You can put whatever gender you want as a gap-filler. It'll just be wrong in retrospect if they turn out being a guy, but that's fine.

Yeah, haha. I was originally going to alternate between male and female pronouns for them- which I just noticed I didn't fully edit out- so if you want to keep it ambiguous then that's an idea on how to do it. I don't mind either way.

Thanks. It's been raining a lot recently, which I'm in two minds about. On one, a rainy bus trip sounds really cozy, on the other, I'm super-paranoid about things like slippery roads and mudslides.

Cold just gives me an excuse to blanket up. Half the rain in NZ isn't even cold, though. Just really humid.

I would sooner be cold than humid anyday. My flatmate is like that too, he can't stand being rained on even a little. Personally I think it's kind of refreshing.

The sun is nice too, but it sometimes feels like it's outright trying to incinerate me. I'll take the Autumn and Winter Sun anyday, but I don't even have to be in the Summer one for it to make me feel like I'm melting.
