Realistic or Modern Fields of Aiso OOC & Signups

Alrighty guys, I'd like some opinions. Obviously we want the characters to group up rather soon in the RP (or at least, I think so), but I'm unsure how exactly we want to get there. Do we want to begin just with them waking up and seeing their champions IRL, or do we want to have some stuff in-game first? The only thing is, unless someone plays as a friend of Cassius', most of the stuff would be just solo - unless we want some chance encounters. At the same time, I can see having a scene or so in game to establish player/Champion relationship may help. Though I suppose it could also work as just a prologue in each person's posts...

So yeah. What do you guys think?

I'm fine with both, though I'm not sure about the idea of them waking up and seeing their champions IRL, I think maybe it would be better if there was an event to trigger this? Maybe the game has a new event, there's an announcement for a new expansion. Maintenance is set to be on date a on hours 11.00 through 19.00, on 19.01 people playing the game suddenly realize that their champions are summoned in front of them or something? Or the game is closing down or something, and the announcement says that Fields of Aiso is giving lucky players one last gift, and it turns out to be their champions and whatnot. I just think that a big event causing the 'summoning' would be better than just waking up to it. just my two cents though!! uwu

Hm.. you do have a point, but I'm not entirely sold on there being an event to precipitate all these events. I was thinking that everything would seem normal outside of these few, leaving them to wonder what was really happening well also just having fun (etc) situations with their champions. Then things start to happen in game and IRL, and then it's up to them to try and fix all this somehow.

Though, I suppose an overnight maintenance session wouldn't break it too much, would it...

Maybe we could have a normal first day, everyone goes about their daily routines and such, then the next day things get weird. That's how a lot of anime-storytelling goes, where things don't normally blow up in your face from episode one, at least not until the last 5 minutes or so. I find it quite the clever storytelling method.

We might have to play solo for a page or so, but it helps establish the world and characters like that

You also have a good point. So perhaps we have ourselves a normal day for the first few posts/pages (I feel like doing it too long would get awkward for me and Cassius, being GM and a solo player), maybe have nighttime maintenance, and then we somehow all meet up and go from there?

Yep! We can always give them a little push to run into each other too, for example, if anyone's character is still in high school I could plan to have Rosemarie bump into them. I bet anyone in their sane mind would think it's weird for someone to be talking to themselves right? XD

Also, here's how to embed images into the post (code mode):

If the image is too big then you can use heightrestrict:
