Fallen: Friends or foes?

Chez paused, looking at her. "You're tired" He observed out loud. Looking outside he could see it was already dark. "We don't have to be off so soon. Where would you choose to sleep?"

Chez looked to where she was looking and nodded. "Okay" He walked out with Akira and headed straight for the building, walking in and looking around. He walked right up to the first person he saw who happened to be behind a desk "I require a place to sleep here. Where are the sleeping, uh... Things. My companion needs to rest." He knew humans slept in beds, but he always forgot the names of things like that.

Aki sighed and walked up. "We need a room." She said. She was promptly handed her key and she walked towards the elevator.

Chez watched Akira, confused. Why did that work but not what he did? He huffed a bit before following her to the elevator.

Chez looked at her, utterly perplexed. "My-... I'll have you know my... 'undies' are most certainly not twisted. Even if they were, there is no way you would have been able to see them anyway, since I am wearing pants." He frowned at her as if insulted she would even suggest such a thing.

"Why am I upset? You could have just asked." He huffed again. "I'm not really upset, I'm... Confused, I guess. I don't get how things work here and when I try and do something it doesn't work, then you do it and it works. I didn't see any difference in our approaches, but you got a room and I didn't."

Aki sighed. "You have to ask the right way. When you go to a place like this, you ask for a room, not for a place to fulfill sleeping." She said. "It confuses people. If you want help, ask. And the reason I seem like I am angry is because that is the way humans are if they have not slept enough." She said, getting out of the elevator and heading to there room. She opened it to find one bed inside. Sighing, she set her stuff on the table. "I am going to take a shower." She said, walking to the bathroom and shutting the door.

Chez huffed at her words, following her silently the rest of the way to the room they would be staying in. "Humans are so odd..." he mumbled to himself, stuffing his hands in his pockets and frowning. He watched as she went into the bathroom before looking around the rest of the room. He poked and prodded at things, eventually turning on the tv and panicking as it made a loud static sound. It took a few tries before he could turn off the tv. Deciding that was enough with the strange lighting box, he looked at the bed, and laying across the soft surface. He'd have to ask what it was for when Akira came back.

Akira came back out to the bathroom, her hair wet. She looked him on the bed and sat next to him, sitting near his head. "Comfortable?" She asked.

Chez looked from the ceiling to Akira as she sat next to him. He nodded at her words. "Yeah... What is this for? It is very soft." His hand pat the bed beside him as if to make a point.

Akira smiled. "It's for sleeping." She said, sliding her body under he covers. She laid her head on one of the pillows and turned out the light.

Chez had an expression of understanding. "Oh yes. Humans sleep. And dream." He scoot over when Akira got into the bed. "I wonder what that's like. Dreaming." Again, he stared up at the ceiling as the lights were turned out.

Akira sighed. "It's wonderful." she said. "You get to see things that will probably never happen." She said, a bit sadly.

Chez's eyebrows knotted together in thought. "I see... I hope the dreams you have are ones that make you happy then." After that Chez fell silent, seeming to be thinking to himself.

Chez didn't sleep. He stayed laying there for a while, staring and thinking in the darkness, listening to Akira's quiet breathing. He got restless after a while though and got up, leaving the room a few moments later. Later, when the sun was well up in the sky, Chez came back, several plates of food in his hands with things ranging from waffles to strawberries. There was a donut in his own mouth seeing as he didn't have anymore hands to hold it with. He looked to see if Akira was awake yet.

Akira woke up, blinking a few times. She smelled something, breakfasty. She smiled and sat up, rubbing her eyes. "Morni....." Akira said, seeing the large pile of food. "Where did you get all that?"

Chez looked at her, smiling behind the donut. "nuh muh fih buh" He tried to talk around the donut but failed. With a sigh, he put the plates down on a table and took the donut out of his mouth. "There was food downstairs and they said it was free so I brought you some." The angel grinned proudly and took a bite of his donut. "These things are really good." He said with a mouth full.

Akira smiled. "Well, thanks." She said, grabbing one of the doughnuts. She took a bite and moaned. "PURE SUGAR!" she said, leaning back on the bed in happiness.

Chez smiled more and continued eating his donut. "I went around while you were asleep. There's a lot of things I didn't know about humans. Also, words I don't know." He spoke, not seeming to care that his mouth was full as he did. "So many different kinds of people. Very violent too. Especially at night. It like you change from day to night. It's odd. Do you change at night? You're not human, but you're very like the humans. You act like them and know them."
