Fallen: Friends or foes?

Chez nodded and continued flying. They quickly passed by Akira's city and it was barely a speck in the distance. It was starting to get late, though Chez wasn't a creature needing much sleep so he only kept flying. He seemed to have more to say though. "Akira, do humans not tolerate beings different than them? You said they treated you like a freak. I haven't shown my form to anyone, but that's for different reasons."

Aki looked down. "Humans take any other being different than them as something lower than they are or something that threatens there way of life. Basically they take those people and try to crush them like an ant." She said looking at the ground beneath her. Somehow, she felt he wouldn't drop her to the ground.

Chez looked into the horizon, thinking about her words. "Humans are weak against each other. I think that is good though. They have many flaws, but they also have the one thing I want. I think they are better than angels. God was right in that." His grip on her was firm yet gentle in hopes she wouldn't be uncomfortable.

Aki looked at him. "What is the one thing you want? If you don't mind me asking." She said, looking him in the eyes. The wind ruffled her hair around as they flew in the air. She looked at him with wonder in her eyes, his silver hair floating around with hers as they flew towards Tokyo. She wanted to explore more with him.

"Freedom. That's why I came to Earth. I want freedom. We don't have a lot of that in Heaven. On Earth everyone has a chance to do anything they want, and that's what I want. Though I'm not quite sure what to do with my freedom now. I just know it's better than what I was doing." He explained.

Aki smiled. "Well we can be free together. Explore the world, climb mountains, see Paris, go to Disneyland. Well, most things costed money, but they could save on traveling. She smiled and looked out on the horizon, her eyes squinting because of the sun. Sometimes, having cat eyes was a blessing, others, not so much.

"Do you want to go to all those places?" He thought for a moment. "If we need money, I could get some if you tell me where some is held."

Aki looked at him. "I have a bit in my personal account, but not a ton. Well, if you count 30,000 as not a lot." She said.

"Oh. Well then we have 30.000. But I meant if we needed money from a place that we didn't already have. How long so you think 30,000 will last us?" He glanced at her. "I can get us more if we run out."

Aki looked up. "It will last us for a long time. Unless we spend a crap ton of money, then were good."

Chez blinked at Akira confusedly. "A 'crap ton'?" He looked confused. Not having been on Earth very long, figured or speech still made no sense to him. "I do not think we should buy a ton of feces, Akira."

Chez still looked a bit confused, but he looked forward again to where he was going. It was quite drafty up so, but the cold didn't seem to bother him. "I can't be sure how much we'll buy."

"Yes, but we probably won't spend all that in one day." Aki said, looking at the horizon they were flying to.

There was another city coming up on the horizon. He paused and thought for a moment. Humans ate often, didn't they? "Do you need food?"

"Oh. Okay." He flew to the city and landed, setting her on the floor. His wings disappeared a moment later. "Where do you go to eat in a place like this?"

Aki smiled and looked around. "We eat at a place called a restaurant." She said, grabbing his hand and walking towards a nearby Olive Garden.

Chez followed her looking around as they went. It was amazing how every city could look so much alike yet always different. As they got closer to the Olive Garden, his eyes widened. "That smells... delicious." One of Chez's favorite things here on Earth was the food. In Heaven there was food, but nothing good. It was bland and it's only use was sustenance, though he really didn't have to eat much at all.

Aki smiled. "Good, because that is where were going." She said, dragging him inside. It was a slow day so they got seated right away and Aki picked up her menu, looking at the choices.

Chez followed her inside, almost feeling dizzy at the strong smells of food. He sat then looked at the menu that was placed in front of him. Looking down at it, he saw pictures of food, but nothing actually edible. Glancing around, he saw others and Akira holding the menu, so he picked up his as well, opening it and looking at all the pictures of food. Unsure what he was looking at, he reached out and pocked one of the pictures of something that might look good to eat. Maybe that's how it worked? Yet nothing happened. With a disappointed huff, he put the menu back down and looked at Akira. "How does this work?" He asked, pointing down at the menu.

Aki giggled and put the picture back in the menu. "You pick what you want to eat and someone will come by to serve you. But you order a drink first." She said as a waiter came. "What would you like miss?" He asked. "Lemonade." She said. "And you sir?" He asked.

Chez understood a bit of what she explained, but he still wasn't sure what the food was on the menu. As the waiter came, he looked up at him, glancing at Akira as she ordered a drink. Not knowing what he should have, he copied her, thinking it must be good if she was getting some. "Lemonade?"

The waiter nodded and went away. Aki looked at him. "Do you have any idea what lemonade is?" She asked. He didn't really seem like he did.

Chez looked at her and shook his head. "No. Is it good?" He glanced back at his menu. "I don't know what any of this is either."
