What game has Charlemagne? I also don't regard gachabait was canon, at least not when it comes to servants. Apocrypha, FSN, F/Z, Strange/Fake, even Extra. Those all tell stories and actually involve the characters. FGO is just about milking money with a mobage.

They are still canon characters though.

And he is in the newest Fate/Extella Game.

Grand order is very much Fate canon. It's written by Nasu mostly and has been stated to be outright lore canon.

It also has quite a bit of story, I think there's as much text as Extra and possbibly the first VN.

Well I'm just saying I don't take FGO into consideration when making characters. Too many servants because of too much gachabait. Canon or not. Only the actual stories matter to me, cash grabs don't.

It's true that Fate is a Mobage and is relatively interested in making money, every servant and lore element in it is as valid as any other Fate work.

Hell. I'd say it's MORE Canon than Apoc or Strange/Fake since it's written by Nasu himself.

Didn't Nasu explicitly state Grand Order to be like, super Canon already? Regardless of any feelings towards the "cash grab" element of the game, individual singularities are far, FAR better than anything Apocrypha and maybe even Extra can come up with. Camelot and Babylonia singularities were all excellent.

Well to be fair I haven't finished Extra. Still stuck at the Rani fight. XD

Fuyuki was okay. Orleans was meh and Septem was probably the weakest. We're literally just jumping from one event to another like an amusement park ride. I believe it gets better from Okeanos onwards. Reason for the earlier chapters being meh was I think, DW being a new company and Nasu not expecting the game to stick around this long. Hell, I didn't even expect it to top among the most popular mobages in Japan.

How good FGO is is largely irrelevant. I don't consider it when it comes to RP. There's too many servants and they're largely not fleshed out. A lot of it is just memage like Mordred Rider and it's generally silly to let that influence character picks in RP. FGO really has very little to do with roleplay because everything about it stands apart from normal fate. And the swampage of six billion of the most famous servants makes it super limiting if you say you can't use any of them.
