don't feel embarrassed. We'll get used to it." Trying to optimistic for someone else helped ease his own mind too. "Look at me, okay? Look into my eyes. Take some deep breaths."
Having come down from his initial high, he found that he no longer wanted to look at the dying animals at all. He wished someone would take them away.
He tried to block them from his peripheral vision and instead focus on the girl.

Maleko
The tattooed man shreked his way up to one of the cows dragging his feet the entire way. Animals were pure, they were the representation to ones soul. The were the teachers throughout life, and the guides through death. Maleko ran his hand along the cow, and patted it a few times, as an old friend might do. They had plenty of cattle back home, mostly wild cattle not nearly as tame. These ones looked to be raised as slaughter, not living life freely as they should. Maleko would like to think the animals would have a better time not living like this. He did as instructed and bit into the cow's neck.

He drank from the animal, and even if he wanted to stop he couldn't. As soon as the blood hit his mouth he was lost to everything except thirst. He hadn't realized just how hungry he had been until this moment. It was like his insides were dry, hot sand, and there was now a river of cold water to chase it all away. He felt the weakness in his muscles and bones evaporate, leaving wake for raw power. Before he knew what was happening the blood stopped, and he realized he had been on the ground with the dead cattle. Unlocking his jaw, he removed his newly formed fangs and sat up straight. Maleko stared down at the cow and ran his hand over the bite marks, making a silent request to the God of Agriculture to ensure some semblance of peace for the creature. He felt guilty, but he more or so felt like it was the right thing to do. He had seen what these animals went through for the sake of simplicity for humans.

Maleko stood from the ground and continuously clenched and unclenched his fingers. His body was itching to do something, to move, to jump, to race. But he steeled himself because death was overwhelming for some, and he didn't wish to disrespect those who would mourn. So instead he merely stood where he was, awaiting for instructions or a sign.

Bonnie D.

She followed out of the room closely behind the other two, holding her stomach. They made it to the main room, and Bonnie had never felt so excited to see a cow before. In the town where she came from the only cows had been in a far away field, or when you drove along a highway. She very much liked to moo loudly out the window, and loved when they answered back. She watched mesmerized as one of them flicked a tail. I will call you splotchy, you are mine. She was just about to ask if they could ride the cows but Liam started to explain that they were for eating, which meant not for riding much to her disappointment. She gasped out loudly as if struck. This pain she was feeling was hunger! She wasn't able to pinpoint it earlier, but now she could feel it. It felt like her stomach had shriveled up, and attached itself to her bones, drinking up the marrow.

Bonnie didn't feel bad about having to feed from the cows, she grew up hunting deer, and other game. Not to mention she ate beef all the time, it was the same exact thing. Instead of a pre-made patty it's a whole fucking cow. She rocked on her heels as everyone else chose a cow. She watched how hey did it, it was cautious. Would it be rude to run towards the cow as fast as one could and engage excitedly? Yes, don't even think about it, that would never end well. Even if the others were distracted by their own breakfast? No, stop that. But she could stop, she bounded her way towards Splotchy, ironically the cow she named who had been unclaimed. Bonnie hugged the cow enthusiastically before playing with its floppy ears. The cow itself seemed entirely apathetic to it's current situation. Perhaps it was used to it, or didn't care. She pet it's head, rubbing at the forehead as if washing a window. Stop playing with your food Bonnie. Her mother sounded annoyed, so she complied.

The young woman chose a spot on Splotchy's neck that had a spot to start drinking from. It wasn't horrible like she thought it would be. She had tasted her own blood before, and expected the same kind of thing, but this didn't even come close. She even liked this better than orange soda, which was saying a lot because she had been addicted to the stuff since she was 5 years old. As she drank she used one of her hands to continue petting the cow. What a good cow. This would forever be her favorite cow. Would Liam let her keep it? Even if it were dead? Could she have a vampire cow, one that would moo with her for eternity? Bonnie felt the cow shift under her, that was all the warning she got before the thing collapsed, and she allowed it to fall out of her grasp. Cow blood stained her mouth, as she had always been a messy eater. She turned to the ringleader, curious. The question came out of her mouth before her mothers voice could comment on it being an inappropriate time.

"Can animals be vampires too?" She made her way over to Liam while using her sleeve to wipe at her mouth.

Liam watched the new vampires quietly, his arms crossed over his chest as he observed each one. No matter how much they didn't want to drink from the animals, they couldn't stop themselves. That was to be expected with their first taste of blood. He knew he was going to have to train them, to control their hunger pains and get used to it. Control the way they drink. Of course...they'll have to switch to humans soon. Vampires certainly can't live off animal blood, period. It doesn't have the right nutrients for them. This would just help them get used to the taste, get used to drinking blood, and get the needed strength.

Liam suddenly heard the sound of retching, his amber eyes looking toward Cassie. He silently exhaled a deep sigh as he watched her before he looked at Marcello. Making eye contact with the man, Liam gave him a small nod of thanks for taking care of her. Liam glanced at Bonnie when he heard the question, watching the clown girl bound over to him. He chuckled lightly, raking his fingers through his hair. "Some animals, yes. But not all. Our venom is extremely toxic to most animals. The most common animals that can be turned are animals from the canine family or feline family. Others...I can't really tell you all the animals that will die from our toxins."

Liam cleared his throat, looking at the others. "Now that you've had breakfast, I want to go over any questions you have regarding these powers. I don't want to rush anyone into this new life. I'm not sure what its like to turn from human, I was born a vampire. Though, I do know a lot about turning humans into vampires. So, does anyone have anything they'd like to ask me before we get started for the day?" Liam asked, looking between each performer.

~ Callie ~
As she continued to vomit Callie felt someone come over to her side and help her. It took her by surprise but also comforted some of her nerves to know that someone was around and willing to help her. As the man spoke to her she was able to pinpoint who it was from their group, the man known as Marcello. She began to take a few deep breaths, trying to calm herself enough to speak.

As she took a few deep breaths she began to feel better. Slowly waves of anxiousness and fear were seemingly lifted from her and she was able to think more clearly. With a few more breaths she was almost able to breathe normally once again, though it was still a bit shakey. "I-I'm n-not." She paused, taking a few more breaths. "I'm not a vegetarian anymore." She muttered out as she slowly calmed down. "Haven't been for a few years now." She sighed, sitting up a bit to straighten herself and move a bit away from the mess she had caused on the floor. She felt much better now that the initial shock was over with, she didn't feel dizzy, and the nauseousness was beginning to disappear as well.

As Marcello mentioned looking into his eyes Callie couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle. "I would look, but I'm blind." She smiled as she spoke, her voice sounding a bit more happy with every word. It was then she remembered her synthetic eyes. Did she still have them in? She began to try to remember when she last put in or took out the synthetic eyes. She put them in before her audition but took them out at the end. She may have put them back in to make sure they didn't get lost or maybe she had put them in her bag.

When she was finally calm enough to start moving again she used the edge of her shirt to wipe her mouth. "Marcello, correct?" Callie spoke softly, she sure did hope she pronounced his name correctly. "Thank you." She gave a kind smile and stood up slowly, not sure exactly what was left to come. She didn't feel ready for any more trials, but she whatever go her away from this was paradise.

It was then she heard the soft sounds on claws clicking along the ground and then a soft nudge on her leg. "I'm fine Teddy." She sighed before reaching down and pat the small bears head. When Liam had spoken up, asking them if they had any questions Callie perked up, turning toward his voice. "What all does being a vampire do for us?" She paused, taking a shallow breath before continuing. "So we have a new diet and I assume there will be other things that will change our lifestyle, but does being a vampire actually give us an advantage over anything?" Callie didn't want to sound rude or upset, she was just, concerned, fearful. Along with that, she began to worry again, she missed the company of her animals. where were they being kept? Were they safe? Had they been fed and checked up on yet? She couldn't remember the last time she had been away from them so long and these thoughts were now keeping her from fully relaxing.
