Realistic or Modern Falling. Fading Away

She nodded slowly. “I just feel like a lot of your fans are younger. It’s not a bad thing. But they have such a lack of social etiquette.” She sighed, eating and eventually stood up. “I’m gonna go find a mall.” She told him, “let me know when you’re free later on but Nick wanted to go find some new sneakers so I’m gonna join him.” She told him, kissing him quickly. “Don’t overwork yourself.” She smiked, heading up to get dressed for the day.

Ryan was the first one in that morning, taking a seat next to max and sighing heavily. “We need him to make a statement to say he’s leaving the band for now. He’s not being fired but he can’t work like this.” He muttered.

Noah gave her a small smile and nodded kissing her gently "Will do beautiful." He murmured before yawning and taking his things back up to the room.

Max looked at Ryan and frowned deeply "I don't think he'll do it, but I'll try to convince him." She said while watching him sleep "They're going to give him some new medication to hopefully help everything."

He nodded and frowned. “But if he doesn’t get this under control it won’t work. Cause he’ll just fuck himsekf again and then it’s too late.” He muttered. “And he’ll make a statement. He’s good at fluffing up words.” He told her, noticing him starting to wake up again.

She met back up with him much later on, finding him in their hotel room and frowned the moment she walked through the door, “Noah? Noah you okay?” She asked gently, seeing him hunched over on the edge of the bed and breathing heavy. “You having another?” She asked

"Hey...how you feelin?" She asked softly when she noticed Ricky waking up. She was hoping the medicine was kicking in by now and helping him out a bit.

Noah looked up when he heard Carmen's voice and nodded before shutting his eyes tightly as he tried to get his breathing back but it wasn't working "Shit....nothing...is working.." he muttered to her.

She frowned and got him to move to the floor, setting her bags down and gently ran her fingers through his hair, “I’m gonna go get some ice alright?” She murmured, leaving him for just a couple minutes and bringing back ice from the machine, sitting down and gently rubbing one of the cubes all over his face, “you know if you pass out, it’s just gonna regulate on its own.” She murmured.

He shrugged a little and glanced over at Ryan. “Babe could I get some juice?” He asked her quietly, knowing he needed to talk to Ryan

Noah took a deep breath relaxing only a bit when she put the ice on his face. "I can't....I can't pass out." He muttered opening his eyes again to stare at her "I....I just....I just want it...to stop." He muttered

Max gave a small nod and kissed his temple before she got up and left them to it.

Ryan frowned deeply as he watched Max leave then turned his attention back to Ricky once the door was shut "We need you to make a statement about you taking a leave from the band. You've got to get this shit together Rick, we can't keep this up."

She frowned and kissed his forehead, “I know love I know but you’re gonna be okay. I’m right here, I’m not going anywhere.” She coaxed gently, frowning more when he started hyperventilating again. “Try and breathe with me baby.” She murmured, not liking how much he was sweating, sending Nick a message to ask if he could come to their room.

He frowned more but nodded. “Whose decision?” He muttered, nodding again when Ryan said it was him that had suggested it. “Fine. But we need a lift to Scranton.” He told him, pulling his phone up to start writing it

-1 week-
Max sat at the apartment smiling some when she saw Ricky come in from a shower "Hey so I was thinking of making some stuffed peppers for dinner what do you think?" She asked him. His medicine had seemed to be working for the most part and since they got back, his mood getting only a bit better though. Fans weren't happy that he was gone for the rest of the tour and had been speculating that maybe she was the cause of his health decline. Thankfully though, he'd finally been clean for the week as well.

Noah sighed happily as he held Carmen in his bunk just thankful for the peaceful morning "Ugh I'm so ready to be home." He muttered thankful to finally be on the last day of tour. His panic attacks had been so bad the past week and just wanted to have their vacation at Tahoe away from everyone.

Carmen was nodding in agreement, still with her eyes closed and holding onto him. “I want my own bed.” She mumbled, eventually getting up to go pee while the bus headed for the airport. She was worried about him but at the same time they would be getting home by tonight and she was just glad that they would be closer to home and closer to help for him.

Ricky nodded and smiled a little, rooting through his drawers for some clothes to put on. “Sounds good. I’m just gonna be here while you’re at work but I can get started on them when you’re on your way home if you text me.” He told her. The past day or so he had been in a better mood than the past six months and he was doing his best to show max he was getting better, even if it couldn’t be further from the truth.

Noah got up when she did and sighed softly trying to keep himself leveled for the time being. He made it to the front and smiled a bit seeing Nick out there "Ready to be home?" He asked

Max gave a small smile and nodded a bit "Yeah that sounds great." She said happily before getting up and kissimg him gently once he was dressed "I love you, you know that right?" She said softly as she ran her fingers through his hair and pressed her forehead to his.

He relaxed a little under her touch and nodded, kissing her cheek, “go to work. I promise I’m fine alright.” He smiled, lifting her chin for her to look at him. “I love you too. Very very much.” He murmured, letting her go and watched her disappear out the front door for work, frozen in place for a few ninutes before he got to work on his plans,

Carmen helped offload the bags once they arrived at the airport but for the most part just stayed out of everybody’s way, getting quite anxious herself over getting on a six and a half hour flight to hlme

Noah went over to Carmen once they were fully off loaded andput his hands on her shoulders to ground her "Hey, look at me. You got this alright? Nick and I are in the row with you, its going to be okay." He assured her before smiling softly and kissing her gently.

Max smiled happily and gave a small nod before she left. It was a few hours later when she was texting him to start on the dinner and that she would be home earlier than expected because it was so dead at the club that evening.

She nodded and sighed a little. “We’re just a right old pair aren’t we?” She smiled, a little strained and headed inside to get checked in with him, eventually making it through to the gate with him and the others, resting her head on his shoulder while they waited to be able to board.

He glanced down towards his phone but he couldn’t focus his vision enough to read what it said, plus the blood smeared across the screen wasn’t helping either and he just hoped that he’d barricaded the door enough that it wouldn’t have to be her that found him like this. The note he’d left her even said as much, pinned to their front door

Noah kept her close as they waiting humming quietly to her just trying to keep her calm. He sighed some when he noticed a few fans and quickly pulled up his hood hoping they didn't spot them.

Max got home humming happily to herself ready for a nice evening with her man. She dug her keys out ofher purse as she got up to their little walk way but frowned when she noticed the paper on the door. She took it off and went wide eyed as she read it over and quickly went to unlock the door "Ricky! Richard open the door damn it!" She screamed as she tried pushing it in but whatever he had infront of the door was too heavy. She quickly called 911 as she continued to try and push open the door praying that she got there early enough.

She frowned a little and glanced over at him. “So inconspicuous… so well hidden… wearing your own bands merch.” She teased him a little, getting up to stretch her legs some, “I think we should take my car up to the cabin. I’m concerned about yours on the mountain roads.” She pointed out.

He could hear her screaming for him but even if he wanted to get up and let her in to this mess he couldn’t move anymore and it wasn’t long before he heard sirens getting closer, fading in and out of consciousness by this point.

Noah rolled his eyes a bit "Its comfy though." He pouted before leaning his head against hers "Sounds like a good idea. I'm so ready to get away from everything." He murmured

Max was still trying to break down the door by the time the medics arrived. She was thankful that an officer had showed up as well and he had the strength the get through thd door. She quickly rushed to try and find him yelling for them when she saw him in his little office/studio area. She tried to get to his side but the officer held her back so the medics could get in there and help him.

She nodded and smiled a little, grabbing her carry on when they called for boarding and followed him up to the desk, trying to let the whole thing wash over her a little until they were in their seats.

they worked quickly to stop the bleeding but he’d lost too much already by that point and they were quick to get him on a stretcher and get him out of there, not allowing max to ride in the back.

“Ma’am let’s take you down there alright? We don’t want you driving yourself right now. Is there anyone we can call for you?” One of the officers asked hee, guiding her towards their xar

Noah sat down once they were boarded and took Carmen's hand in his once she was seated "So I've been working on that song of yours. I think I'm just about done with it, you want to hear it once we land?" He asked trying to keep her mind at ease.

Max was shaking and sobbing as she watched them patch up Ricky the best they could. Unable to tear her eyes away from the blood as the officers spoke to her. She finally snapped out of it as they gently shook her and repeated their questions "No....they're all on a plane home...I....here call these numbers and leave a message." She said quietly before giving them Vinny and Chris' numbers "I uh...I will call his family once we get there."

She nodded and looked over at him. “Yeah that would be good… all the shit I get for my dad being a producer but it’s my boyfriend that has helped me do this shit from the start.” She winked at him. She tried her best to stay calm for the whole flight but halfway through was when they started hitting major turbulence and by the time they landed that evening she had nothing left in her stomach, leaning on Noah for the rest of the airport stuff and finally saying goodbye to everyone while they got their taxi back home, “can you ask him to roll the windows down a little?” She mumbled, still feeling nauseous and wanting to not be travelling anymore

Vinny was the first one to call her back the moment he had listened to his voicemail, ordering an Uber to go home. “Hey… what the fuck is going on? What did he do?” He asked her quickly.

Ricky was awake by this point, not talking to anyone but he looked over at max when she answered the phone, glancing back down at his arms covered in bandaging.

Noah knocked on the window divider and asked the driver to roll her window down a bit. He squeezed her hand gently and gave a small smile "Just think, tomorrow we'll be on our way to Tahoe for a week of ultimate relaxation." He said happily

Max had called his dad once she had calmed down enough to talk at the hospital. She sat with him hours later in complete silence. She didn't know what to say or if she could even trust her voice enough to talk to him right now. She jumped slightly when her phone rang loud throughout the room and quickly picked it up "Hey Vin....uh...give me a minute." She said quietly before stepping out to speak with him "Its not good Vin, oh god....he uh...shit Vin he tried to off himself, he left a note on the front door and barricaded himself in the house." She explained trying to keep her composure.

She nodded tiredly. “You got the gym first thing don’t you?” She asked yawning a little and going to turn her phone back on, frowning when immediately it pinged with several messages from max, sitting up straight and reading through them. “Shit. Shit shit shit.” She muttered. “Rickys tried to end things. She got home to the front door barricaded.” She told Noah frowning,

Vinny frowned and shook his head. “Don’t yell at him…. Please…. None of us knew it was that bad… I’ll talk to Chris and see if we can get down there in the morning.” He told her.

Noah frowned deeply and shook his head some "Shit thats not good, well try to text her when we get home. Make sure they got to him in time at least." He murmured

Max shook her head and gave a heavy sigh as she finished talking to him. She went back in once she was done and sat down beside Ricky biting her lip gently before looking at him "I'm not mad....or upset....I'm just scared." She told him quietly

He frowned and just nodded slowly, “I didn’t want you to find me…. You weren’t meant to come in the house.” He mumbled not wanting her to witness that.

She nodded and frowned, going to lean back again until they got home, getting out to get fresh air and her feet on solid ground, taking her bags up to their front door while Noah paid the guy, freezing at the front door. “Noah!” She called back to him frowning.

Max took a shaky breath and nodded softly "I know but I...the club was dead and I was coming home early because they said I could...I found your note, I couldn't...I couldn't just leave you in there Rick." She whispered

Noah frowned deeply and quickly got the guy paid before he rushed up to her on the porch. "Whats wrong? Hey whats wrong?" He asked when he noticed how pale she had gone.

She turned to face him and handed him the envelope with ‘to my darling’ written on the front in an all too familiar handwriting. “I don’t… it’s him I know it’s him and I… he was at our house.” She told him shakily. She’d dealt with a stalker for a year before they’d officially got together but for the past few years the guy had left her alone. At least until now.

He frowned and shook his head. “I don’t know what else to do.” He told her, swallowing back tears and just staring at the ceiling. “I can’t keep doing this.”
