Fallen: Friends or foes?

Aki looked up. "Sure. At the least it's nice to know there is someone who is not exactly normal. Like me." She said, backing up a bit to give him space. He was an interesting fellow to say the least. If he was big, she was glad they did it in here. It was the tallest room in her house. Then again, her house wasn't that tall.

Chez stood from where he had sat down and walked to the very center of the room. Looking side to side he judged the distance he had to each wall before sighing. This would be easier outside. Suddenly wings sprouted on either side on his back. They only spread out a bit first, fluttering for a moment as if they had the urge to spread out more but instead they folded against Chez's back. Chez looked a bit uncomfortable if only for the lack of space in the room.

Aki heard a dull thunk as her jaw hit the floor. Not literally, but metaphorically. The thunk was more of her brain shutting down for a few seconds. She looked at the wings on his back and her jaw closed very gently. "Your and angle? But aren't angels supposed to live up there?" She said, gesturing up to the ceiling.

Chez watched her reaction closely. At her question, he shook his head. "No, angels do not live 'up there.' That is more of something humans have made up as a way to feel closer to God. Heaven is not a place of clouds. It is not even in this... realm of existence I supposed. Same with Hell. Demons do not live under the soil. As for me being an angel, I guess you could say that, though I have turned my back on Heaven and my... 'brothers.' I wish to have nothing more to do with them. In any event, I have come to learn more about the freedoms of your world, and mayde practice that ability for myself." He smiled, something he's been trying to teach himself to do more often. "So far it's pretty great."

Aki got out of her position and walked closer to him. "There beautiful." She said, her eyes wide. She thought this was about the coolest thing in the universe. "And it's good that I have never believed in that kind of stuff or else I would be here praying to a saint and saying I am the chosen one." She joked.

Chez wrinkled his nose at her words and hoped she didn't decide to reach out and touch his wings. "No. If I were any other angel than myself, you might be able to call yourself. I on the other hand d not even hold the full potential of an angel anymore. Most of my powers aren't even of angelic nature anymore." His wings twitched, crowded in this room. It wasn't anymore comfortable to have them away completely though. "It's safe to believe in a Heaven and Hell. Faith in those powers and God is something else entirely though. God has not spoken in a long while.

Aki rolled her eyes. "Tell me about it. And I would guess that you are some sort of fallen angel considering you are standing in my family room." She said, gesturing around. Secret to him, but he was the first guy in her house ever. Her parents would be livid if they saw him here. This was why she was glad they had jobs.

Chez stared at her for a moment before the sides of his mouth lifted up in an amused smile and he laughed a bit. "'fallen angel.' That's quite clever since you seem to connect angels and heaven with the sky. Huh. A fallen angel..." He thought about it for another moment. "I like that actually. Sure. You can call me a fallen angel."

Aki smiled. "I never actually seen a used to be angel." She said. She looked at the wings and looked at her tail. "Anyway, you have never told me your name." She said, looking at his face. Now that she thought about it, it did make sense that he was an angel. He had white hair and eyes and clothing too.

Chez raised an eyebrow at her. "My name? I did tell you in the cafe. My name is Chez." He introduced again.

Chez smirked a bit "Hello, Akira" He fluttered his wings a bit before sighing and a making them disappear again. "It's really crowded in here." Glancing around again, he took a few steps towards the door. "Well, I have no more questions. If there's nothing else you want from me, I guess I'll go. I want to try some other things in this town before I left it."

Aki looked at him. "Hey, wait." She said. "I really want to get the heck out of here and do something exciting. Travel the world and such. Will you help me?" She asked. She thought he was interesting enough. She just needed a person to travel with and could become her dandy partner. Tomorrow was the last day of school and she would be free for 8 weeks.

Chez paused and looked at her, thinking for a moment. He seemed to make a decision and held out a hand to her. "Have you ever flown?"

Smiling now, Chez took hold of her hand and pulled her out of the house. As soon as he was out of the house, he spread his wings out again, this time letting them go to their full length. "Don't worry. No one can see me like this now." Holding his hand out to her again, he grinned. "You said you wanted to get away from here, right? Will you fly with me? I could use some company."

Aki nodded. She could skip the last day of school. She didn't want to leave her parents, but they were almost never home so it didn't matter much. She could come back eventually. She smiled and took his hand and looking at his wings. She smiled and looked around. "I am glad no one can see us or else they would freak." She said.

Taking her hand, he pulled her close, lifting her off her feet. "That would be a sight to see. Maybe we'll try that sometime." Then he took one big leap into the air and suddenly the two of them were soaring in the air, Akira's house below them.

Aki squealed, her face a wide grin. She had never seen an areal view of her house but it was stunning. She looked at all the places around her in awe, happiness flooding her body.

Chez looked down at her once they were in the air. He looked more content there in the sky. "Do you like it up here?" He asked as he started to fly over above the city. The ground seemed to move by slowly and people looked like small moving dots on the pavement.

Aki nodded, still looking down. "This is the most amazing thing ever!" She yelled as they flew over the city. She was starting to feel kind of glad that she had left everyone behind.

"It is, isn't it? Watching the humans from up here is interesting. You see everything that is going on." He looked down at the humans, then back at her. "Is there anywhere you want to go?"

Ayumi looked up. "I have always wanted to go to Tokyo, again." She said, looking down at everyone. She wondered what they were going to do. She was broke, basically.

Chez thought for a moment. "Ah. Tokyo. That's in... Japan, right?" He looked off in one direction. "We'll make our way there then. If we go fast enough we can make it by tomorrow... I'm not sure if your body can withstand that though, so it will probably take us three days to get there. We can stop at other places too."

Aki nodded. "Sounds good to me." She said, looking down. The city looked so beautiful at the moment, it was great to be up here. If she could fly at a height like this, that would be awesome.
