Skill said:Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.
Cute, my turn...It's less about the power and more the fact she just insta-cast it.
Her spell was below three verses, it wasn't even one. So, poof, cancelled.
Cute, my turn...
For one, she can cast even High Thaumaturgy-level spells with the speed equivalent of Single-Action ones. Furthermore, while the majority of her spells fall under the One-Line category, their power-level is easily on par with Five-Line ones. Finally, due to the different dynamics, only a Servant with Magic Resistance ranked A or above is immune to her spells.
That's the point, them being High-Thaumaturgy doesn't matter if they're still below three verses. And even those above three verses have a difficult time effecting her. An instant-cast light spear can't get through. It's too weak, too quick, too low. If Alex wants to actually hit Saber with magic she'd need to take her time to prepare and cast a sufficiently powerful spell.
Its equivalent to five lines due to the use of Divine Words. Her one line (thats a spell that requires no aria other than the name) is the same as say Rin using a five line spell, thats how divine words work.
Prep is no longer needed because of them.
Sorry its a late reply, texting and driving is bad.
I don't think we understand each other, but I'll take what I can get for now. Thanks for hearing me out. It's still not above three verses, though. But I'll compromise. It still aint gonna effect saber but I'll change how she dealt with it... But I'll do that later.

Ah, the magic of semantics, things tend to get silly if you can interpret them the right way. Alright, thanks for taking the time to explain how you view things. I'll take that into account later XDWe understand each other just fine, it's just a difference of opinion on the wording. I take it to be more conceptual based, like Hercule's God Hand. Literally does not matter how powerful it is if it's under three verses. You're doing the opposite and viewing it purely on the power of the spell. So if the spells 5 verses, even if it's used with less than three verses it still goes through.
There is no right answer here since both are valid interpretations and would require a GM to have the final say if we pressed the issue. But Saber has plenty of tools in her belt, no reason to push every issue.
Magi have some resistance. Nothing on the level of Servants though.*sweatdrops* Haha, I'm using a Caster without any idea of how magic works in Fate. Good thing Caster's a more buff himself then fight when it comes to knight classes. Big spells waste too much mana when he's trying to save up. No guarantee of it working either <.<
Do humans even have magic resistance?
Magi have some resistance. Nothing in the level of Servants though.
Innate from what I remember.Hmmm...would that resistance be due to the magus's ability to mount a magical defense, or is it something innate to magi compared to regular folks?
Innate from what I remember.
"You underestimate me, Saber!"
Soon...
He does. He always does.I didn't even give Caster magic resistance as a skill, since I figured that was more for the knight class Servants, but seeing as he is both a mage and a Servant, he might have some...? lol. Nothing I can define right now, so I don't know if I should bother...or if it's even relevant <.<
Haha, I hope Dorian knows what he's doing.
