Realistic or Modern The Ugly Truth

The Story

It had not happened not that long ago in the world since these creatures started existing. It all started just two centuries ago, the discovery of them that leaded to a wake-up call to the human beings that would walk around the earth. The humans were shocked about the creatures their abilities as they were stronger than the average human being, making them feel like they were only a weak race. Feeling threatened by the appearance of them, they tried to get rid of them resulting in a worldwide war, not even one country was to be spared as the creatures were spread everywhere. Yet the war only caused for grief on both sides. Some of the creatures were friends with the humans only to turn against each other upon the revealing of all of them, forcing them to go into battle and if they did not, they would only be slaughtered in return as they were seen as easy targets to all of them.


However, after the war had ended and both sides came to an agree with each other, holding a truce. Trying to live together once again in harmony, trying to make it as pleasant as possible for both sides while trying to adjust to each other which asked for time. Years would pass along and society started to adjust itself to the new creatures. The creatures started to even enter the higher positions like being a member of the council or entering the entertainment business as for example actors. The world calming down again after the war that was still engraved in all their memories, not wanting for that to happen once again. Yet as there were still threats from the humans, they decided to go undercover once again, trying to hide their true nature, of course there could be exceptions in them as every single one had their own beliefs.


Now, the year 2016, things started to go for the worse again as the higher ups from the human society who were opposed to the creatures started to create some secret kind off organization that was supposed to be trained in killing the creatures one by one, they still had not taken any action on them, but the question was for how much longer it would take before they would make their move on the creatures. That was just…

  The story would be set in the modern era, just as being said in the text that I have written above. The story would be mainly going on in Tokyo, Japan since it is one of the bigger capitals in the world. Also one of the countries that are more advanced in the technology.

  Feeding Habits
  
  
  Besides water and coffee, a ghoul can only feed on humans and other ghouls. They are unable to digest any other type of food due to a particular enzyme their bodies produce. The structure of their tongues are also different from humans’, making other foods taste disgusting and uncomfortable though they would not die from it.
  
  
  Weaknesses
  
  
  - Ghouls can be killed with guns, knives, swords, etc. as long as you hit one of their weak points: head, neck.
  
  
  - Ghouls will die if they receive extremely critical or life-threatening traumatic injuries that will kill them before they have a chance to heal.
  
  
  - They will die from decapitation of the head.
  
  
  Kagune
  
  
  - A Kagune is a ghoul’s predatory organ and functions as their weapon and claws. It is usually as red as blood (this comes from the amount of flesh they had consumed); and flexible like the flow of water, but firm and sturdy.
  
  
  - Although a ghoul can heal rather fast, the healing of wounds tend to be delayed if the wounds are inflicted by another kagune.

  They live in order to put justice into the system, well that is what they believe they are doing, though there could always be some exceptions amongst the people who work in this organisation. The organisation is established by the government all over the world who secretly do not approve of the existence of the ghouls despite having a truce with them. The greed and power that they have inside of them have made them do this in order to rule over the ghouls if they are even able to survive once The Watchers will be put into action.

  The Rebellion knows about the plans from the government where the humans there try to get rid of the ghouls or rule over them in order to get more power that way. However the Rebellions do not intend to leave it at that and have assembled ghouls in order to team up together whenever The Watchers will finally make their strike on them. They will be ready for whatever is going to happen though they are still vulnerable for any surprises that they do not know of yet.
