Technically both were downgraded. You could hardly call Kuzuki a mage and Shirou was mediocre. While Saber only had her parameters effected, Medea had to do many actions to catch up. She had to capture the Ryuudou temple, find and kill Assassin’s master, siphon mana off of humans, and had to use magic she had never used before.

Haha, well Johnny has better stats than Medea baring magical energy (according to FGO), so *shrug*.

But, yeah. Given Saber's non-healing sword, I'd say Caster as the disadvantage if she decides to ignore Dorian's challenge^^ (especially since he doesn't know about it yet)

Also Saber had magic resistance of a god so Medea could do jack against her anyway.

Actually, Medea in FSN wasn't that nerfed. While she didn't have a proper master she supplemented that by taking mana from the leylines and the people of the city. So Caster in FSN, essentially, had infinite mana. She was at her absolute peak performance. Saber was the one nerfed into the ground.

Either way she still had to go out of her way in order to collect mana. It didn’t help that the people had little mana to begin with and she couldn’t always stay at the Ryuudou Temple.

But that is why she always stayed at the temple. Unlimited power n all that. When she ventured out of the temple she did so with full batteries. Just, unlike other servants, she couldn't stay topped up while out in the field. But then she never did much outside the temple anyways.

Hmm, only so much spells could do. If you compare their stats in FGO Artoria is far superior. Even their mana ranking is pretty close.
